Grace Hutchinson!”I’ve visited a few sea turtle conservation programmes before. Some are there to be photographed. Some are actually doing the work. This one is actually doing the work.
The staff know the current state of each nest and can estimate roughly when hatching will happen. During the release they don’t let visitors touch the turtles. At night they use red-light torches and ask guests not to use flashlights or camera flashes. That night, sixty-something hatchlings made their way toward the moonlight and into the sea. Two of them moved slower than the rest. That part stayed with me.
The tent sits right on that beach.
Shared bathrooms, a short walk away, not a problem in practice. The restaurant is just outside the glamping area, a little walk in the evening, but along the way one evening we saw someone propose on the beach with the sunset behind them. Quite something.”

Alma CMy husband and I celebrated our second year anniversary at Cauayan. We considered other resorts but we have definitely made the right choice. The island is just breathtaking! We were greeted with a warm welcome by the hotel staff and were escorted to our beautiful villa. My husband arranged a private tour of El Nido islands, where we ended up visiting about 7 spots with our guide even acting as our photographer (he took fantastic photos and videos too). In terms of food, the buffet breakfast offered a wide array of food selection. For lunch / dinner, we enjoyed all that we ordered (though some are really very spicy, so take note). The bar staff can concoct amazing drinks as per your mood & whim. I particularly enjoyed the spa and wished I booked a much longer massage. Our stay at the island became so much more meaningful when we witnessed hawksbill sea turtles being released to the ocean….As amazing as all these are, the best part of our stay in Cauayan is the friendly and customer focused staff. They prioritize the customers’ needs, always have a smile on their faces and have just made our stay in El Nido a memorable one. Thank you Cauayan and we will surely return for another amazing experience at your island!

Cute bungalows on a remote island. However, we had to wait for 1:40hr for our lunch, and the buffet which cost almost a 1000 pesos ran out of food and had very limited vegetarian options. Most of the ”community” vibe was greatly diminished due to about 20 people from a tour group that already knew each other showed up, which created a very segregated feeling. We also had some form of animal poop all over our bed, which the staff just tried to explain away as dirt from the roof. We had to convince them to give us a new room. Plus points for them helping out and arranging a transfer for the clothes we forgot on the island!

The hotel is well located and quiet. The room offers enough space, about 25m2. A terrible ”view” from the window onto a wall of the washroom/staff room is just awful.
The bathroom is unfortunately extremely small and has no storage space for a toiletry bag or washing utensils.
There is a clean and beautiful pool on the roof. From there you have a great view.
The breakfast is by no means appropriate for the high price of the rooms. There is practically no fruit selection, the ”juices” are chemical crap and hardly edible. No yogurt, no cheese, no freshly ground coffee (which you would expect at these prices), no bacon, no real bread, just the usual toast nonsense.

Guest UserA little slice of luxury. Amazing clean rooms and pool. We didn’t have hot water but it was sorted quickly! Scooter hire is expensive here (compared with outside) but necessary to get around. The hotel has a transfer bus but times are limited to morning and evening. Breakfast was great. Dinner was good (expensive compared with outside as understand in hotel). If you order the pork, it’s like a starter portion so bear in mind.

BINGFEINot so much a hotel as a bed and breakfast, do n’t expect too high ancillary facilities. I came out alone, but I can still accept it. The breakfast environment on the third floor is good, there are mountains and trees, it is a quiet village. Upstairs and the pier are relatively close, about 10 minutes walk.

The facilities are well-equipped, and the breakfast is delicious. The staff are friendly and incredibly attentive. Renting a scooter is budget-friendly and convenient. The island hopping tours (A, B, C, D) are offered at great prices. Getting to the city center by tricycle is easy. The closest beach is just 100 meters away, right behind the hotel. The beach behind McDonald's, about a kilometer in the opposite direction from the city center, is the most popular spot for watching the sunset.

KöppenNice Hotel with friendly Personal. We have a seaview room, the view is very nice… but many steps to climb. Rooms were big and clean, but you can hear the neighbor well. Breakfast was good but not many extensiv. For us the Hotel was good.

It was a truly pleasant stay with a variety of choices of breakfast each day, with a stunning view of the sea and hills. Lemuel is a star server, who never missed a step in service in any way. He was professional, warm, helpful, and goes the extra mile to check in that we are fine whenever he can. He looked out for all guests no matter how busy it got, and helped with taking photos for the crowds too. While some other staff may have been blur, his presence and service made everything exceptional. He even shared with us that the sunset view from the hotel should not be missed, and it was good we were back in time one of the days to enjoy the view from the hotel. Great stay.
