Muthu Oban Regent Hotel ★★★
"Great location, view of water, room was large clean & modern with tea coffee and sparkling and still water. Staff were efficient and friendly and were always happy and helpful. I would 100% recommend this hotel when staying in Oban ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
Glencruitten House ★★★★
"We are returning customers and once again a fantastic afternoon tea. Today we visited as a Mother’s Day treat. The food and service were both great. I can honestly say, the sausage rolls were up with the best I have ever tasted 😋, I would also highly recommend tasting the Turkish delight tea. What a beautiful setting to relax and be spoiled for an afternoon. Looking forward to our next visit to give the Sunday roast a go."
The Great Western Hotel ★★★
"Great location, central. Good value for money. Room comfortable small double. Did not have breakfast but can be added for £15 pp. Would recommend & will return here again"
Corran House Guest House ★★
"It's a nice room."
The Royal Hotel ★★★
"I really enjoyed my stay here. The bathroom was clean and I liked how it had a bath"
The Perle Oban Hotel & Spa ★★★★
"Excellent Hotel The location is great, the rooms are clean and nice and big. Breakfast was very good. The staff where pleasant and very helpful. The only moan is about The Brasserie We booked the Brasserie for my wife’s birthday meal on the Saturday evening, we both love seafood so we ordered Oysters to start, the waiter came back and said they hadn’t got any Oysters, I asked what seafood was available from the menu and he said they only had mussels. Very disappointed to say the least, considering Oban is the Seafood capital of Scotland. So we went to EE USK down the road and had a wonderful seafood meal, they had everything we asked for and wanted. for"
The Pier Rooms ★★
Don Muir Guesthouse ★★★
"Nicely presented guesthouse. Though it says no food the proprietor Caroline, kindly left some goodies and breakfast Muesli and flakes in the room which was a nice touch. 😁😁"
The Scot ★★★
"Location was convenient - a little off the busiest part of the town but still walkable especially to the pier and restaurants."

Isle of Eriska Hotel Spa & Island
"Environment ➕ Castle, awesome!"
Lochaline Hotel
Loch Melfort Hotel
"A stunning hotel with spacious rooms and excellent facilities. Despite it being winter, the views were breathtaking. The restaurant was particularly amazing; dinner was exceptional, and all the dishes were delicious. While it might not be on the most popular routes in the Highlands, I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Scottish Highlands. The views and food are perfect, and it offers excellent value for money."
Melfort House
"Why is it every time we visit Oban, there's a violent storm? We'd booked for two nights but on our day of travel Mathew phoned to advise all the roads were either flooded or blocked with landslips. We agreed to try travelling the following day, which we did - it was eventful and with many detours but got there. Mathew kept in touch throughout to check our progress too, giving us updates on road closures. When we arrived, we were greeted at the door and shown our room, which was huge and very well appointed. We asked for dinner each night and I must say, the food was of the highest standard ( and I've been to a lot of top tier hotels in my day). Mathew had also arranged at my request for prosecco, flowers and chocolates to be in our room to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Dinner was preceded with a complimentary glass of sherry and coffee was in the comfortable and well furnished drawing room. We sat at the large dining table with other guests for both dinner and breakfast, so it was great that we got to meet new people throughout our stay, all of whom were lovely and also intrepid travelers. All in all, Melfort House is a top notch hotel / B&B and definitely a cut above the rest, with fantastic hospitality, awesome food and yet quiet enough to relax in traditional comfort. Thank you ! "

Oban Bay Hotel
"Very good"
Ardtorna
"The service was terrible!"
Muthu Queens Hotel
"Nice hotel with clean rooms and very helpful staff with a little problem I had...the b breakfast could be improved slightly. Walking distance to the centre"
Dalrigh House
"A nicely maintained property with good views and accessibility to the town centre with its stunning views across the bay and surrounding areas."
Corriemar House
"I was surprised and disappointed that no one was at the property to greet us. We found by chance an envelope with our key in. The room was a good size with comfortable beds. We bumped into the host by chance who made it obvious she did not want to interact with us. No one there when we left. Just a basket to put the key into."
Knipoch House Hotel
The Old Cottage
"An excellent stay at the Old Cottage, the hosts Karen and Darren were extremely welcoming and very helpful. Our room called Islay had absolutely everything that was required plus a few extras such as chocolates. The Breakfast was outstanding and if you are lucky and have an early breakfast you may even see Red Squirrels through the patio window. A wonderful B&B experience."
Oban Youth Hostel
"This is a stunningly good youth hostel. We stayed in a family room and had comfy beds, warmth, a shower and toilet, and most importantly a huge window looking out at the sea and the bay. There are lovely hanging out rooms downstairs, with equally lovely views. And a great kitchen and dining area. The staff were so friendly and helpful too. A really great place to stay in Oban!"
Palace Hotel - Small Hotel
"The room overall was okay. I thought I booked for a queen bed but instead had room 14 with twins. My wife and I never slept apart except for trips and we pushed the beds together. Very hard to move. There were no instructions for how to use the European hot water device and had to take a cup bath.THE BAD part was the climb up the stairs 4 flights of stairs for room 14. Room 14 has great views but not worth the climb."
Falls of Lora Hotel
"Our second stay here and what a marked difference from our first stay. The rooms have been refurbished, new hallway carpets and an altogether better experience. Our room was clean and well laid out, amazing friendly staff and credit to the chefs the food was brilliant. I would have no hesitation in booking again. "
