"- Perfect for traveler with Cars - Safe and Secure free parking (street level and underground) - Safe location - free parking till 4 pm after check out - good service - clean and nice decorated room"
"- Right at Fisherman’s Wharf - Good American breakfast - Good sized rooms, comes with an extra pantry area with sink & tap, water kettle, fridge & microwave. - Great reception. Shout out to Mr Lawrence Overall, the best hotel we stayed in during our 2 weeks road trip (with 2 kids) in CA."
"Rooms were clean , it is located at one of the safest areas of SG , proximity to popular tourist spots like fisherman’s wharf , art museum and golden gate is a bonus . The manager was a nice guy and informative . I would like to stay again if i have a trip to SF☺️"
"Strategic location away from homeless area but still close to most of iconic spots in SF. Didn’t expect they’ll clean our room and changes the towel everyday given its 2 star hotel, but apparently they did. Satisfied 👌🏻"
"It was an absolutely great trip. Great stay! We needed to change some part of our booking and it was looked after easily. The service at hotel was just perfect, and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Great location for everywhere we needed to be. We also were able to visit friends from neighboring hotels and had a beautiful quiet night of visiting around a fire. Honestly a hilight of my stay."
"Basic motel-style accommodation. The rooms was very clean, but on the small side. In the morning a basic breakfast is available in the lobby, consisting of coffee/juices, some cereals, cinnamon buns, pancakes and a piece a fruit. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The location is also excellent, very convenient to start your sightseeing trip."
"Basic amenities like towels and laundry room were there but there were no water bottles or water flask to boil drinking water in the room. Coffee machine not clean (see attached picture). There’s a sofa in the room so what you see on pictures posted is what you get. Rooms were not sound proof as we were disturbed by our neighbours who held a party in their room on their last day of stay. The only saving grace is reception is helpful and friendly to guide on the use of laundry machine which I have to pay U$3.50 for 30 minutes wash cycle (comes with detergent) and U$4.50 for a 45 minutes drying cycle. Parking is free in a gated community and location is near to Fishermen’s Wharf. If you are calling for cab from app, be sure to indicate Star Motel entrance as it kept bringing them to the back of the hotel where the gate is not opened."

Great
GGuest UserAs a vintage style hotel, it provides most of your needs. Wish there’s a fridge for long stays. The front desk staff is very friendly. Even though a continental breakfast is served, it hass an upgraded food selections including hot dishes, i.e. scrambled eggs, sausages, etc. I’ll revisit here next in town.
FFrancheskaMLocation is perfect! The public transportation is right outside the hotel. Hotel itself is really comfortable and clean. Soft pillows and beddings, regular cleaning of the room, complete bathroom amenities. Staffs are also polite and helpful. Would definitely come back here!
CChenzel TanDeducted 1 point from location as there were too many homeless people around that made us not feel safe when walking in or out of the hotel. The room itself were big enough for 2 people and I would commend the staff for being so accommodating helping us to check in early and checking if they have an available twin room available instead of just giving us a King bed when they noticed we were 2 friends together. No bellboy in the hotel so be prepared to lug all your luggages up to your room. They have free breakfast/snacks in the morning and coffee/tea. Overall satisfied with my stay!
GGuest UserWe had an excellent stay. The bed was so comfortable and the service was so good. We didn’t realise breakfast was included and you can make free coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the foyer all day which was a blessing.
GGuest UserSuper good for value in the centre of SFO. Decent choice of breakfast, fruits, yoghurt, croissant, etc Hot water available throughout the day. Clean room and comfy bed.
GGuest UserI had booked a single deluxe room; it was very spacious and I loved how there was hanging space and plenty of drawers. I was there for a week and so it was nice to be able to properly unpack and have my things organised. The room would be comfortable even for two people. The room did not have air conditioning but had a ceiling fan which I actually prefer to aircon; it was July yet the room never became too hot. The window was able to open and there was a screen mesh to prevent bugs entering. I asked for and got a kettle for the room to heat my own water. Stable free Wifi. There was a shared bathroom thus is was appreciated that was a sink in the bedroom (had toiletries, flannels and towels provided). The shared toilet and shower facilities were always clean and even though I was there a week there was never a time that I had to wait/they were occupied when I wanted to use them. The shower room had a curtain separating the wet and dry areas and there was plenty of hooks to hand items. Everywhere was always clean. It was very quiet except for sometimes being some noise from outside. There is a small basic kitchen area if you want to prepare some simple dishes ( I never used it), and a laundry where a wash and dry is very reasonably priced. The hotel is in a very good location and I found it ideal for exploring San Francisco. Powell street BRT is a direct line to the train station, there is a streetcar (F) which goes directly to the piers, and a bus (7) which goes along Fell Street to Golden Gate park and if you went to the end of the line it goes to the other end of Golden Gate Park/coast/beach. I walked to other areas. It is ideal if you plan to go to any concerts, and the International Art Museum of America (free entry) is only a couple of mins walk. There are many eating places in the surrounding streets including a food court with reasonably priced food – included an Ikea restaurant where hotdogs are one dollar. The hotel felt safe and secure. The front door is always locked and there is a key card to enter the hotel and the rooms. I appreciated that not once did the key card become desensitised. The hotel is in the Mission District and thus the area does have some homeless people around; you would not notice much during the day, though many more during the evening. I am a female travelling solo and I never had any problems with any people in the area and never felt unsafe. Evening during the evening the streets are so busy that you don’t feel vulnerable as there are so many people around. I could see from my bedroom window that through the night large crowds would congregate at the corner opposite the hotel, sometimes could be noisy, and they made lots of rubbish, however, everything was cleaned up and by the next morning there was no trace of it…that is a sign that the area is taken care of. Staff always friendly and helpful. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would have no hesitation in staying again. There was no false advertising , and the facilities were what I expected based on the description, in fact, when considering the reviews, the hotel was better than I was expecting. If people want comfortable, clean basic accommodation you can’t go wrong with this.
GGuest UserThe hostel only accepts check-out between 9 and 10 AM! Those who need to leave early should be aware of the time, otherwise they will forfeit their $20 cash deposit. The deposit must be in cash. For this price, it's already quite good to be able to sleep in a decent place in San Francisco, haha! The hostel's common area is quite nice, very large, and you can even cook. The receptionist is very friendly.
