The front desk area (decor-wise) felt more like a guesthouse, and I felt a bit disheartened during check-in (especially since I had initially planned to stay at Holiday Inn, and the weekday price difference wasn't significant). The sitting area is by the window, while the bed is in the middle of the room. The two areas aren't light-separated, so if someone needs darkness to sleep, the other person would have to stay in the bathroom if they're still awake. I tried calling the front desk multiple times, but no one answered! But then again: Once the call connected, they were very quick to deliver items. They even offer late-night snacks at 9 PM (either Guogai Noodles or Tremella soup). A small bowl of Tremella soup, wrapped in cling film, was delivered and tasted quite good.
