If this is old school hospitality, I'm so glad to have experienced it. The room was spotless, even the bathroom, despite having yellowed a little from age (it was built ~20 years ago, according to newspaper clippings about the owners on the 2nd floor!). The hosts are very welcoming and their hospitality is excellent - for the first time I had face soap, makeup remover and an actual scrunchie provided for me in a guest house. Even the TV can be turned for you to watch from the bed or beside it at the table. There are private onsen facilities on site for free (just gotta pay the legal tax required). The interior looks like old fashioned British houses but with tons of dolphin themed decorations (that the owners like presumably :)) The house is a 20min walk from Futo Station, but the path is very walkable and it also means the place is very serene and peaceful at night. I'd love to go back there.

I had a fantastic experience at Forest Glaming! The staff, including Mr. Terada & the cool dude with long hair, were not only incredibly friendly but also made an effort to communicate with me in English and encouraged my attempts at speaking Japanese. Despite missing the shuttle bus, Mr. Terada kindly came to pick me up. The resort is a serene haven, offering tranquility and the cleanest toilets I've ever encountered. ✨Being tented near the shower and toilet facilities was an added bonus. 😮💨The food was outstanding, especially the aged domestic beef 🍖 BBQ. The only disappointment was not having the chance to share the wonderful dinner with the staff. I totally recommend Forest Glaming to anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape with exceptional service and facilities. The staff's warmth and willingness to engage in different languages truly enhanced my stay. Fantabulous!!! 😍🥰

Service: 1. The Japanese gentleman running the place is incredibly welcoming. Besides Japanese, he also speaks English and a little Chinese. 2. My Japanese is only N3 level, so the owner was very patient, speaking slowly to make sure I understood. 3. The hotel offers free pick-up and drop-off service from the station. Since there's only one convenience store and supermarket between Izu Kogen and Jōgasaki Coast, the owner also organizes trips for guests who need to buy daily necessities. 4. If you want to visit tourist spots, you can also tell the owner, and he'll help drive you if he's available. Environment: The room was very clean, and even on a cloudy day, there was no damp smell. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied.

Facilities: The room is large, the high ceiling is equipped with large viewing windows and wooden buildings. It has a sense of story in the forest cabin; the bed is a bit narrow, maybe about one meter, it is not difficult to sleep; the bathroom and toilet are normal in Japan, very good. The biggest drawback is that there is no wifi signal in the room, the door barrier is too big to use, the traffic can be used, and the signal outside the room is very good. Hygienic: very clean, the smell of fragrant lotion. Environment: Very good, located on the mountain, surrounded by woods. The boss's house on the first floor made a restaurant, bar (there are non-alcoholic drinks and water), and there seems to be a bath, because the boss and his wife are too social, the male boss said ”you can also use the bathroom on the first floor, do you need to use it?” When I was firm and no longer going downstairs, I didn't pay attention to it. The boss is actually their puppy, maybe a chihuahua? I also met a middle-aged couple who brought Qiu Akita. The homestay is also friendly and afraid of dogs staying cautiously; The puppy was quiet around 9 o'clock in the evening, but I woke up at 7 o'clock that morning and started barking not long after. The dog was not a person and would not be very sensible, which might affect sleep. Service: Very in place, two people are very patient people; breakfast is eight o'clock, you can communicate to change time, very delicious; if there is food that you don't eat, you should also say that the carrot and onion in the soup are quite many people do not eat; The hotel provides a station pick-up service. The Sakurazaka branch is nestled in the tranquil villa resort area of Izu Kogen, a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of city centers. It feels more like a place where you can temporarily step away from your daily routine. Mornings are greeted with the cool mountain air and birdsong, while afternoons bring sunlight filtering through the trees and a slow passage of time. In spring, you can watch cherry blossoms drift in the breeze, and in summer, listen to cicadas echoing along the forest paths. Scattered along the way are charming shops, cafes, and gardens with a distinct Showa-era charm, flanked by quietly growing flowers and trees. People come here not for the sake of 'checking off a list,' but to briefly step away from the city's pace, put down their phones and work, and let time slow down amidst hot springs, nature, and tranquility. The charm of Izu Kogen isn't in its grandeur, but in its preservation of a sense of life that is increasingly rare today. It's perfect for zoning out, taking a leisurely stroll, reading, or soaking in the hot springs, and also ideal for spending a few quiet days with someone special. This is my most genuine feeling.

This hotel is very pleasantly surprised, the space is large, the environment in the town is very good, very quiet. The hotel provides a private hot spring. After a day of tired relaxation, it is really comfortable to soak in a hot spring. Toiletries are also very good. And the hotel also has an observation deck to see the seaside and you can see Dashi Mountain. This hotel is really very, very good, great. 

It is locate in the hill, takes about 10min to drive up or down to the nearest 7 11. Check in was easy. Onsen facility is great. Perfect for a couple trip. Kitchen is great, we drove to supermarket that is like 20min away for some grocery to cook at home. Very relax area.

Izu One Club stood quietly in the mountains. The exterior had a Western-style feel, and the reception area was decorated with motorcycles and nostalgic figurines displayed in glass cases. It felt like a place overflowing with personal touches. They meticulously checked out the entire building, including my room, which was a Japanese-style room just like the pictures I'd seen. It had the bare minimum – a TV, table, futon, kettle – a simple space, but somehow it evoked a sense of nostalgia. The only thing I would mention is that, perhaps because of the time of year I stayed (late March) or because it's in the mountains, it was a little chilly. Personally, I didn't mind, but some people might need a jacket. And then there's the bath. I didn't use the bathtub, but the shower was sufficient… however, perhaps because I took a shower in the morning, the water didn't heat up quickly… there was a stove in the changing area, which was nice and warm. On my way out, I stopped by a large common room-like area with a spectacular view of the sea – it was beautiful. I thought it would have been even more beautiful if it had been sunnier (the photo was taken from the room in that space). This time I stayed there urgently for a one-day business trip, but it was a pretty nice room, and I might stay there again if I have the chance. However, please note that a car is essential to get there. There are no convenience stores nearby either, so I recommend eating before you stay.

The structure seems to be a legacy of the bubble era. The luxurious layout allows you to move between the main building and each building via pedestrians. It's reminiscent of the 5-star hotels of Phuket and Bali of the past. The all-inclusive plan also feels like good value. Unfortunately, however, maintenance of the interior and exterior has not kept up, and various parts are badly deteriorated. The bathhouse is also made of good granite, so it should be polished properly. The exterior walls are so black that you want to use a Karcher cleaner. I wish it was a little cleaner.

The tent under the Dashi Mountain, the bathroom, bathroom and shower are not far from the outdoor area. There is also a barbecue shed outside the tent, which can be closed by pulling the windscreen. Suitable for a family to experience the campground. The hotel's breakfast and dinner must be reserved in advance, no reservation, no food, only instant noodles... The hotel is at the foot of Dashi Mountain, and there is a convenience store for 3 kilometers. It is suitable for self-driving. We arrived late, took a taxi up the mountain and took a taxi down the mountain, which was very uneconomical. It is recommended to travel by car after April.
