From the moment we arrived on a wet and windy afternoon we were transported to total relaxation & amazing hospitality. We arrived hungry so had tea & sandwiches in the lounge beside a roaring log fire. Sandwiches were absolutely delicious (we chose prawn & blt). After dragging ourselves away from the log fire, we went upstairs to our bedroom which was lovely. Very nicely decorated with all the amenities you would expect. Penhaligon toiletries were a luxury treat. Dinner & Breakfast were tasty & sitting in the conservatory for a pre dinner drink was cosy (lovely wool blankets in a basket if you want a bit of extra heat) but the stars of the weekend for us were definitely the staff. They were exceptional. Very professional & efficient while still maintaining a friendliness. We were given a map of the island by staff & had a great walk looking for eagles, deer etc. (Wellingtons available at reception) We walked to otter point & were lucky enough to see otters playing in the water. Other wildlife stayed hidden. We had been to Isle of Eriska a few years ago & although lovely, we felt it looked a bit tired and in need of some decorating. It now looks superb. The new owners have clearly invested lots of money refurbishing the hotel and it definitely shows. Not at all surprised celebrities escape to this lovely hotel/island. Thank You Isle of Eriska for a lovely weekend. We will be back.

Beautiful Victorian house with comfortable rooms and luxurious modern bathrooms. The room had charming decorations and a comfortable bed, and even included a floor-standing fan, which was a huge relief when the day we stayed turned out to be unusually warm. The owners were nice, friendly people. The location is great, just a little up the hill from the train station, ferry terminal, and city center of Oban, on a quiet residential street. Be warned that the rooms are all upstairs, so you will need to carry your luggage up. On the plus side, there is a cozy guest lounge upstairs with a great view over the bay.

The hosts were so friendly and accommodating! They accomodate to your specific needs which is a really nice touch. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The accomodation was beautiful and our room was amazing. Clean, spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The complementary prosecco was also a lovely gesture. Our host and hostess offered us superb Scottish hospitality with their welcoming friendly and helpful manner. We rested in our clean room and comfortable bed after a long scenic drive from Fort William. It had easy parking and convenient location. We walked to the View in Oban for a Ceilidh Night (Scottish music and folk dancing). It was a fantastic evening for my granddaughter and me. An excellent, delicious, healthy breakfast was served and included in the price which was very reasonable. Would definitely stay here again.

A little bit from the train station, so it is quieter. Looking at the sea, sitting in the hotel to see the sea, blue sky and white clouds, very beautiful. The breakfast was good, and the smoked salmon was more delicious than the traditional English breakfast at other hotels. After breakfast, I walked by the beach and saw the rainbow. I walked all the way and saw the rainbow changing. It was a surprise. Going to Scotland, recommending to Auburn, to Auburn, recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for a stopover on a motorcycle trip. 2 x single occupancy rooms and a double. All rooms were very well presented and equipped. The name bunkhouse doesn’t fit as we were pleasantly surprised with the rooms and the communal facilities. The owner was very friendly and helpful giving us a tour of the facilities. Ideal base for the Highlands or for a single night stopover. I would definitely stay here again.

I think I’ve stayed in quite a few of the Oban hotels over the years. Sometimes on business, sometimes leisure. My main impression of the hotels were that were mainly very poor value for money. Some of the tariffs were ridiculous and the rooms were quite basic for the cost. So this time I stayed at the Premier Inn for the first time. Must be fairly new. Great value compared to other central hotels - probably about half the price to what I’ve paid previously. I thought there was no comparison. It’s central right beside the train station and ferry terminal, the rooms are big, clean comfortable and modern with a big wall mounted telly. In addition it has a great shower. The public area was nice and bright. I would have no hesitation in staying here again. Some guests might say it’s too modern but that’s exactly what wins it for me. If you want “character” you’ll pay double the price and your room might not be up to much. Just saying…,

The accomodation was beautiful and our room was amazing. Clean, spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The complementary prosecco was also a lovely gesture. Beautiful Victorian house with comfortable rooms and luxurious modern bathrooms. The room had charming decorations and a comfortable bed, and even included a floor-standing fan, which was a huge relief when the day we stayed turned out to be unusually warm. The owners were nice, friendly people. The location is great, just a little up the hill from the train station, ferry terminal, and city center of Oban, on a quiet residential street. Be warned that the rooms are all upstairs, so you will need to carry your luggage up. On the plus side, there is a cozy guest lounge upstairs with a great view over the bay.

From the moment we arrived on a wet and windy afternoon we were transported to total relaxation & amazing hospitality. We arrived hungry so had tea & sandwiches in the lounge beside a roaring log fire. Sandwiches were absolutely delicious (we chose prawn & blt). After dragging ourselves away from the log fire, we went upstairs to our bedroom which was lovely. Very nicely decorated with all the amenities you would expect. Penhaligon toiletries were a luxury treat. Dinner & Breakfast were tasty & sitting in the conservatory for a pre dinner drink was cosy (lovely wool blankets in a basket if you want a bit of extra heat) but the stars of the weekend for us were definitely the staff. They were exceptional. Very professional & efficient while still maintaining a friendliness. We were given a map of the island by staff & had a great walk looking for eagles, deer etc. (Wellingtons available at reception) We walked to otter point & were lucky enough to see otters playing in the water. Other wildlife stayed hidden. We had been to Isle of Eriska a few years ago & although lovely, we felt it looked a bit tired and in need of some decorating. It now looks superb. The new owners have clearly invested lots of money refurbishing the hotel and it definitely shows. Not at all surprised celebrities escape to this lovely hotel/island. Thank You Isle of Eriska for a lovely weekend. We will be back.

I think I’ve stayed in quite a few of the Oban hotels over the years. Sometimes on business, sometimes leisure. My main impression of the hotels were that were mainly very poor value for money. Some of the tariffs were ridiculous and the rooms were quite basic for the cost. So this time I stayed at the Premier Inn for the first time. Must be fairly new. Great value compared to other central hotels - probably about half the price to what I’ve paid previously. I thought there was no comparison. It’s central right beside the train station and ferry terminal, the rooms are big, clean comfortable and modern with a big wall mounted telly. In addition it has a great shower. The public area was nice and bright. I would have no hesitation in staying here again. Some guests might say it’s too modern but that’s exactly what wins it for me. If you want “character” you’ll pay double the price and your room might not be up to much. Just saying…,
