The guesthouse is located inside the Hakka Cultural Square, in a nice environment. It's right next to the scenic area, bustling with people. Behind it is a river, and along the riverbank is a large grove of pomelo trees. Meizhou is famous for its Shatang pomelos, so this place is called Pomelo Isle! Changsha has Orange Isle, and this is Pomelo Isle. It feels a bit like a poor imitation! We booked a five-room guesthouse as a group of friends and family, thinking that at least there would be a living room where everyone could sit and chat over tea. However, I didn't check the facilities carefully and assumed they were there. Another guesthouse looked better in the pictures, and since the price was the same, I assumed the layout would be similar. But upon arrival, I realized there was a significant difference! The customer service was excellent. We arrived around noon, before check-in time, and they arranged for us to have tea at a large tea table in the back garden. It was almost 2 PM when they finally cleaned up and let us in. The rooms are on either side of the building, and the bathroom is in the middle of the corridor – four people share one bathroom. This was a bit inconvenient. Everything else was fine! The breakfast was also good! Overall, it's worth a try!

The homestay in the village is integrated with nature. There are many tourist spots nearby. We stayed for three nights and traveled slowly. We were arranged to stay in an ancient building with a history of more than 100 years. This building was formerly a school. The rooms are decorated in Chinese style in the Republic of China, which is comfortable and practical. The store manager also arranged dining and travel suggestions for us. Thank you very much! The dog Wangcai is very enthusiastic and accompanies us when going out and eating. It feels like home.

This was my first time staying at this hotel in my hometown, and even though I felt the price was a bit high, after one day, I can say it was absolutely worth every penny! It was even an unexpected surprise! From the high-quality service provided by the front desk and concierge to the abundant water activities, hot springs, breakfast, afternoon tea, and the overall environment, everything was impeccable – truly a five-star experience. Even on a weekday, the occupancy rate was quite high, and the cheerful laughter of children and the harmonious atmosphere of families filled the environment with vitality and joy. Highly recommended and a definite thumbs up! 👍

Wonderful stay at Jingwan Hotel, Songkou. I had a fantastic experience staying at Jingwan Hotel, conveniently located near Songkou Ancient Town, a charming historic area known for its peaceful atmosphere and cultural heritage. The room was very spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was especially comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. What truly made this hotel stand out, however, was the exceptional customer service. I received tremendous help from Xiao Zhu, who went above and beyond to make my stay smooth and enjoyable. She guided me on how to get to the hotel, recommended places to visit and eat, and patiently communicated with me through WeChat despite the language barrier. Her kindness didn’t stop there—she even gave me a ride to the bus station on her bike, which I deeply appreciated. I highly recommend Jingwan Hotel to anyone visiting Songkou. The warm hospitality alone makes it worth the stay!

Hotel is very recently renovated April2026. Everything is in tip top condition. Very basic but everything is brand new. Impossible to complain about.

This hot spring hotel has a unique hot mineral mud spring, and I went there with the intention of trying it out. The accommodations are in a villa with several rooms per floor, which are occupied by different guests. Electric cars are provided for transportation. Two steaming springs can be seen within the park. Entering the hot spring area from the hotel lobby, I first tried the hot mineral mud, but it was slippery and had a slightly earthy smell that I wasn't used to. The hot spring area also includes a swimming pool, a children's play area, a waterfall hot spring, and a medicinal pool. The water temperature is quite high. There's a restaurant at the entrance to the park. The salt-baked chicken, stuffed tofu, and squab are all delicious and reasonably priced. Overall, it's a good experience.

We took the kids out for a walk on Sunday. It's an hour and a half from Jieyang. The first thing we noticed when we arrived at the mountain was how incredibly fresh the air was. As soon as we parked and got our luggage, a staff member saw us and directed us to the check-in area. The receptionist was also very kind and helpful. In the afternoon, we took a stroll up the mountain. There are sightseeing buses on the mountain, and you can call them to pick you up when you come down, but we walked down on our own. We had dinner at the restaurant. After dinner, as we were heading back to our room, we saw a sign for a children's playground. We asked a staff member, and they said there was one, and then they led us there. It was very thoughtful. The hotel also has a gym and a swimming pool. We'd probably stay here a few more times in the summer. Our room has a direct view of the sunrise. We set an alarm and woke up early. At 6:30 am, it was just getting light, and there was already a lot of mist. The sunrise combined with the mist was absolutely stunning! Because we had to go to work, we left after breakfast, but my son was very reluctant to leave. We'll definitely come back next time!

The room is in the town, with a villa architectural design. The roof is tiled on the 5th floor. The hygiene is OK, but it smells a bit musty. It may be because there are many wooden furniture in the room. The ventilation is not timely and it is a bit damp. It may be because the guests who stayed all day just checked out. It can be seen that the details of management are not detailed. The staff who clean the room should be required to ventilate the room after cleaning it, and spray it with aromatherapy. It is recommended to add a disposable shaver or razor instead of some bagged coffee, and it is better to add one or two bags (the cover can be advertised); it is recommended that tourists living in the town must check in before 9 pm, otherwise you can't see the performance inside! Overall, the experience is still very good, especially the ticket to the town is free, otherwise it is not worth the room price!

It's an old-style hotel, but the rooms are spacious and have basic facilities. It's pretty good in the small town of Dabu. The location is in the center of the county, convenient for travel and dining. The Hakka Tulou attraction is nearby. After visiting several Tulou in Tai Po, staying in a hotel for one night costs more than 100 yuan, which is very cost-effective.
