GGuest UserHeaven on earth! Absolutely spoiled every morning with breakfast on their rooftop overlooking the famous Ella Rock. Possibly the best bedroom view I’ve ever seen. We travelled in April which is notoriously muggy and hot, but the electric fans are very powerful and kept us nice and cool in the evenings, they even have a sleep setting on them!
Couldn’t have asked for much more. 5 min TukTuk to and from town (500sr or £1.50). Or a peaceful 10 minute walk.

GGuest UserLocation is very good.
It is within walking distance from the street with restaurants. There were supermarkets and laundry shops nearby, which was very convenient.
There are some slopes, but it is paved and there is no problem even on rainy days without red soil flowing.
However, since the alley is partially thin, it is necessary to be careful about entering and exiting by car.
The room was clean and the outside temperature was low.
The water pressure temperature of the shower was perfect and comfortable.
In amenities, I was able to spend no problem with shampoo, body soap and large bath towels.
I am very satisfied.
The tuk tuk to the nine arch was also responded immediately, and the price did not feel high.
It is a good middle class hotel.
JJimmysandwichesWe had a lovely stay at Ella Rawana Den Hotel in Ella. The location is excellent — just a short walk to town, making it very convenient for restaurants, cafes and exploring the area. One of the highlights was the beautiful balcony view overlooking the lush green hills. It was the perfect place to relax in the morning or evening.
The room was big, clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
However, it’s important for older guests or anyone with mobility issues to know that the hotel is located up a very steep hill. Cars and tuk-tuks cannot access the property directly, so you need to walk up, which can be challenging — especially with heavy luggage. Because of this, it may not be suitable for elderly or disabled travellers.
One small improvement would be for the hotel to provide a hairdryer in the rooms, as this would be very helpful for female guests.
Overall, a great stay with beautiful views and kind staff — just be prepared for the steep climb!
GGuillaumeView of the waterfall from the room, helpful staff, food is standard, very near the hotel taking the left at the exit kids (and parents too) loved the many fireflies there it was marvellous we went there three evenings in a row!
