"This hotel is truly unique! El Gran Hotel boasts over a century of history, and its beautifully preserved architecture creates an impressive retro charm. Located in the heart of Mérida, within walking distance of the cathedral and Grand Plaza, it's convenient for dining and shopping. It's also close to the train station to Progreso Beach, making it a great base for exploring the city and the coast. Quiet, comfortable, and attentive service, it offers excellent value!"
"This hotel is centrally located in Merida, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the hotel staff is super friendly. They also provide 4 free bottles of water in your room per day!"
"The hotel location is very close to tourist attractions and the is very nice. Also, there is a safety parking lot with a security guard and security door."
"The location was great, and we enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning (muffin and coffee). The only annoying thing was that there is noise and light coming into the room. All the rooms are on the side of the pool so as people pass by or swim in the pool, it gets noisy fast."
"The location is excellent. Clean. Parking is provided. There's a mini cafe where you can get coffee. The staff is very attentive. The room is small and modest, but clean. There was a hairdryer. They brought an iron. Cons: no refrigerator in the room and no elevator."
"The first floor was a standard cleaning service, although we had to request health care paper on the 4th day, At the beginning of the day when the air conditioning was set on, this had a water leak by enchuring the entrance to the room, which was reported, taking account of the disadvantage.
In the 6th floor room is not cleaning the room above all the bathroom, it is noticed that only beds were held, one of the days stayed in the room arrives the cleaning service and is expected outside the room and in 3 The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable.
I hope that the comment will be taken into account to strengthen the opportunities areas so that the service does not fall to the benefit of the hotel and the customers.

Amazing
TTwinriverI stayed in Residence Inn Merida for a month in January 2024. I liked the location and services. It’s very close to the Galleria Mall, Costco and a large grocery store. You can take bus R72 to Central Merida which is very convenient if you don’t have a car or don’t want to drive. The room is clean and equipped with full kitchen. The breakfast is included. The front desk staffs are also helpful. They helped us to arrange two private day trips to Maya sites and cenotes. The only thing I would recommend is to improve the quality and add more choices to the breakfast. Not many varieties of breakfast. The refrigerator is a little bit noisy at night.
GGuest UserIt was the best hotel we stayed in this Mexico trip. Hotel room was clean with good air conditioning. Shower was great too. Breakfast buffet offered many choices of Mexican food and drinks.
GGuest UserMe gustó todo la verdad. Es un hotel muy completo y con un precio muy competitivo. El desayuno me gustó mucho por la variedad para el precio que tenía. Muy recomendable!
GGuest UserHorrible service! They first gave us to a room which was fine upon entering but then we saw people’s clothes and shoes. We went back to reception. She said that her colleague made mistake and gave our room away to someone else without putting in the system. She gave us another room which was smelly like hell! I asked her to change or refund. She said its the only room left and she knows its smelly and she was sorry but she couldn’t do anything. She could only put us to another room the next day. She also refused to compensate. It was midnight. We had no local sim card so had no choice but to stay. At night there was lots of noise from boiler/machine so we couldn’t sleep. It ruined our holiday. They changed us to a different room next day but refused to compensate. We had to suffer at our own cost! The location is god and the room after changed was fine. But they made us suffer for their mistake yet refused to compensate! Such a shame for a hotel to behave like this! So if you don’t want surprise or ruin your holiday, try to avoid this hotel!
NNikkilaoshiService was great we arrived almost 8pm. Be aware we did not stay at the address listed but there are 3 properties 2 mins walking to each other. We arrived at the address and there was a sign with a number to call or contact on WhatsApp. They answered quickly and came to get us and our luggage to checkin at the main building then led us to the other (3rd location). Our room room was small but clean. The pool in our building was the biggest but there was leaves inside looked unmaintained but not gross…fairly clean. There was a little “kitchen” with a fridge and microwave and coffee maker which looked like it hasn’t been used in a long time before getting to the pool…there were 2 sets of chairs at the pool. Now at the main building the complimentary continental breakfast was fruit, yogurt, granola, and coffee. The optional buffet was 190 pesos and WELL worth it many options and delicious. The main building pol was very cute and we loved the complimentary “steam bath” which is a steam room with shower heads…need to let them know 10 mins before to preheat it. They also helped arrange our excursion to cenotes which was cheaper than we saw elsewhere. We communicated thru WhatsApp no complaints I’d stay here again….we struggled with hot water often it was lukewarm but apparently that’s a thing in this area. It’s close enough to the popular area called “centro” about a 25 min walk and 10 mins to the US consulate
GGuest UserWhat a great little capsul hostel. It’s a little way from the main areas in Merida, but only a 10-15 min walk, so fine overall. The place it spotlessly clean. You get towel and bedding. The doors in the capsule lock which is great for a sense of security and they are very private. The aircon can be a bit aggressive so ask for a blanket which they have. I don’t have the waffles in the end, but I smashed the free coffee and tea ! Staff were soo very welcoming and kind to me. I would highly recommend this accommodation either for a short or long stay. Get it booked !
GGuest UserThe pool is nice and the hotel is located a few blocks away from the main attractions in downtown. The best part of this experience was the hotel staff. They were extra helpful and kind. Always ready to help in whatever you need. The only complaint I have is the cleanliness in the room. There was dust in some parts of the room and the sheets weren't very clean. They didn't change them. Also, the pillows aren't comfortable. But the rest of the hotel is not bad at all for the price. I slept well, the ac works well. I would stay there again.
