Location is excellent, right off the square overlooking the cathedral right in the heart of Aachen. Room was nice and large. There was no personal service, didn't see a member of staff at all. we knew a cleaner had been but thats it. Needs modernising. No aircon, small fan was provided but it did not do much to help. No usb socketed power to charge phones near bed. Beds were very comfortable but needs extra pillows. bathroom was excellent.

The Hotel staff were excellent and really friendly, professional and really great service in every aspect. The Hotel website says it has a Restaurant which is why I booked it as I didn’t want to go anywhere else. Unfortunately this is not the case, I was told there are no Restaurant facilities due to the lack of a cook. The Bar offers Pizzas which was not particularly Good. Service though was excellent.

Around 12 or 3 AM, someone suddenly started talking very clearly and loudly by the window. I thought it was a thief and didn't dare sleep all night. Later, I thought it might be someone talking or smoking from upstairs or downstairs, or maybe it was a ghost. Also, the parking fee is 18 euros, not 9 euros, for the whole day. And the elevator from the underground parking lot to the hotel reception was broken, making it too difficult to carry my luggage.

The location for us travelling by train was excellent. It was just several minutes walk. For the price it was a good hotel. We enjoyed the breakfasts. I liked that they had coffee and tea out 24/7, you could buy other drinks and that glasses were provided. The reception staff members were very helpful. The only downside was that we got put on the top floor where there was no elevator so we had to take our suitcases up some stairs.
