The room was more than enough for my needs. The hotel is near the train station which was very convenient. Breakfast wasn't that much but it was good. The staff were responsive. It was a great stay overall. I was able to rest after days of traveling.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The location is incredibly convenient, especially for travelers looking to explore Yokohama or needing easy access to Tokyo. Being right next to Tsurumi Station makes it incredibly easy to get around without relying too much on taxis or long walks. The room itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Though not overly spacious, it made efficient use of space, ensuring a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. What stood out most was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of both Japanese and Western options, which was a great way to start the day. If I had to find any fault, it would be that the hotel is located in a quieter part of Yokohama, which might not suit everyone's taste. However, for me, it added to the charm and made for a peaceful retreat after busy days of sightseeing. Overall, I highly recommend the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi for its comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. I was very surprised by the hotel: everything seemed to be fine, a fairly large room, the floor was spotless, the bathroom was nice, everything seemed to be there, towels were changed and the cleaning was done every day. A balcony in the room. Yes, it is obvious that it has not been renovated for a long time and the equipment is old. However, you can feel the absence of the owner. There are some things that are simply killing: a dirty ventilation grill with a huge layer of dust, a chandelier and lamps in centuries-old dust, yellowed and stained signs. If you remove these little things, and it is not difficult, the hotel could pass for 3 *, and if you make an effort, then 4 * and 5 *. The location is gorgeous, the breakfasts, although not very varied, but the food is good, fresh. I got the impression that this hotel does not have an owner or he does not care how much money the hotel brings in. Very strange. The audibility behind the wall, as next to and the sound from the railway somehow did not bother me very much.

First time in Japan, so I chose this hotel based on location and price, with my desire for higher floor rooms for a view. I stayed near Shinagawa station, and also in Osaka, all with the same budget per night. This hotel was the best of the 3, very nice facilities and amenities (7/11 in the lobby!!), with a spacious room. I'd probably pass on the buffet breakfast next time, but that's just me, there was a wide selection for everyone. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in that area.

Stayed for two nights. The hotel is next to Shinzian Station on the Keikyu Line and Keihin Tohoku Line. It's actually in Kanagawa, not in Yokohama city. Let’s talk about the advantages first: The hotel is very convenient. Whether it’s going to Tokyo Station or Haneda Airport, it’s all on the same line (Haneda needs to get off in the middle and transfer to the opposite side to Haneda). There are many eating places and convenience stores around the hotel, which is generally very convenient. The free breakfast is rich in variety, including vegetables and meat. It is self-service and tastes good. The facility is very new and has just opened. You can see Mount Fuji on a clear day. Let’s talk about the disadvantages: being next to the railway, the low floors may be noisy. If it is a smoking room, some smells will be stronger. There is also a cemetery next to Xinzian Station. It was a bit scary when I saw it as soon as I came out of the station. This time I stayed in room 919, which is a smoking floor. AAnonymous UserI chose this hotel because I was going to a concert at Zepp, and it was super convenient, just two blocks away. The room facilities were new and complete, and the hotel's decor maintained the consistently grand and comfortable style of Mitsui Garden. Although the breakfast didn't change much over two days, it was quite tasty. While the hotel isn't directly above a subway station, the surrounding area is very pleasant, which was perfect for me as I wanted to avoid crowded tourist spots. To get to Haneda Airport, you can take the Keikyu bus from the Westin; it's the easiest and most stress-free way. The fare is 1000 JPY per person, and you can pay with cash or an IC card on board, though the service isn't very frequent (surprisingly, the Mitsui Garden staff told me to go to Yokohama Station to catch a bus!). The weather in Yokohama wasn't great this trip, so it was a slight shame I couldn't see Mount Fuji from my room. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the hotel and would gladly choose it again in the future.

There's a dedicated elevator from Exit 4 of Nihon Odori Station, and downstairs you'll find a Japanese cafe and bakery perfect for a quick bite. It's just two stops to Minato Mirai with guaranteed seating, and within walking distance of the Red Brick Warehouse, Yamashita Park, and Chinatown. You can also catch the Seabass from Yamashita Park pier for a beautiful night view tour.
Cleanliness: While not exceptionally meticulous, the cleanliness is still decent and meets expectations for this price point. One evening, I toasted some bread, and the housekeeping staff even washed my plate and chopsticks afterward, which was a nice touch.

The location is excellent, situated in a business district with plenty of restaurants available during the daytime. There’s a 7-Eleven on the first floor, which is very convenient, although it closes at 11:00 PM. After around 9:00 PM, it can be a bit difficult to find late-night food nearby. However, the vending machines offer options like takoyaki and pork teriyaki rice, which are helpful for a quick late-night meal.
The room is spacious enough for two people and offers a great view. The bathroom is large and separated from the toilet, which makes it more comfortable to use.
Amenities are available at the lobby for guests to pick up, and they provide everything you might need—cleansing oil, face wash, cotton buds, conditioner, shaving cream, shaving kits, and more. Pajamas are also provided in the room, and they are very comfortable.
One of the highlights is the onsen located on the lobby floor, open until 1:00 AM. It’s perfect for relaxing after a long day of meetings or events.
There is also a laundry area with washing and drying machines at a very affordable price. However, the dryer may not fully dry clothes even after 90 minutes, so keep that in mind.
The lobby area is suitable for working late into the night. Wi-Fi is strong, and complimentary coffee and hot tea are available 24/7.
The TV is excellent—Sharp 4K with good sound quality—perfect for watching your own Netflix content.
Overall, a great stay, especially for business travelers or anyone attending events at K-Arena.

