GGuest UserRoom - my room faces the magnificent Guan Zhai Shan. Every morning wakes up to a scenic view of lush greenery and mountain
Location - near to the Guan Zhai Shan entrance. We took a DiDi taxi there which costs about Rmb12. The hotel is also near to the city which is less than 10 mins by DiDi taxi
Service - attentive and respectful services at the front desk
Hotel amenities - new and luxurious with a nice swimming pool and spacious lobby
Atmosphere- very relaxing, spacious and enjoyable feeling
Breakfast- last a good variety. Quality of food is generally ok
Restaurant - serves delicious Hakka food
Overall we had a very enjoyable experience

LLulukanshijie❄️hayaxue❄️I hitched a ride from Yunshuiyao Scenic Area and found it much quieter. I originally planned to stay one day, but because of the beautiful scenery, I stayed an extra day 🤭. I went to the Tulou King first, and then to the Tulou Prince Scenic Area. The guesthouse was cozy and clean, and the owners were very welcoming. Superb! I came alone this time, but I will definitely bring my family next time. Since I hadn't finished exploring the scenic area, the owner thoughtfully carried my luggage to the security booth at the exit. Then I explored at my own pace. There are buses to Longyan and Yongding just 50 meters across from the scenic area entrance. The owner even checked the times in advance so I wouldn't miss my bus. Nice, warm, and clean. I hope the owner's business prospers! Here are some bonus tips for independent travelers:
1. Yunshuiyao felt more crowded and had a stronger commercial atmosphere. I first visited Yongding Tulou King, located a bit higher up on the mountainside, because there weren't many other buildings around. So I went to the Prince Tulou Scenic Area, which is a bit lower down and felt quieter; I personally preferred it there.
2. There are individual electric carts for rent and sightseeing buses for purchase within the scenic area, which are convenient for leisurely exploration.
3. There's a morning market stalls within the scenic area; early risers should check it out. I highly recommend the passion fruit stall across the river from Yangji Winery. Auntie's fruit, small ones weighing 3 jin and large ones 5 jin, is super delicious! I hope she becomes popular and her business improves, but I also hope she doesn't raise prices after she becomes famous 🤭
4. The food and grocery stores in the village and scenic area close relatively early. For a night owl like me, it feels like there are hardly any shops open after 10 PM, and I can't buy anything. So everyone should definitely prepare some snacks in advance, just in case haha
5. The scenery here is amazing, and the guesthouse is very clean. Pictures are attached. I hope this helps those who need it. It seems that after September, there will be round-trip buses from Meizhou, Guangdong to Yongding from Yongding Bus Station. It would be more convenient if friends from Guangdong came to visit, hehe 😁 Lastly, I wish the owner great success in business, and I'll come again next time 👋

Some people have a bad heart, and when everyone is working hard, this kind of mood is cheap, such as deliberately bad reviews, smoking and correcting, and so on. Non-smoking is a national regulation and an international norm. It is a knowing crime to enter the elevator and enter the hotel with smoke.

SShanshan·The wisest decision I made on this trip to Changting was choosing the Song Ci Hangzhan Hotel! As a four-star hotel, it perfectly blends historical charm, a superb location, and modern comfort, making for a fantastic stay.
A hotel in the heart of the ancient city! The windows offer views of the Tingjiang River, and it's super convenient to walk to Jichuan Gate and Shuidong Street. The modern Chinese-style rooms are clean and smartly equipped, the bedding is so comfortable I didn't want to get out of bed, and the front desk even provided helpful travel tips. Parking is reimbursed for those driving, making it incredibly cost-effective. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Changting!

Environment: The hotel is close to the scenic area and in the center of the ancient city. Everything is within a 10-minute walk, which is very convenient.
Facilities: The guesthouse facilities are just average, but the owner arranges parking—unlimited parking is a pleasant surprise, especially considering the congested city area!

YYouyayoumomoyuThe entire square Tulou building, Chaoyang Tower, has been transformed into a guesthouse. It retains many of its mottled walls, giving it a strong sense of history and rustic charm. The wooden stairs, hallway floorboards, and wooden doors all creak, which the kids found quite fun. It's truly pleasant to quietly listen to the birds, admire the distant mountains, and sip tea here.
We visited during Chinese New Year, and generally felt the festive cheer was a bit lacking. For example, the front desk didn't have any New Year's candies or similar treats (which, of course, isn't a requirement). The spring couplets by the entrance had also fallen off, and the ground floor was mostly deserted, feeling very quiet and lonely.
Breakfast was served at a different guesthouse, 'Duli', and it was absolutely delicious!
The room design had some inconveniences. The countertop next to the sink was quite low, making it uncomfortable to stoop down for makeup or other activities. Hanging space for clothes was limited, and the hanging rod felt a bit shaky, so we were hesitant to put too many items on it. In the duplex room, it got quite cold at night. While the upper level had air conditioning, the lower level did not, with only a heater in the bathroom. The shower water pressure was extremely low, and the storage water heater couldn't sustain hot water for long, leading to a very poor overall showering experience.
I'd recommend visiting on a weekday, as the prices are better value. It's acceptable for a short stay, but for a longer trip, I wouldn't advise it for anyone who enjoys taking proper showers.

LljpcEnjoyed our 3 nights stay in this family run hotel just next to the Tulou. Had a nice river/mountain facing well equipped room with projector TV, wireless charging side table and v.comfy beds. Boss and his 2 nephews were most hospitable and offered their utmost assistance to us. . Everyone were super friendly and sociable. Hakka food is pretty good at the hotel and they do BBQs during the summer months outside at their patio , great to chill & socialise with the locals over a drink or 2 . They even had fireworks. Highly recommend to take the hotel package inclusive of the tulou night show plus a hotel set dinner.

GGuest UserThis time I stayed at the Tujiawan Hotel. The room was clean and tidy. The quilt cover and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was large and the hot bath was bigger than mine. I expected and the Hakka dishes in the restaurant next door were also delicious. The front desk sister Jiang is also very hospitable and talkative. In fact, this time from Malaysia to Yongding is to find roots. After talking to her, she was very happy to introduce me to the tour guide. After the tour guide took me to a lot of earth buildings, I found the ancestors by the way. In the evening, I returned to the hotel and met my sister at the front desk. We talked again before getting off work. She knew my hometown and was very happy to help me. I said that there were relatives who could help me find my hometown relatives. After about an hour, I received her good news, saying that there are relatives there. I will have people from my hometown to meet later. I am so excited and excited to receive her news. I really have a grateful heart. Thank you for her so enthusiastic help. Otherwise, I will not find my hometown to find my roots smoothly. This trip is awesome. Thanks again to sister Jiang Jingqing! LLanmao6321The inn is located on the main road 30 meters away from the entrance of the scenic area and is easy to find. It is a small inn with spacious and bright rooms, clean and tidy beds, and complete bathroom facilities. There is a large earth building opposite the entrance of the inn. It is very beautiful, especially at night. When the lights are turned on, it is very beautiful. There are performances in the earth building at night. I was lucky enough to see the fireworks. I was very happy. The boss is very enthusiastic and warm. They also have catering services in their store. I stayed at his house for a day and had three meals there. The food was delicious and it felt like home.
This inn has convenient transportation, is economical, and has thoughtful service. It is trustworthy and deserves a five-star rating!
