Breakfast plentiful We had a very early departure and staff were up to help with bags and provide us with a packed breakfast for the journey! Restaurant is next door - connected to hotel but separate (you can’t add the meal to your room bill) Just note if staying at full moon no alcohol served. Very convenient location for walk to 9 arch bridge and little Adam’s peak and a 15-20 minute walk down to main part of town"

"This place is indeed a gem. An experience you must have to enjoy the planters life in the hill side of Sri Lanka. The bungalow comes with a talented cook who can do magic with cusine. From a simple black tea to a delicious dinner, the food experience is so satisfying. Fresh organic ingredients and the best vegetables and fruits full fills your taste buds. The manager, Mr. Gayan Vithanage is very attentive and a great host. The next day we went to hike the world's end and they were kind enough to pack us lunch. Such an amazing experience."

"What a fantastic location! This restored old colonial bungalow, with its beautiful landscaped garden, looks out over surrounding luscious hillsides in the heart of Sri Lanka's tea growing region. Although the hotel is isolated we found that the peace and tranquility it offered just added to its charm. We especially enjoyed eating our breakfast in the sunshine on the front patio accompanied by a chorus of birdsong. The single track approach road from the high road was very bumpy and we were relieved to be told by the hotel staff that they ensured only one vehicle was allowed along it at a time, to avoid two vehicles meeting each other from opposite directions! The staff were very keen to make our stay a pleasant one. The food was tasty and interesting and the room and the beds comfortable. The WiFi was patchy in our room, but we found that it was possible to get a reasonable connection from the living room – because it was closer to the router located in the hallway. The only other niggle we had was a lack of hot water on our first night, but after telling the staff about this the next morning it was quickly remedied."

"Our stay was absolutely delightful. From the moment we arrived, the staff, especially Imad and Luky at the reception, were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional! We opted for the half-board option, and Chef Paul truly outdid himself. Both breakfast and dinner were served à la carte, offering a dining experience comparable to a 7-star restaurant in Dubai. Ishfak, our waiter, was very welcoming and attentive. The weather was fantastic, the chalets were spotlessly clean, and the yoga classes, gym, swimming pool, basketball court were excellent additions to the experience. If you’re looking for an escape from your busy life, I highly recommend heading straight here from the airport and staying for a week. During our trip, we spent two nights in Kandy, two nights in Nuwara Eliya, and three nights at Anasa Resort. However, on our next visit, we’ll come directly to Anasa Resort. While Kandy and Nuwara Eliya offer a glimpse into Sri Lankan culture, skipping them and heading straight here provides a unique, serene experience. "If you’re looking for a peaceful and tranquil stay then Moi Ella is the place! We had such a lovely & relaxing stay here. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive, we were greeted with some tea and delicious coconut pancake on arrival which was just what we needed after a long drive. The breakfast and dinner was also amazing. The hotel offers 360 views of the beautiful hills and mountains of Ella, and you can even head up to the top floor to catch sunrise - we did this one morning and it was absolutely breathtaking!! If you’re looking to stay in/near Ella then you might want to find somewhere closer to the town as this hotel is about a 30 minute drive out of town so you’ll need transport. We didn’t mind though as we loved how peaceful and secluded the hotel was :)"

"We had the most wonderful stay at Living Heritage Koslanda. The staff were amazing, the food was delicious and the setting was perfect. We stayed in Jungle Pavillion so there was a frog or two but the birdsong was delightful and it was very romantic! We had a super guide, Karun, who guided us to the top of the Diyalima Waterfall which was spectacular. He took us to the best parts and there were very few people around. It is remote but the swimming pool was gorgeous and just being there made us happy. As did a couple of massages by the résident masseurs. It has been a high point of our trip. Thank you!"

The views were absolutely breathtaking, with stunning mountain scenery that could be enjoyed from our room, the swimming pool and the restaurant. Being situated a short distance away from Ella town made it even more special, offering a peaceful and tranquil setting away from the crowds. A special mention goes to our host, Nisal, who was outstanding. He ensured we were well looked after to make our visit comfortable and memorable. "The hotel is nestled in the mountains, with a beautiful environment and a large terrace. The owners are a very kind couple, and the breakfast is plentiful, with delicious black tea. There are many photo opportunities around the hotel; I even captured the starry sky, the Milky Way, and fireflies from the terrace. It's incredibly good value for money and highly recommended."

"The hotel has problems!!! We were allegedly upgraded to a superior room. It was nice but I’m not sure what was superior about it. Water ran very slowly and the air conditioning kept tripping the electrics every 15 minutes. (Literally 3 times in 45 minutes when we got back from dinner and that doesn’t take into account the 4 or 5 times it tripped before we went out). When I complained the staff were very helpful and moved us to a room on the second story where we stayed for 2 nights. The door to this room was very badly warped but did lock. The water ran even slower than the first room but we managed a shower (just). The bath wasn’t attached to the wall and did not have an end panel. I’m not sure you could use the bath, we didn’t try! The windows were badly warped but the worst part was a floor to ceiling window that couldn’t be secured shut. If someone leant on it whilst brushing their teeth they would literally have plummeted 2 stories to the ground. I mentioned this to the hotel who said the room wasn’t finished!! Breakfast was good, service good, staff friendly, location quite far out of town. The hotel did say we may have problems with TukTuks and gave us the number of someone that worked well. Of the 6 hotels we have stayed in Sri Lanka this was by far the worst and we were pleased to leave."

"We stayed for 1 night. Very friendly staffs. The hotel doesnt have elevator but the staff helped to bring our luggage up. We even borrowed their umbrella to walk around the town when it was raining. Asif is very attentive and friendly staff who managed our stay including breakfast preparation for us. The only minus point is the swimming pool water is a bit murky."

"Beautiful home with a stunning view. Close to town. The staff was wonderful, so kind and accommodating, plus the Sri Lankan food they cooked was delicious. All the rooms had king sized beds which makes room assignments easy when traveling with a big group. The upstairs rooms are a bit bigger. The hot tub was a fun bonus! The house was clean and comfortable. There is also a cute cafe, Cinnamon Bliss, just down the street if you want to take a short walk for your morning coffee. Overall we had a wonderful stay and experience. Definitely recommend!"
