We had a truly enjoyable stay at The Cove Hillside in Ipoh. The unit is spacious and comfortable, making it perfect for families or groups who want a relaxing getaway. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, offering a peaceful atmosphere that’s great for unwinding and spending quality time together. We also appreciate how well-maintained the facilities are, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the amenities provided throughout the stay. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and taken care of. Overall, it was a very pleasant and refreshing experience, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm and relaxing stay in Ipoh.

A mountain-view room that purifies the soul. The air was fresh and humid after the rain. Swimming at the foot of the mountain was a great escape from the heat. Playful long-tailed macaques roam around. The security guards were also very friendly and helpful. Great value for money and a wonderful host – I accidentally left some personal belongings behind, and both the host and security guards promptly helped me communicate and retrieve them. Looking forward to enjoying life at The Cove again next time! ❤️⛰️

Pros: · Lobby is very beautiful and impressive · Hallway to the room is a bit dark, but the room itself is cozy and good for relaxing · Room gets cleaned every day, even though my room didn't have a ”clean room / DND” sign (a nice surprise) · Lift available, no need to carry luggage up stairs · Toothbrush provided Cons: · Lobby can get a bit smelly during raining Overall: A decent stay with good housekeeping effort and a cozy room. Just be aware of the dark hallway and occasional lobby smell on rainy days. Still worth considering for the price and comfort.

1) car park is a bit challenging to drive up in circle, at least not to high 2) Very new building, everything in the room is very clean, cosy. It has bath shower tub, baby cot. Just that if the group does not need the baby cot, can consider keeping it. As the room has some constrain. Shape of unit is long, with the baby cot, the room is a bit difficult for elderly to move. We let elderly have room with toilet.(main bed room) 3) nice view of Ipoh, easy to find unit. Never use facilities, so no comment on that. 4) Easy to find food nearby, short drive

It’s a house that they separated into one small unit (2 doublebed) and another big unit (one with a living room that we didn’t stay) I would stay for the location but if you value privacy, i wouldn’t recommend because the two units are separated by a makeshift door where you can see the other unit through the gaps and then hear other people talk. Then sharing one parking. They didnt have clear signage (the number fell off i presumed) But service is fast and helpful! (We had issues with the wifi because the other unit turn it off)

A great stay for my family. The unit is clean and spacious enough for us. 1 parking slot is provided and it is near the lobby. Check in was easy too. Owner was quick to response to my questions and requests. The kettle was malfunctioned and they give us another the next day despite it’s a weekend. My boy had so much fun at the playground and swimming pool. Will come again if there’s a chance.

Upon arrival the 2 contact details provided don't respond and it's really annoying and disappointing. 1 contact go into voicemail box and another will never pick up the call which somehow give you the impression of the host is not reliable(Attached conversation without reply) The property manager or agent that host these property really need to be more professional. The unit is full of new paintings and the smell cause lots of discomfort(Attached the toilet door with new paint) The bidet or sprinkler is broken and the water is scattered around and cause our clothes and toilet paper all wet!!!(Attached photo broken bidet) They don't install ventilation fan on the toilet and when you open the window for air circulation your neighbors could see you.Their intentions is very clear which is they don't bother the comfort of the guest(Attached photo of when open up the toilet window for ventilation the upper floor could see through hence no privacy while shower.You shower with window close and its felt suffocating after a while!!!) As Ipoh is famous for eateries to our surprise when we packed our supper home the utensils is really disappointing.The host barely provides you any plates and utensils.Maybe just 4 cups 4 plates as if anything extra will cause them a million dollars investment.You can't find extra waste plastic bags or toilet paper.They simply being too calculative and don't provide any extra even you are using it to keep their unit clean at least if you provide me with extra waste plastic bags we could pack our waste and keep it clean and hygiene instead. Each room only 2 towels for shower and no pools towel provided.Very inconsiderate!!! The worst part is they will sent you a check out instructions 6am in the morning to wake you up!!! If you having a peak booking on our check out date you may sent a reminder for checkout but please not at 6am in the morning !!! I think Trip.Com should check on your agent quality and set a minimum standards.The property host is really disappointed we don't have time to waste so we just put up with it and write a review after check out.

The property is a newly built bungalow just beside a hill and a temple. there are plenty of local foods around within a few minutes of walking distance. the check in check out is very simple, and the host and caretaker are friendly. since it's slightly further out from the city, the air is fresh especially so because we are beside one of the big hills. One downside: at night, there will be a low pitch humming, which I presume is the pump running for the water tanks. it didn't bother me, but soundproofing could be improved for the rooms. there's enough parking at the property or beside it for about 6-7 cars, so no issues there.

I had a generally pleasant stay at this homestay. The unit was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The location is also convenient, with easy access to nearby amenities. A special mention to the security guard downstairs, who was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the overall experience even better. However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. The water pressure in the shower was extremely low—so much so that it made showering quite difficult and uncomfortable. Additionally, for a two-bedroom unit, only one access card was provided. This was quite inconvenient, as the card is required not only to enter the unit but also to use the elevator, making it challenging for multiple guests to move around freely. Overall, while the stay was comfortable and enjoyable in many aspects, addressing these issues would greatly enhance the guest experience.
