GGuest UserFrom the moment I arrived they tried to accommodate me as I was early. I was given a refreshing drink and my luggage was stored while my room was being readied. I had some food and drinks at the bar. The staff were lovely and remembered me the next day! I was given keys to the outdoor facilities so was able to use the pool and spa if I wanted. They txt when the room was ready. It was an end room which overlooked the water and ocean. It was beautifully presented and the toiletries were a good size and smelt lovely. I loved the upgrades they had done to the hotel as I have stayed there previously. I ordered dinner from the in room dining, but the internet service was very slow so I had to go to reception to order. The servings were great and the food was delicious. My reservation included breakfast which was plentiful and fresh. I really enjoyed my stay, which was over too quickly!

GGuest UserWe booked The Langham on the Gold Coast for our honeymoon. It is a nice hotel but I can honestly say it is not worth the over $550 per night we paid. I’ve listed positives and negatives below: Positives: - there was a nice note and small chocolate slice in the room wishing us a lovely honeymoon - Staff are very friendly/welcoming - Ocean view was amazing from the hotel room - facilities - gymnasium was fully equipped with a view of the ocean/beach - Bathtub was lovely - Easy access to the beach Negatives: - There were stains on the sheets. When we arrived I noticed two stains in separate places on the sheets (note: they were dry stains). I went down to reception and they said they’d send housekeeping up to change the sheets. As advised, a woman arrived to change the sheets. Unfortunately, I didn’t check the new sheets and there were stains on those as well. I went back down to reception and they said they’d send a supervisor up again to look at the sheets. Two staff came to the room, apologised and changed the sheets again (this time I checked). The hotel gave us a bottle of wine, some lip balm and pillow spray which was a nice gesture as an apology, however, multiple stained sheets for what is meant to be a 5 star hotel is very disappointing. - The pre-authorisation amount (hold) when checking in is $200 a day, so $1,000 for a 5 night stay. This is ridiculously high. I don’t know why they hold that much considering most hotels, even 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in, hold $100-200 for a stay. On a positive note it did come back into my account straight away at check-out

GGuest UserHaving visited the Gold Coast many times, our first stay at Q1 this time was exceptional. Our 59th-floor ocean-view suite with dual city vistas was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered breathtaking panoramas. The check-in staff were courteous and efficient, and our children loved the swimming pool and spa. We were all reluctant to depart.

GGuest UserWe loved the location of this hotel. Close enough to the main strip to enjoy everything Surfers Paradise has to offer, but far enough away to avoid the constant noise, crowds, and parking chaos. The main area was extremely busy, so we quickly discovered that e-bikes were the best way to get around. Surfers Paradise itself was great: lively atmosphere, plenty of activity, shops open late, great food options, and lots of buskers. We booked a two-bedroom apartment with a sea view, and it absolutely delivered in terms of view and location. The hotel facilities were excellent — indoor and outdoor pools, spa, sauna, steam room, gym, and tennis courts. Our teenagers especially enjoyed making the most of all these amenities. However, there were some significant issues that impacted our stay. We were in apartment 26B and had no air-conditioning for the entire six-day stay, which was very difficult given it was summer. We also didn’t realise that reception is only staffed for limited hours. When we called early in the day and again around 4pm, no one was available. We eventually managed to speak to someone on day two or three, and the hotel manager came to assist, but unfortunately there was little he could do. We were told the compressor was likely failing, meaning the air-conditioning could not be used at all. It was frustrating to be sold a five-night stay knowing the apartment was not in full working order. Cleanliness was another concern. The floors throughout the apartment were sticky and grimy, with the kitchen floor feeling particularly oily and unclean. One of our sons found the couch sticky to the touch, and there was hair present in the bathroom which was disappointing. While we genuinely loved the hotel, its grounds, and its facilities, there is clear room for improvement in both cleanliness standards and customer service. Additionally, we encountered an unpleasant interaction with a long-term resident who complained about our children playing in the pool with a small rubber ball, claiming it was against the rules, despite other children—including her own—jumping into the pool. Given it was the school holidays and many families were using the facilities appropriately, the complaint felt unreasonable. It was also mentioned to us that lower-floor residents occasionally complain about noise from pool users, which may be an ongoing issue when short-term stays are accommodated. Overall, the property has great potential, but improvements in maintenance, cleanliness, and guest communication would significantly enhance the experience.

GGuest UserSurfers Beach Holiday Apartments was a great place to stay for our family. The management was helpful. Rooms were of a good size. The location is quiet. It is a easy walk to catch the G:tram. This makes getting to Surfers Paradise or other locations easy. Riding the G is also much cheaper and easier than trying to find parking for the car. While we were there, there were few people using the pool. Our grandkids had a great time... and mostly had the pool to themselves. I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator.(My fault for not checking.) Being on the third floor normally wouldn't have been an issue. Because of health issues for one of our family members, it would have been easier if we had been on a lower floor. If I had contacted the management when booking they said they would have tried to give us a lower floor. It's a great place and I highly recommend it.

MMelzza23Unfortunately we did not have a great stay. We booked 3 apartments for a family vacation and all 3 had issues. All 3 apartments had faulty air cons. 1 air con didn’t work at all and also a toilet in that apartment didn’t work either. Also when we arrived, we found one of our carparks had a car parked in it and that 2 other guests were allocated the same Carpark as us. We all contacted the letting company and all guests were told to seek help from the apartment reception who then told us all to contact the letting company as they don’t deal with the private apartments and their carparks. So it was back and forth for hours, we even visited the office twice until the car was finally removed. In terms of the no aircon/ broken toilet room, we were told there was nothing the letting company could do about it as they only have 1 staff member on so we’d have to wait for the next day and that some of our cost would be refunded (We are still waiting). The next day, in the morning the staff member visited and said the aircon is broken and they’ll have to find another room so will get back to us. It was close to the letting company’s closing time and we hadn’t heard back so we followed up only to be told there’s no more rooms available and our family would have to make do with the fans. Our family members in the no aircon room got sick from the heat/ stuffiness even with the doors and windows open. The amenities - lagoon, gym and pool are awesome So it was really unfortunate we did not enjoy our stay due to the lack of upkeep of the apartments and the service.
