We only stayed here during a long layover. It was a great location and only 30 minutes from the airport. Staff was super friendly. We originally got a smoking room but were able to change it with no problem. Breakfast was good with alot of choices. Staff spoke excellent English. Room large, temperature control didn’t work so well - but small problem for us since we were only there a short time.

My stay at the Kempinski Hotel Khan Palace Ulaanbaatar was fantastic! I stayed in a Deluxe King Room from November 11th to 18th, and it exceeded my expectations. Regarding hygiene and environment, the room was clean and tidy, the facilities were brand new, and the window offered an expansive view. The overall environment was quiet and comfortable. The staff were warm and attentive; check-in was efficient, and they paid close attention to details. The facilities were comprehensive, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The automatic sensor light in the bathroom was a thoughtful touch, as were the daily complimentary welcome fruits and six bottles of mineral water. Breakfast offered a rich variety, with a good balance of meat and vegetables, and the taste was excellent – great value for money. The location is superb, with specialty shops and restaurants right outside, making travel convenient. Overall, the hotel excels in hygiene, service, and facilities, making it an ideal choice for business travel. I highly recommend staying here.

Very good hotel! There is everything for a comfortable stay. Very good hotel location and service. We were provided with a taxi to the train station and also provided with breakfast, despite the fact that we checked out very early. We can recommend this hotel to everyone who plans to visit Ulaanbaatar.

The hotel is very clean, nicely decorated, and its location is great. Many city attractions are within walking distance. Breakfast was decent, and the views were excellent. However, I was a bit disappointed that the hotel had a separate breakfast area exclusively for Korean guests, and others weren't allowed in. I would have really liked to try it.

Great views and a clean hotel a bit away from the central square but recommended for breakfast and a Korean meal in the shopping center in the same building. Also Modern Nomads is a great local Mongolian bbq place

This hotel is located in an office building, occupying several floors. There's a convenience store and a coffee shop on the ground floor. Check-in was brilliant! The first at reception spoke some English and checked me in at 7.30 in the morning without a problem. My room was spacious, the bed was large, although on the hard side. At this point the good things about the hotel come to an end. Unfortunately, all the rest is quite bad. The lighting system is broken and you can't turn off the light above the bed unless you take out the key card, but then power outlets go off, so you can't sleep and charge your phone at the same time. Furniture knobs are falling apart, so does the knob on the shower. WiFi was down 2 times during my stay, including a very frustrating 12+ hour outage. Housekeeping doesn't seem to know what a Do Not Disturb sign means, entering the room regardless. Toiletries are the cheapest possible, not corresponding to the hotel name (e.g. Premium), lol. All in all, price/quality ratio was underwhelming. I will not stay here again.

DON’T BE TRICKED LIKE I WAS The listing says it is a 6 minute drive from Chinggis Khan airport, but it in fact is a 30 minute drive. It is very close to the OLD airport which is not in use anymore. They offer free airport pickup, but we stayed the night before our flight so we did not need pickup, we needed drop off. Even though we didn’t use the free pickup service, we still had to pay $25 USD for airport dropoff. I had emailed the property twice during the week leading up to our stay to ask about drop off service and never got a reply. Also, there is a lack of communication between the staff- When we arrived at the property we had to call 3 times before they finally came to meet us to get our bags, then there was confusion about what room we were supposed to get and we were taken to 3 different rooms before it was the right one. The second one we had already settled in and had a shower before they came and told us it was the wrong room. We didn’t have a car so we walked around the area to find food and there were little to no restaurants, and only a couple of very small markets, so we ended up having to order food from the property restaurant. Every room is different as we discovered from being taken to 3 different rooms. They are verrrry spacious but some are definitely in better condition than others. Fortunately our final room was the best, however there was a kitchen stocked with pots, pans, rice cooker, cook top, plates, but no silverware, no microwave, and no refrigerator. Why would you have a kitchen area and not have a refrigerator and silverware? There also was a washer in unit but no dryer. We didn’t have time to wait for our clothes to air dry during our one night stay so that was also useless. Overall, it was a cheap stay but you get what you pay for.

The bed can sleep five. The view from the window isn't great. Breakfast isn't exactly a choice, of course. Overall, it's fine for a couple of nights.

The room is very clean and well-equipped. The hotel is in a good location and the transportation is very convenient. The service staff are warm, thoughtful and very professional. Recommended!