JJennifer WLCRight in the heart of Yokohama Minato Mirai 21! I booked a room facing the city, and it had a perfect view of the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel. The night view was absolutely stunning, and I could even see ships coming and going from Yokohama Port from the side.
For breakfast, they had Hokkaido's unique Kurosenkoku natto, which had a different texture than the natto you usually find – definitely worth trying!
Next time I visit Yokohama, InterContinental Yokohama Grand will still be my top choice!

The hotel is a bit of a walk from Yokohama Station, but we always took the train from Shin-Takashima Station, which was only a five-minute walk and saved us a lot of unnecessary trudging – very convenient. It definitely offers better value for money compared to hotels in Tokyo.
The room was quite spacious by Japanese standards, and the facilities were good. It had the classic Japanese unit bathroom, so we could enjoy a relaxing bath every evening after coming back. Disposable amenities were available for self-service in the 9th-floor lobby. Breakfast was very substantial and varied daily, which was a nice touch.
The Wi-Fi was indeed pretty bad. I had bought a data-rich SIM card, so after one failed attempt to connect, I just gave up on the hotel Wi-Fi.
Getting to Disneyland was easy by bus, about an hour's ride, which was much more convenient than constantly switching subway lines. For a round trip to Kamakura, the subway took about half an hour each way.
Yokohama, as a seaside city, is absolutely charming. It's bright, clean, and well-planned. Coming here from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo was a breath of fresh air.

1. Unbeatable Location (Seriously!): The hotel is right next to Yokohama Station. It might be a little tricky to find the first time, but once you locate the ”East Exit (Exit A),” it's just a 2-minute walk. There's a FamilyMart convenience store downstairs, which is super convenient for grabbing anything you need. It's also easy to get to Kamakura, Tokyo, or explore Yokohama's Red Brick Warehouse.
2. New Facilities and Excellent Cleanliness: Having opened in 2020, the hotel's facilities are very new. While the rooms are typically compact for Japan, they are well-designed, and the housekeeping keeps everything spotless. Our room type had enough space to fully open our luggage.
3. Thoughtful Service: There are self-check-in machines in the lobby, making the process quick. On the first floor, you can pick up toiletries, skincare samples (the facial cleanser was great!), and even borrow bath salts and curling irons. This was a fantastic touch, especially for female guests.
4. Breakfast: Served at Beck's Coffee on the first floor. It's simple but tasty; I recommend the hot dog set.
Minor Drawbacks:
The hotel is right next to the JR railway tracks. If your room faces the tracks, you can hear trains passing during the day and before the last train at night (similar to a subway entering a station). If you're a light sleeper, I'd suggest asking the front desk for earplugs (they're free in the lobby) or trying to get an inner-facing room. Personally, I found the noise acceptable, and it even added a bit of a ”train enthusiast” charm.
Summary: If convenient transportation and excellent cleanliness are priorities for you, this is definitely one of the top choices for accommodation in Yokohama. I would stay here again on my next visit!

Llxdee_2486Great budget stay for the solo traveler! The place was always thoroughly clean and staff were friendly and helpful.
It took some getting used to since it was my first time staying at a capsule hotel. For instance, no outside shoes in the capsule area: disposable slippers are provided once you arrive, so switch to those affter putting down your luggage. If you need an extra pair, you can grab one at the front desk. Also, your locker key has a QR code attached, so that you can scan to enter the capsule, locker, and shower areas. I kept forgetting to walk with it just going to the locker room, which you need the QR code to access! Thankfully, other guests would open the door for me since we shared the same space.
One thing to note is the cleaning time between 11 AM and 3 PM: the capsules are unusable since they change the sheets, make the beds, etc., so it's best to be out in the city exploring or down in the lobby. Any bottles you leave in front of your capsule might be considered trash when they clean, so if you want to keep your drinks, keep them in the locker.
If you have several personal items on your bed inside the capsule, depending on what it is, they may not enter to change the bedding, etc. so keep that in mind. They also provide sleepwear, disposable toothbrush and mini toothpaste, bath and hand/face towels in a small bag that they replace each day! There are proper places to return used sleepwear and towels (large laundry bags are clearly marked), same with trash disposal.
There is a shower area with separate stalls. Many people tend to shower at night, so if you don't want to wait, it's best to shower before the cleaning time in the morning, or before 10 PM. Some girls would shower (and sometimes wash their hair), so it's common for many people to be in the showers late at night, even after midnight! Thankfully, there are small couches in this area, so no need to stand and wait.
Also, the lockers are a bit tiny and narrow (see pic with disposable slippers), but I assume they are the standard for capsule hotels. They are the main storage for small items; luggage (like suitcases) is stored in an adjacent room.
All in all, I would stay there again! Very close to Yokohama station, there are several restaurants, a few Family Marts and a Lawson's are within walking distance, as well as a mall called VIVRE with about 8 floors to browse.

The room space was decent, with a separate wet and dry area, and even a dedicated desk area. The overall space was quite large. The facilities were average, but overall it was a good stay.
