Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel and Towers

Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel and Towers

Yokohama|3.03km from downtown
We booked a Standard Double Room and were upgraded to a Club King as Bonvoy Platinum members. Our first impressions of the hotel were big, beautiful, convenient, but with minimal and stingy service. The Club King room was very nice, modern, quite large with a sofa and desk, and spacious bath. And very clean with lots of amenities. Bed was excellent. Location is very good with direct access to the station, shops, restaurants, and Takashimaya Department Store. Platinum Elite members can check in at the Club Lounge. The lounge is not too large, and I imagine it being very busy on weekends or holidays. Refreshments throughout the day are extremely minimal, just drinks and very light snacks like cookies and crackers (I would definitely not describe this as ”afternoon hors d’oeuvres” as stated on their website). The evening cocktail service is a bit more expansive with salad, 4-5 hot dishes, and dessert. I requested something vegetarian as there was nothing besides salad, and they were able to prepare a steamed vegetable plate and tiny fruit plate which were delicious but not filling, and nothing compared to the regular options available. When asked if it might be possible to prepare a main dish (something with more carbs), I was told they could either give me plain white rice or plain penne pasta with no sauce, I was told to add salt and pepper for flavor. Seriously? Would anyone feel pleased with such an offering? I obviously refused, and was left with a bitter feeling for the rest of our stay. Note that this property does not acknowledge the Marriott Platinum “Guaranteed 4 p.m. Late Checkout” benefit. We stayed on a Sunday, checking out the following Monday (not a holiday, and definitely not a peak day) but were denied late check out, only given 1:00. For a previous reservation, once again checking out on a non-peak Monday, we were also completely denied late check out (only standard 12:00 check out). To the Management of the Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers, I have a simple question, do you offer 4 p.m. late check-out to your Platinum Members? This is a major deciding factor for Platinum Members in choosing your hotel. Breakfast was not available in the Club Lounge, but in the buffet restaurant Compass. (Another clear indication that the Club Floor was not very busy, so why no late check out?) Breakfast here was nice, not an expansive selection, but a decent selection of both Japanese and Western dishes (but few or no vegetarian options). The orange juicer machine was especially good. Overall, this is a very nice hotel, but it does not feel like a Sheraton property as they deny Bonvoy Elite benefits when they see fit, and the service is not that of an international hotel. Elite Members are not treated as such. It feels more like a Japanese hotel that’s a step or two behind international standards. I really hope things improve as the hotel itself is very nice and we’d like to visit Yokohama again soon.

It’s been over a year since our family of four travelled to Yokohama due to COVID. We were quite impressed with the lobby and friendly service upon arrival. Check-in at 2pm is nice and allows time to check out the city and eat your way through Chinatown (couple minutes walk!). It was our children’s nap time so we got settled into the room. In Japan there are hotels at which the a/c only blows warm/hot air during the winter months. We’ve been through this once before at a hotel in Karuizawa and had a horrible night’s sleep. After almost 2 hours of not being able to nap and the kids getting cranky due to the heated stuffiness of the room, we decided to just check out, cut our trip short to return home, and likely eat the cost of the room. However upon hearing of our wish to check out, the front desk was more than accommodating and offered two separate rooms to choose from - both with actual cool air conditioning. Deputy Director Mr. Takaki Seto especially was beyond helpful and understanding of the need for our two small children to be comfortable. The new room was perfect and the a/c worked great. After the nice stay on the day of check-out, we were about to leave our room, but my wife discovered she had misplaced a very important sentimental ring. We spent an hour looking in the room for it to no avail. Our son had the brilliant idea to check the other room we were in for the two hours the day before. Mr. Takaki Seto not only let us back in the room but personally helped us search for 20 minutes. When we couldn’t find it, he called the front desk to check if the cleaning staff had found anything. They had! Only in Japan. The irreplaceable ring was returned. We gave our effusive apologies to Mr. Takaki Seto for his troubles yet he apologized for our worry. His kindness was amazing and we thank him again. Can’t say enough great things about the quality of hotel and the superb location. More importantly, the staff went well above and beyond. 5/5 and would definitely recommend!

