"During my 5 day stay here I; got salmonella, experienced horrible service, was put in a single bed room with a foldout sofa when we booked a beachfront villa. Mind you we are 5 people. Didn’t get any compensation for this. Also the food is bland, there’s a clear Dutch theme. For breakfast I got the wrong order almost every day. If I would summarise this stay I would say salmonella and not worth your money."

"My wife was hospitalised off our cruise ship in Bonaire, whilst she was getting treated I was booked into this hotel only a short walk from the hospital. Larimar the manager was the most helpful person you can imagine, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless and modern with a near silent a/c unit. The room had a balcony. The TV had many English channels and the WiFi was excellent. There is a free coffee tea machine in the foyer. This is a budget hotel with 5 star credentials. There is no restaurant at present but a cafe alongside is being refurbished and should open shortly. There is a large supermarket opposite. There is a modern lift as the hotel has two floors."

"The clean, modern 3-bedroom apartment was ideal for our group of three dive buddies — each of us had our own private room, with 2 full bathrooms plus a powder room, in-unit laundry, a full kitchen, and a large patio with both a couch and dining table. The space was genuinely enormous and beautifully appointed. Having the dive shop right on-site was incredibly convenient — you can’t beat rolling out of bed and being geared up in minutes. Highly recommend for groups of divers looking for comfort and convenience in one package."

It is studios and condos in a safe complex with a pool and tennis court.Many are private residential and it is very peaceful. "Stayed in one of the one-bedroom apartments at Aqua Viva suites while visiting for a a week's diving holiday with my son last October. The apartment was clean, spacious and well furnished for our needs. It also led onto its own terrace and there is a small pool located in the garden. They have a great diving package deal with VIP Diving located right next door which includes unlimited air and also came with a rental car for our entire stay. Great for getting to dive sites and generally getting around. The staff were very friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile for their customers. We accidentally left some things behind in our room at the end of our stay and they very kindly sent them home to us - brilliant service! If you're looking for somewhere to stay for your stay in Bonaire I would highly recommend Aqua Viva Suites"
