Went to event at Soundboard with friends - great venue so a group of four friends decided to make an overnight of it, including check-in after using the wonderful spa which was an excellent experience. The hotel was adequate, but the surprise was the lack of amenities, such as no actual water glasses for the room, no wine glasses available for the room, and no ability to really order food to the room other than going to the food court options, which are not impressive. We did, however, have an excellent dinner at ritzy restaurant, Revel. Pricey but great experience for a splurge. Room on 12th floor was blazing hot even with temp set at 65 degrees (with governor so could not adjust lower), and room was more like 75 degrees. Altogether, a fun experience at adequate hotel with pricey but wonderful spa, fantastic dinner at Revel restaurant and convenient access to Soundboard event venue.

Is a very nice, clean, basic hostel. Location is outside downtown Detroit so can be expensive to travel by car but Uber and Lyft are both readily available. Has wonderful restaurants in the immediate area and a very diverse community of very nice people. I really enjoyed waking up to the call to prayer from the local mosque. Managers were friendly and accommodating. Could use a fan in the room but not a huge deal. Bathroom, kitchen and common area was kept exceptionally clean. Had a nice courtyard with a fire pit for evening gatherings. Was quiet for sleep at night. I felt safe and secure as a female solo traveler.

Good price, and not too far from a few restaurant and fast food spots so that we can easily grab a bite to eat. For us, it’s a clean and comfy bed to stay in when we are in town for work.

The hotel was overcrowded during the exhibition. The facilities in the hotel were OK. The bad experience came from the fact that we clearly booked a double room, but the front desk gave us a double room on the grounds that there were no rooms.

Overall, the hotel is clean and well maintained. However When we arrived to check in, our room was not ready until around 3:25 PM which was very disappointing, as we were very tired from driving long hours.
During the night, the cleaning guy at the lobby was very noisy, speaking loudly on his phone speaker, while we were trying to relax and have coffee, thus we left the whole lobby for him and went to our rooms.

This hotel was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life hands down. It was clean and comfortable, the rooms are designed so different than any hotel and the paintings along side the building are incredible. The decorations in the lobby are one of a kind and all the pictures of Detroit in the halls are something great to
Look at! The food was excellent! Never had anything like that! One in a life time experience!! Loved the court hard where you can play bags and hang out, outside. Such a great place! Loved it! Looking forward to going back soon!

GGuest UserThe location is a little off, but the hotel facilities are good, basically matching the domestic five-star hotels, the service is also very good, and the price is reasonable. It is not far from the city center, highly recommended

GGuest UserDetroit locals stayed in many hotels, the room was very clean, especially the bedding was very soft and clean, the room was a bit small, the downstairs was a bit noisy but did not affect the experience of staying. The color matching of the bathroom and shower room is very distinctive. Downstairs is the service desk and a place for coffee snacks. You can sit in the seat outside the door, bask in the sun, drink coffee, enjoy a daze in a clean environment and enjoy the local life atmosphere. .
GGuest UserI spent one night at the Hollywood ****** at Greektown. I did not visit the ******. I was looking for a nice place to stay for the night. The hotel grounds were 4-stars. I arrived around 7 PM. It took some time to check in because I had to wait for a number of others who qualified for the VIP check-in line.
I stayed in a basic, twin queen room. The room and bathroom were nice and modern. Shortly after getting into my room, bright exterior lights turned on - shining in the direction of my room. I couldn't see what they were illuminating, but if I had to guess, it was perhaps the hotel name written on the exterior. Those lights stayed on all night. The drapes didn't completely cover the windows, so my room was illuminated all night. The room stayed one temperature despite what the thermostat was set to. There was an intermittent hum coming from the in-wall heater as if it was revving up. I ultimately slept with earplugs.
I am have been able to overlook the illuminated room, dysfunctional thermostat, and intermittent hum if I was there for other reasons than to sleep, like to visit the ******, or go out.
GGuest UserOverall the place was great. Friendly staff, great location! I would suggest different curtains rather than sheer as you’re super close to the stadium/ lights that shined through all night. Made it a little hard to sleep with the room being light. The breakfast was a little below average any hotel breakfast, nothing cooked like meats or eggs. But the fresh fruit and bagels were good to hold us off till lunch. Breakfast isn’t served till 9am, which is a little late in my opinion if you’re headed off early in the AM. Overall it was a good stay and a great location within walking distance to either 3 stadiums, and I would book again.
GGuest UserThe furniture was badly scratched and damaged. The carpet was nearly worn out. The desk chair fabric was worn, and even the trashcans were rusted inside. Overall, the room needed to be remodeled. My room was cleaned once after the first day of a five-day stay. The cleaning staff didn't come until 2:30-3 pm on days three and four. I attended training classes and events between 9 am and 2 pm. I will probably not book a room at a Wyndham Hotel again. I should have taken photos.
GGuest UserWhile this hotel was nice and clean, it does not mention that EVERYTHING you pay so much to stay at the hotel for one night, is closed. The restaurant inside, the breakfast buffet restaurant, the workout room, and the bar is CLOSED. I’m not happy that I paid $250 just to sleep.
AA. LozanoPerfect location to discover Detroit Downtown, super close to People Mover Stop Millender Center! It features Starbucks coffee machine and it also has its own coffee shop.
HHaijunThe room was ok. The location is also very good. The gym is huge and has a lot of equipment. Downstairs is the General Motors showroom. The breakfast was a bit poor. I was a bit annoyed at the long queue when I checked out. Since I had to catch a plane, I threw down my room card and left.