It is just opened in 6/5 and is clean in the hotel building and in the room. Access is a few minutes from Shin Takashima Station of Minato Mirai Line. I think it is based on the person, but if you walk from the east exit of JR Yokohama station to Nissan headquarters building, it is a hotel in another block, so there is a choice here if it is not painful to walk. 1F Enter the hotel entrance and the front desk is 9F so it is in the elevator. I'm currently staying here. There are two female staff members who work from day to night. One is a calm and nice person, and the other is a strong-willed person. This strong-willed person said very unpleasant things to me. People talk about abusive language being unacceptable, but I think the opposite is also true.I was forced to move rooms due to a problem with the TV, but when I asked about the TV, I was told, ``Even if I asked about the equipment!!'' If that's the case, then who should I tell? It's normal for the front desk to answer the customer's questions. If you don't understand, there's more you can say. Then, they said, ``If you're dissatisfied, please come tomorrow!!'' This means that I should tell someone else.Even though I was just asking a question, I was told in a very harsh tone, and I was also told, ``I said that because it seems like you were dissatisfied with it!Did I use a bad choice of words?!'' I have an attitude of not giving in. It's true that people become impatient as they get older. I'm not suited for front office work. It's a service industry. I don't need excessive service, but I would like them to do the bare minimum of front office work. When I asked her, ``Has anyone ever said anything to you?'', she said, ``No, I haven't!!'' There's a difference between not being told and not being thought about. Don't you even understand that? I tried to contact the manager through the staff about this, but he said he couldn't contact me. I don't think there's a manager who can't be contacted, but... It's the first day of 4 consecutive nights, but it seems that this strong-willed person will be working tomorrow as well, so I decided to check it out. I'm thinking of going out. Maybe I don't have confidence in myself or I'm small. I feel like I'm barking so hard. I feel sorry for them. What's the point of doing that to a customer? I'll say it again: There's a difference between not being told and not being thought of! !

Inn Matsushima

It is small and old-fashioned, but the food is delicious as it is a Japanese style inn, and the specially ordered eel is exquisite. The rooms are retro but clean. The front desk was friendly and helpful. However, I was worried that the person in charge of serving the food at the dining hall didn't quite understand, and that every time I asked something, I went to the back to check. The temperature of the bath was just right, but it's not big, and when 5 people enter, there are guests occupying the hot bath, so it's hard to get in. It may be necessary to devise a sign not to do it.

You won't have any trouble sightseeing at a hotel located in Yokohama Chinatown. It's a great place to eat, drink and sleep. There are almost no people in Chinatown late at night, There are few streets and it is dark, so you need to be careful. I forgot something, and when I called on the day of check-out, they responded immediately and sent it to me by cash on delivery. Thank you very much for helping me. thank you very much. The photo is of mapo tofu that I ate in Chinatown.

■ View bus Luxury Ocean twin Bay View Room The room with a clean can has a large window and a balcony. The view from the room, the balcony is the bay bridge, the Ferris wheel is visible. The bathtub and shower room are separate 々, so you can take a bath time slowly. The night view of the Ferris wheel with the bathroom was also very beautiful. Breakfast is surrounded by palm trees and a buffet style restaurant with a southern atmosphere. There were many items and it was delicious. This time, the prefectural people were applied and we were able to stay at a reasonable price. The front desk staff was also very good. # Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu # Night View # Sakuragi Cho # Hetare Oji's travel repo

The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of the station and several iconic attractions. The lobby on the third floor is directly connected to the adjacent department store from 11:00-20:00, with abundant dining options. The hotel's own restaurant has a large glass wall with a great view, and it is also pleasant to have afternoon tea. The front desk staff can talk in English and kindly remind you of various matters. The window of the room faces Mount Fuji🗻. Although the bright lights of the port cannot be seen, it is still refreshing. The facilities and sanitation are well maintained, and the TV screen is large. The plum tea provided has a special taste, I really like it. It is a hotel worth recommending👍.

First of all, when I was taking a picture at the fashionable entrance, the staff asked me, ”Let's take a picture,” and I was happy to be able to take a picture of the couple. I stayed in a double room. It wasn't a corner room, but it was comfortable with two large windows and a small but bright and open atmosphere. There was all the electric switches on the head of the bed, and it was comfortable to operate while lying down. I enjoyed using the service of making my own bath salts and the service that I could borrow books and read in my room. I was worried if the ventilation fan in the bathroom was weak and the LED lights bordered by the mirror in the room disappeared immediately. I wondered if I could be satisfied so far at a very cheap price. I will use it again when I stay in Yokohama. Thank you very much!
