Ella Ridge View ★★★
"The scenery is nice and it's very quiet."
Ella Flower Garden Resort ★★★★
"The breakfast buffet was quite luxurious. Walking to Little Adam's Peak and Nine Arches was wonderful. That said, having millipedes in the shower was not good."
Olive Bungalow - Jetwing Select ★★★
"We chose jetting Welimada from Google maps as we wanted to stay at a tea plantation, it exceeded all our wishes. We were met by Shiva the butler who. Was at our elbows every inch of our stay, wanting grant our every wish more like a genie. The bungalow situated about 400 yards from the main house was immaculate, well equipped with its own kitchen. Bring your own beer there is a liquor shop on the corner as you turn off the main road and commence the climb. Well signed and we were driving our own Tuk Tuk. A place to sit, read, contemplate and practice your meditation and yoga. The only noise is from the chorus of birds overhead. If the shower is cold there is a switch on the wall to operate the heater, I found it after my first cold shower🥶The chef cooks to order often too much but he and Shiva are a delightful working duo. I would recommend 100%"
Jetwing Hoffmann Bungalow ★★★★
"My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at the bungalow. This place has 5 stars services! The chef is amazing and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff is really friendly and take such a good care of you. In addition the tea property is beautiful, it is a little paradise. Thank you again for the lovely stay!"
Moi Ella by DBI ★★★★
"The hotel is situated at a distance of 14 Kms from the Elle Railway station. After eight hours in the train it looked quite a long journey to us. The hotel is in middle of a very very dense forest and there is hardly anything around it. The room was too basic for our comfort. The hotel reception manager Mr Sahiru is a very helpful person. We were told that since there are very few guests we have to choose from a set menu, one starter, one main meal and one dessert. It was getting late still I requested Mr Sahiru if they can make food of our choice without altering the quality. He called up chef and it was arrange. The food served was quite tasty and quantity was too plateful. The view of the forest from the top is just amazing but the top most platform to step up is quite risky. The steps are very high, it must be addressed. The mesmerising view is able to connect with the nature. However, we decided to cut short our visit by one day and head to Weligama by paying extra money to them. Since we were leaving early the next day our meal plan of breakfast and dinner was converted in Breakfast and lunch. Again the food was great and chef and staff were very very polite and helpful. Actually the manager felt bad that we are leaving early and offered us to change the room but we politely told them it is not about the room, it is about the isolated location and we can’t do anything in two days. They have a superb swimming pool which we saw the next day kids were enjoying a lot. If you are looking for an absolutely quiet place to spend your stay and you don’t care about staying with luxury you must stay at this place. In the end our gracious thanks to Eranda, Ishaan, Sahiru, and Manjula, at Moi Ella. You were all wonderful people but somehow we were looking for something else. Your Sri Lankan cuisine was out of the world and we loved it. A comment for visitors, all the websites will tell you to visit 9 Arches bridge in Elle but you must note that it is quite a steep and long walk from the road. You can take take a Tuktuk from the road but it will still leave you almost one and half kilometres of very steep downwards and upwards climb. My wife could not do it but went but it was quite a huffing and puffing while coming up. You might decide to go tere depending on how fit you are. As compared to many pictures there is no train ever passing through the nine arches track. Rather there are hundreds of youngsters sitting all over taking selfies."
Ella, Nine Arch Holiday Resort ★★★
"good for relaxing and peace of mind"
Melheim Resort & Spa Haputale - An Infinite Escape into the Paradise ★★★★
"Great place on top of the mountain. food is excellent, service is better"
Misty Elegance - Ella. ★★★

"Me and my friends had a lovely time at Mapakada and enjoyed every second of it. We especially loved the kayaking and having breakfast on the boat was such a unique experience. The staff were friendly and their hospitality was truly exceptional."

Jetwing Warwick Gardens, A Luxury Reserve
"Fantastic place, with a very friendly staff and the cozy atmosphere of an old colonial house."
The Capoe House
"Stunning stunning stunning! This place must be an incredibly well kept secret, we felt SO lucky to stay here. We had the whole villa to ourselves, it was like being at a beautiful home. So private, so much room, incredible decor. Eranda was our resident manager, and could not have been more kind and communicative. He was dealing with something, yet consistently checked in with us, all smiles and kindness, just a wonderful, lovely host. The butler service was amazing, and we could not have been more grateful. Best new years in Sri Lanka. You are lucky if you get to stay here, it's magical!!!"
