Visitors to Gangneung-si will find that the Gangneung Gyeongpodae Victoria is a fantastic accommodation choice. The hotel is conveniently located just 4km from Gangneung Station and 35km from Yangyang International Airport. Seeing Gangneung-si's sights from this hotel is easy with Arte Museum Valley Gangneung, Gyeongpo Lake and Wonder Sky all close by. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic.
1. Pros: Good price, convenient location if you drive (next to Gyeongpo Lake), convenient parking (large parking lot), friendly owner, water purifier and microwave on each floor, good for heating food, hot water comes out well 2. Cons: Central heating, so if you don't tell the counter, it can be a bit hot (there is air conditioning in each room), cleaning or towel change must be requested separately (they don't come in and do it randomly, which may be an advantage) Since it's an old place that was remodeled, there are traces of time on the fixtures, etc., but I think it's a great place for the price!! The most satisfying thing was the convenient parking.

The hotel was superb, right on the beach and had spectacular views. The rooms were excellent with great facilities. The iPad in the room giving you up to date information was very useful. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of restaurant choices in the hotel. The evening buffet on the top floor was expensive so we didn’t eat there. 108,000 won per person. There were cheaper alternatives in the lobby. Unfortunately, you had to pay extra to use the infinity pool and gym so we didn’t do this. 35,000 won to use a pool seemed unfair and should be built into the price of the room. I would highly recommend anyone to stay there.

I went on a family weekend trip and had a great time. Gyeongpo Lake and the beach are both close by, the owner was kind, the room was clean, and everything was great. The parking lot was also spacious. There's a convenience store on the first floor, and there are many good restaurants around. The prices are reasonable! I'll definitely visit again next time!

Amazing
Would like to commend front desk staff Jason for personally attending to our check-in. He had painstakingly showed us to our Block B apartment room helping to also push 1 of our bags. As the room did not provide us with a sunrise view, had requested for a room change for the 2nd night and Jason himself again personally came to help us with the room transfer movement. His good english was a also pleasant surprise.as also his charming attitude and smiling look. The resort should cherish such young & kind-hearted staff. Kudos to him! Also, there was a manager (unfortunately could not remember his name who had a christian name to his name tag and slightly burly sized) @ the indoor pool/spa reception who should be praised for also taking the trouble to allow us entry (though we did not book any slot) on our check out day for us to take some photo pics for remembrance. He actually helped us take our couple shot, took the time to showcase us the nice indoor pool and its magnificent balcony view before accompanying us out and showing us the way to the beach. Thank you kind sir! The fantastic service we received from above 2 gentlemen is really testament to Shillamonogram's astute and comprehensive staff training especially with focus on customer satisfaction. Well done Shillamonogram. Will certainly recommend the resort for a wonderful staycation.

Super nice sea view , room look exactly like the photo . Room with simple cooking equipment that u can cook ramen or little snack . Dryer , towel all those basic things are provided. But 2 things u have to take notes , this homestay type of property doest not have reception or person incharge at the area , even during check in , so make sure u contact with trip.com to get the check in information before u reach there , or else if u can speak korean or u will need to at-least have a number that can call Korean number to contact property management when u arrive and tell them u need check in , i think simple English like “check in “ they can understand. If u don’t have any number that can call or did not contact trip earlier on to get the information, u will be there and wait and u can’t check in smoothly for sure . Secondly this location is far from the city area (like ktx/ bus express terminal and anmok beach ) this location is only near to sundubu gelato by foot about 20min. My suggestion is if u wanna stay here , prepare food and drink and stay whole day just in room to enjoy the view of sea and nice room if u did not driving . Basically for the view and nice room , I will come back again .

It was a very nice experience - of course the hotel is more expensive due to its unique ”design”, but for us it was worth it (we only stayed one night). The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and clean and parking was included. Only thing is, that there is a little walk from the parking lot to the reception, but there are carts that can be borrowed. Also the surrounding area is nice and has some viewing spots worth exploring. We had nothing to complain.

GGuest UserThe store is respectful and the room is clean and tidy. fully equipped. There is also a cat at the door. There is a bus stop at the entrance of the hotel, very quiet. The spa bathtub can remove travel fatigue. It is recommended to bring some meat and barbecue at the door. There is also a small shop at the entrance. Go directly to the beach for 3 minutes. A good place for sea fishing. Very good travel experience.
