"I had such an amazing time staying here! The staff were so kind and I went the extra mile to make sure we had an amazing experience. The food was so good and the chef even made sure to accommodate me being gluten free! Would recommend to anyone staying in Maasai Mara!"

Entumoto Safari Camp

Entumoto Safari Camp ★★★

📍 Siana Conservancy Masai Mara Reserve, Siana

"Just returned from Kenya and the highlight of our trip was the stay at Entumoto. Because it was our first safari and first trip to Africa, we were not sure what to expect. At the end, when we left, it felt like leaving family. The setting is lush and beautiful located above the savannah but still surrounded by nature. The staff will endeavor to create the type of experience that you want, whether that is full day safaris with picnic lunches, sundowners, or visits to local market or Masai villages or both. Your experience will be highly personal to you! The accommodations are beautiful both rustic and elegant. What makes the experience most memorable however is the people. Our guide David made sure we saw a variety of animals, was very caring and very open about his life as a Masai. We also were very impressed that the camp is devoted to the nearby community by contributing to schools and educational opportunities and caring for the community. The land surrounding Entumoto is a conservancy which has just as many animals (or more) than the national park but without the crowds. We ate lunch with elephants, zebras and giraffes. I miss it already and feel like I have new friends across the world! Hope to return."

Mara Chui Eco-Resort

Mara Chui Eco-Resort ★★★★

📍 Ololaimutiek, Siana

"This place is amazing! It’s in a great location near gate and Maasai village with a well planned setting nestled between the natural forest. Cabin are comfortable with the convenience of a hotel but solar. The people that run the lodge are informative and became like family during my stay. Food was buffet style with a fair selection and tasty. The safari box lunch was more than adequate. Great experience I would highly recommend."

Fig Tree Camp - Maasai Mara
9.1 (53 reviews)

Fig Tree Camp - Maasai Mara ★★★★★

📍 Mara Mara Road, Talek

"Fabulous place! Comfortable “tents” (more like chalets than tents) and a river below them with hippo families and crocodiles. Shine a torch at night and the eyes gleam back at you. Run the beam over the bushes on the opposite bank and the eyes are those of hyenas. The night air carries the sounds of the hippos, hyenas and lions. If you get the chance, take the sunrise hot air balloon ride - it’s marvellous, and the breakfast on the Masai Mara grasslands when you land is a fantastic, surreal experience."

"The staff were very helpful and ensured we had everything we needed. Had a great time and the food was delicious."

Basecamp Wilderness

Basecamp Wilderness ★★★

📍 Mara Naboisho Conservancy, Koyaki

"Where should I start? I’ll give you the short version: everything was perfect! From the organization at the camp to the food and the cleanliness—it was simply perfect. 10 out of 10. My girlfriend has celiac disease, and it was no problem at all; it was taken into account at every meal. The food was delicious and very varied. The morning and evening game drives were a unique experience. Some lasted up to three or four hours, and the drivers clearly took their time. We didn't know what to expect, but we were absolutely thrilled. It was a perfect Experience to make a Safari art the Basecamp Wilderness"

Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara

Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara ★★★★★

📍 Oloololo Gate, Talek

"We have traveled around Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe) and this was our favorite place for wildlife BY FAR. The conservancy aspect is absolutely the way to go. You get to see the animals up close (since the guides have the flexibility to drive off the paths), without having twenty other trucks pushing to see the same thing. The first day we spent 30 minutes with a cheetah (and it was just us). We traveled in May, before the dry season and loved it. The landscape is still green and lush and the animal density was good. We managed several of the more difficult sightings (leopards, cheetahs). Our team of David and John were amazing guides. Not only does David know where to find the animals, he knows where they are headed (so we always got amazing pictures). You can tell they both love what they are doing. The staff is exceptional! Every single staff member is friendly. The actual tent is gorgeous and very clean. The hotel is unfenced, so enjoy the animal noises outside of your tent. We regularly had hippos and giraffes making nosies at night. We stayed for four days and three nights. That felt about right, but in hindsight we would have enjoyed an additional night. Figuring in the transportation, game drives, lodging and meals, it felt reasonable from a value aspect. We opted for the fly-in / fly-out and it was definitely worth it. 30 minute flight beats bouncing around in a truck for hours."

"Initially I liked the lodge! Staff seamed friendly enough but as we were leaving George approached us stating we owed money (we did not) the Safari coordinator Esther had not paid! My daughter arranged this trip as a present for myself and husband and although she had written confirmation from the owner of lodge that we had nothing to pay apart from drinks and tips and that they were expecting Natural World Safaris to pay the booking cost they locked the gate with padlocks until we paid AGAIN on our credit card!! I cannot express enough how scared we were…and to top off the charge was an even $500 which doesn’t match the various rates advertised. There was another couple there leaving at same time and had the same problem when leaving….we have been fighting with the Safari company for a refund but as yet no luck!"

Basecamp Wilderness ★★★
"Basecamp Wilderness gave me memories for a lifetime! Right there in nature with all the essential conveniences. Can’t say enough about staff and guides who made my stay easy and fun. Had a snafu when I was delivered to a distant air strip but over the miles (kilometers!) they found me and got me on the right path with help from their network. Everyone there wants you to have a good safe journey. The Naboisho Conservancy is a remarkable place that allows for incredible wildlife sightings in an intimate setting. Well-managed wilderness, Knowledgeable guides and limited number of other vehicles make for a deeply immersive experience. The camp is just right with great food and top level service. We also had not one but two prides of lion visit us on a hunt. Made for a thrilling night and stories for a lifetime. The guards were there for us and kept everyone safe. Never felt threatened just excited by this special visit!"

Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara ★★★★★
"I recently celebrated my 50th birthday at Olare Mara Kempinski in the Masai Mara with my partner, and it was truly the trip of a lifetime. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, thoughtful, seamless, and delivered with genuine warmth. Every member of the team made us feel not just welcomed, but genuinely cared for. A wonderful wow factor was that upon arrival we headed straight out on a game drive where we saw the most beautiful heard of elephants. Our tent was stunning. Spacious, beautifully appointed, and opening out onto uninterrupted views of the plains, it felt like our own private haven in the heart of the Mara. Waking up to the sounds of the bush and watching wildlife wander past from our deck was nothing short of magical. The food was another standout. Every meal offered exceptional quality and an impressive range of choices. Whether breakfast overlooking the plains or dinner under the stars, each dish was crafted with care and creativity. The dining team made every experience feel personal and elevated. We were fortunate to be looked after by an extraordinary group of people who made this stay unforgettable: • Brian, who welcomed us with warmth and ensured every detail of our stay felt effortless • Dominic, whose reservation support made planning smooth and stress‑free • Duncan, our phenomenal safari guide, whose knowledge, instinct, and passion brought the Mara to life • Caleb, the guide intern, whose enthusiasm and curiosity added so much to each drive • Kelvin, Livingston, and Herzon, who served us in the restaurant with grace, attentiveness, and genuine kindness • Joy, the masseuse, who delivered one of the most relaxing and restorative treatments I've ever experienced Thanks to Duncan, we saw the Big Five and so much more. Each game drive felt like its own story, filled with awe, excitement, and moments we’ll carry with us forever. Having attended another safari in Africa following our visit, we realised just how lucky we were to see and share these one of a kind moments with animals in their natural habitat. Olare Mara Kempinski delivered an extraordinary blend of luxury, adventure, and heartfelt hospitality. It was the perfect place to celebrate such a meaningful milestone, and we left feeling deeply grateful for every moment and every person who made it so special."