Thotalagala
"Beautiful setting with amazing views, the rooms were lovely and big and we had a great tea plantation tour, worthwhile staying there, rooms need a little bit more attention on the cleaning"
Andriyala
"We had a lovely stay in the 130 year old mansion. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Great food. Pool area could use a bit of attention."
Aloft Grand Hotel Ella
"Our group of 5 stopped for a quick coffee and to shared a couple of cup cakes. Coffees were good and cakes were fresh and tasty. We were served by Nethmi who was helpful and responsive. This restaurant appears to be newly built and some minor works need to be completed. Bathroom facilities were clean. There was great parking available."
Villa Lé Maas Tota by 98 Acres
Clio Ella Resort
"We stayed at Clio Ella Jungle Resort for 2 nights from 10th to 12th February, booking 3 rooms for our family getaway. First of all, I would like to give a special shout-out to Mr. Perera, who took great care of us during our stay. He was attentive, helpful, and very professional throughout. The rest of the ground staff were also very friendly and genuinely tried their best to assist us and apologize whenever issues arose. The location is absolutely fabulous, right next to the river, offering a peaceful jungle atmosphere. The food was delicious, and we truly enjoyed the meals during our stay. However, there were very disappointing experiences that must be mentioned. The most unacceptable incident was related to hygiene. On the first night, rats entered my sister’s room. One even came onto the bed in the middle of the night while they were sleeping. This was a shocking and extremely unpleasant situation. Sadly, on the following night, I experienced the same issue in my own room. There were rats running on the window curtains, and I had to call the housekeeping team in the middle of the night while my baby boy was sleeping. Both nights, we did not get proper sleep due to this unhygienic situation. This is something no guest should ever have to experience. While the ground staff tried very hard to handle the situation and sincerely apologized to us, I was quite surprised that the management did not take stronger action or responsibility regarding such a serious matter. I work closely with hotels on a daily basis and have stayed in many properties, but this was the first time I experienced rats running inside a guest room. It was very embarrassing for me, especially in front of my family, as I was the one who arranged this stay for them. I strongly believe the management should take urgent action to resolve this issue and ensure proper hygiene standards are maintained. Guests deserve a safe, clean, and comfortable environment."
98 Acres Resort & Spa
"Excellent area n atmosphere! Good food. Relaxing n enjoyable!"
Anasa Wellness Resort
"Beautiful place very serene and the staff really go out of their way to attend to yoru requests. We stayed in the family chalet. Hassan was amazing and so was lahiru they tried very hard and were super attentive . Great dining experinec check in and the guy at the spa/gym were always so friendly. Nice size gym, tennis court squash courts, basketball and badminton. Great well looked after facilities. Half board was good, beef was amazing. And so was beef salad. Breakfast was tasty and ala carte, but Great variety of local and western. They have free driver accommodation. All in all heavenly experience. Only comment to make is lights go off due to generator but it's for 5 seconds, so just sharing for information purposes. Also there are 2 roads leading in. 1 is not a good road and the other is perfectly fine so make sure to choose correct route. "
Wishing Tree Boutique Resort Haputale
The Cubes Ella
"Very Cozy place with friendly and helpful staff Breakfast with amazing view"
Olympus Plaza Hotel
"It's a very budget hotel, you've got go up and down a number of flights of stairs to get to your room. There is a lift but only on one side of the hotel, The view side, no lift. That view is really good, even mist rolls in from time to time. Downside. the road to walk to town is pretty dangerous as tuk tuks, buses and cars don't really look out for pedestrians. Some of them even park where pedestrians walk. The food also was pretty average. There isn't much to do in the nearby town. Laundry is charged per item."
Suriya Haven Homestay
"Recommending if u wanna stay here, good service, good quality :)"
Top Mountain Resort
"Top Mountain Hotel exceeded all our expectations. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well equipped. The garden is stunning and adds a calm, refreshing atmosphere to the hotel. Every meal we had was flavorful and prepared with care. The staff were extremely polite, attentive, and always ready to help. A truly wonderful experience!"
