"Love their home cooked dishes! We rather go back to hotel for meal after Gubei water town. The couple bosses were so sweet to let us indicate spiciness and accommodate our minor diet restriction. They dun have noodles but they used alternative ingredients to make some gourd dish that tasted close to noodles. The rooms were big, in SG standard, one bed was queen size and the other was super single. Their bathroom was newly renovated and love their heater installed at shower cubicle, making it more comfortable to shower in cold weather. The couple bosses provided great tips on local transport to help us get to/fro Jinshanling for sunset and sunrise opportunities. They are situated around 5min drive from Jinshanling ticketing. Love the room doorstep views overlooking the geese and house dog. We will choose this hotel next time!"

"The inn boasts an excellent location, with a clear view of the Great Wall and its battlements right from our window. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive, even giving us a complimentary room upgrade. The food was organic, healthy, delicious, and offered great value for money. What's even more remarkable is that the innkeeper, Mr. Zhou Wanping, is a guardian of the Great Wall and a renowned photographer with the photography association. We actually met him inside the Great Wall battlements, and he was very humble. When we left, the proprietress walked us to the door, promising to see us again in autumn."

"This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in at this price point. There's absolutely no service. The room was dark and damp, and the bedding felt moist. As soon as I walked in, there was a strong musty smell. The room door was weathered, and the window couldn't close properly. The hotel breakfast was incredibly basic... just eggs, pickles, and fried dough sticks. Seriously, it's the worst, no exaggeration. It wasn't even as good as some 100-200 yuan hotels I've stayed in before."

"Another year at Aranya Jinshanling, and this time we stayed at the Utopia Hotel, which has a wonderfully scholarly vibe. There are books, wine, and coffee, and the design is incredibly stylish. Sitting on the mountain-side terrace at night, listening to music and sipping red wine 🍷, I truly felt that relaxed sense of ease! We took some time to go into the mountains to breathe in the fresh air and just chill, clearing our minds – it really gave us that perfect feeling of escaping from the world ⛱️."

"Super good farmyard! I came to Jinshanling for a game. The last farmhouse cheated me. I almost had to sleep on the street (speechless). I changed hands and found that this farmhouse had an empty room. The boss and the proprietress are sincere people, especially good to the guests, especially intimate, specially picked me up to the foot of the Great Wall to participate in the game. In the evening, I made dinner for me, full of two large bowls and my own farm dishes, and charged me ten yuan. The room was also very clean and I slept very comfortably. highly recommended! !"

"Be cautious when booking. If you have no other options, be sure to speak with the hostess. She has a poor understanding, acts impulsively, and acts without regard for consequences. 1. No rooms available upon arrival. We booked two rooms for our off-road trip, but only one was available. It's likely they rented it out at an inflated price. According to the host, this wasn't just us; at least one other person also had their room sold out, meaning they overbooked by two rooms. This isn't a one-off incident! 2. Asking for a surcharge. This place asked for a surcharge without prior notice. In the end, after discussing it with the hostess, they refunded 50 yuan (room rate was 160 yuan per room, plus breakfast was 10 yuan per person, totaling 30 yuan, equivalent to half of the room rate). I heard from runners staying elsewhere that they didn't charge extra for arriving late. Some hosts who live farther away offered free shuttle services to the starting point. By the way, there's a place that charges two bowls of noodles for 10 yuan, but here they charge 10 yuan per bowl. Apparently, another place across the street doesn't charge extra, so keep an eye out for it. 3. Bad attitude. The man's attitude was extremely awful, his words were incoherent, and normal communication was impossible. Those who believe in "less is more" should think twice! I hope the behavior of a few individuals won't tarnish Jinshanling's reputation. Overall, the people on this off-road trip were very kind and warm, and I heard some very sincere stories about the hospitality of the shops!"

They waited for us at around 9 o'clock in the evening and helped us prepare dinner. The dishes cooked by the boss were also very delicious and especially suitable for our appetite. The room was newly renovated and carefully decorated. It was clean, hygienic and refreshing! I will choose this restaurant next time I go to Jinshanling Great Wall. There is a large parking lot at the door, which is convenient for parking."

"Very satisfied, mainly close to the scenic spot. I had dinner in the evening and rented a car from Beijing to stay at the foot of the Jinshanling Great Wall for one night. I saved parking and family shuttle fares. The room was very cheap and what kind of bicycles were needed. Climbing the Great Wall the next morning, there were no people. When I came out at 9:30, the tourists slowly had some. The boss is also very good, we want to buy a bottle of water and send a bottle directly."
