"The Mena House's views and location are truly unbeatable, one of a kind in the world. You can only fully experience the pyramids from sunrise, midday, to sunset by staying here. As night falls, without the pyramid lights, they appear exceptionally serene and mysterious, framed by the hotel's lights and palm trees. This is an experience that simply can't be replicated by just visiting for a quick photo. The hotel also carries immense historical significance. The Cairo Conference was signed here, and photos of the 'Big Three' from that era hang on the walls, full of historical resonance. For me, paying for this unique scenery and historical ambiance was absolutely worth it; I have no regrets. However, frankly speaking, the hotel's amenities, service, and attention to detail absolutely do not match its price (you're paying for the location, not the service). The hairdryer has weak power, leaving my hair dry and frizzy at the ends. The toiletries, especially the toothpaste, are of poor quality, like a product without any brand or quality assurance. There's only one type of pillow, and it's so soft it offers no support whatsoever. After one night, my neck was aching – not what you'd expect from a high-end hotel. The restaurant experience was also terrible: I ordered soup, and it was served without a spoon. I couldn't find one anywhere, and by the time the waiter brought one, the soup was completely cold. The restaurant staff would even specifically ask if everything was satisfactory, but by then, complaining felt pointless, so I could only say 'it's fine.' What was even more unsettling was the fake, superficial service. When I genuinely needed help or efficiency, no one was around. When checking out, my suitcase had spinner wheels and was very easy to push, but a staff member insisted on 'helping' with it, performing this kind of meaningless, superficial gesture. In summary: Staying here means paying for the pyramid views and the historical sentiment, not for comfort and service. Those who value scenery and historical significance might find it acceptable, but anyone seeking genuine service quality and a premium lodging experience will definitely be disappointed."

The scenery was breathtaking, and we had a wonderful evening at the revolving restaurant, which boasted not only magnificent views but also a delightful atmosphere. However, what impressed us most was the incredible honesty and integrity of your hotel team. My wallet was lost, and the hotel staff went to great lengths to find and return it to me; their kindness truly saved our trip. We sincerely thank Mohamed and his colleagues for helping my husband recover his wallet, and also thank Alaa Ahmed at the front desk for her warm and professional service, as well as many other friendly staff members. "After staying in various hotel all around Egypt with various star ratings, the Sheraton hotel is truly an international 5 star hotel. From the front desk reception being helpful and friendly to the buffet selection which was large and very good. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. I arrived late at night and got upgraded to a suite. So I can’t complain about this because the room was so beautiful and it was close to 2,000 square feet. Bed sheets was nice. The only complain I have is there is no sockets for today’s travelers who need to charge their phones and devices. You would have to plug in a travel adapter first for your devices to charge. If they can add USB A & C sockets everywhere in the room, that would be so much better"

"Facilities: Meets 5-star standards. USB ports are available, so no adapters needed. There's a balcony with a river view. The only downside is that the toilet is too close to the wall, making it easy to hit your head when getting up. Cleanliness: Pretty much dust-free, though there was a sandstorm just before we arrived, which might have had a slight impact, so there was a tiny bit of dust. The bathroom was clean and fine. Environment: The hotel interior and exterior are like two different worlds. The air freshener scent was a bit strong and seemed a little forced. It's not a brand-new hotel, but it's well-maintained. The building is perpendicular to the riverbank, so there are fewer rooms directly facing the river; most have a partial river view. This area along the Nile in Cairo is full of big hotels, with the St. Regis nearby. It's roughly the same distance by car to attractions on both the east and west banks, so I highly recommend staying in this area. Service: My flight arrived in the morning, and I stored my luggage. They said the room would be ready by noon. When I returned in the evening, I initially couldn't find my luggage, but then the hotel checked and said it had already been sent to the room – a false alarm. Breakfast was excellent and highly recommended."

"Although the hotel is far from the city center, it is close to the Great Pyramids of Giza, also known as the GEM. The breakfast is delicious, and when we got tired of Egyptian food we stopped off at the restaurant towards the end of the day. The pizza and french fries were amazing. The breakfast area has a great view, and it really makes you feel like you're on vacation. It's a bit disappointing that it's easy to hear noise from the next room, but I'm glad I chose this hotel over a hotel in the city."

"Excellent location overlooking the Nile and with great facilities on-site, incl. small essential shops in the lobby. Decent pool and good food selections. The decor is a little old now and it is begging for a refurb/refresh of the rooms, but very clean and well-serviced by the friendly and helpful staff. My family very much enjoyed our stay here while exploring Cairo and Alexandria (very possible to explore Giza and the pyramids from here too, just a 30-40min drive away)."

"The hotel is a value for money option in Cairo. They serve a plethora for the buffet breakfast and it was delicios. Dinner buffet spread choices were lesser in comparison to breakfast. The room is clean and spacious, however, being at the top most floor (Level 8), the water pressure was not too good. All the staff were very warm and welcoming. Safety is good with security checks done upon entry. There are also 2 gift shops, a pharmacy, Starbucks and even a massage centre within the hotel premises. As it was winter, I did not have the chance to try out their pool. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and would definitely be patronising them again."
