PowaluodichideguoThis newly opened downtown hotel, built in 2025, is a gem! It's just a 3-minute walk to Kunming Old Street, Shuncheng, and Jinma Biji Archway. Plus, there are tons of amazing food options nearby, making it the perfect base for any food-loving adventurer.
The entire room features smart controls, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. While the hairdryer isn't a Dyson, the Laifen is still excellent. We even received complimentary welcome fruit upon arrival, and the minibar is entirely free.
The concierge was proactive in helping with our luggage, and the views from our 28th-floor room, overlooking the city lights at night, were stunning. The 24-hour gym is a huge plus, allowing me to work out whenever I wanted – a truly thoughtful amenity.
Many star-rated hotels are still stuck with traditional satellite TV, so it was a delight to find that this one offers screen mirroring that works seamlessly. The smart entertainment system is a standout feature, and I give it a big thumbs up! (*≧∪≦)👍🏻
Now, let's talk about breakfast: The selection of Chinese and Western dishes is extensive, including many authentic Yunnan specialties. The rare pea flour, kumiss, five-color glutinous rice, and flower cakes were all outstanding and delicious. My only regret is not getting to try the Eggs Benedict – a slight disappointment.
The restaurant service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive, proactively guiding us to our table. They even offered coffee to go, cleared plates promptly, and provided warm and thorough service throughout. This truly enhanced my experience.
Justin Liu deserves a special mention for his proactive enthusiasm and prompt responses. Five stars!

Guest UserThis room was infested with mosquitoes. Mosquitoes and other bugs were crawling all over us while we slept. Apart from Joyce Wang at the front desk, who was excellent, the service from everyone else was truly disappointing. They kept passing the buck when I tried to address the mosquito problem. First, they said they'd switch our room, but after waiting half an hour with no update, I called again and was told it wasn't possible, and that was that. Only after I got really angry did they suggest the manager could arrange for us to pay to move to another hotel room. It was already past 11 PM – what's the point of moving then? While the hotel being fully booked might be true, it's no excuse for such poor service and attitude. Leaving guests in a bug-ridden room is unacceptable. I do not recommend staying here.

Our stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Changshui Airport far exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to customer service agent Xiao Yang, who provided attentive assistance via WeChat from airport pickup until check-in. As my elderly parents prefer plain food, she went above and beyond, coordinating with the restaurant multiple times to specially prepare meals that suited their taste, which made us feel incredibly welcome and comforted so far from home. The hotel environment was also a pleasant surprise; the hillside garden behind the hotel was lush and green. Even better, we were upgraded to a room with a view! The sight of the vibrant greenery outside our window was so relaxing. This trip was truly made wonderful by such thoughtful service.

Guangdonghuanxige-Facilities: The facilities are quite comprehensive, but the shower pressure is really low and the temperature is hard to control – it's either too cold or too hot. Other aspects are fine; there are plenty of places to hang clothes. No complimentary fruit or drinks, which the nearby Hilton Garden Inn does provide.
Hygiene: It's good, but there are no bin liners in the rubbish bins, which is very strange. I even specifically asked the front desk, and they said that's how it is. It feels a bit unsanitary; having a bin liner would be much more hygienic.
Environment: The surrounding area is still under construction, but since the hotel is on a higher floor, it's not affected. The hotel's decor is quite stylish and appealing.
Service: Overall, the service is prompt. However, I must complain about the breakfast. There was a severe shortage of seating, forcing guests to stand. For a hotel of this quality, such an embarrassing situation shouldn't occur. The dining experience was very unpleasant, even though the breakfast selection was varied and tasty.
