Delfins Beach Resort

I was very happy we decided to stay at Delfins Beach Resort. We stayed in one of the two-bedroom apartments. The main pool is very nice, with direct access to the bar. We typically skipped the buffet and got breakfast at Boertiek, which offered decent coffee, smoothies, yogurt parfaits, and pastries. For lunch or a casual dinner, the Beach Brasserie was excellent—I especially enjoyed the goat stew. And for a more formal dinner (by island standards), the Brass Boer was truly excellent—arguably the best restaurant on Bonaire—and we ate at many excellent restaurants during our weeklong visit.
Divi Flamingo Beach Resort

This was our third visit to Divi Flamingo Resort in the past 7 years. Each time we came we were part of a very large dive group. Our first visit 7 years ago was pleasant and there were no issues. Our second visit was in 2022 and a third of our dive group contracted COVID during our stay. We only got in 4 days of diving until the resort closed down diving for the last couple of days. Although we paid for 18 dives, we only got to dive 12 dives. We were not refunded for the dives we didn’t get to take. We just returned from our third trip with our dive group to Divi Flamingo. We were notified the check out time was 10 am which was ludicrous. On the day before we were to checkout, my husband and I spoke with the manager asking if we could possibly get a late room checkout because he had a virtual business call or could the manager arrange a room on the premises where he could take the call in a quiet environment. The manager told us we would have to pay an additional $25 per hour to stay in our room and he also said he could not tell us if any other meeting rooms were available at that time. It was quite disappointing the manager was not more helpful in my husband’s circumstance. Our dive group has been coming to Divi Flamingo with a large group sometimes 2x a year bringing in huge revenue to the resort, for the past 25 years! Being asked to pay $25 per hour for a late check out is extremely petty when the resort makes a lot of money off our large group. Additionally, some of the staff at the resort were extremely polite while others were very rude. On the third day when we checked in at breakfast, the hostess insisted we have our room key card information even though we were with our dive group. We had not been asked for this on the previous days. She berated us and told us we had to go back to the room and get it. She then said she would remember us the rest of our visit, but she didn’t and asked us for it everyday. Honestly, this third visit left us with the feeling we may not return to Divi Flamingo again with our dive group. Why would we when we could spend our money in other diving resorts who appreciate the visitors?
Hotel Islander Bonaire

The room is as beautiful as on the pictures, at an unbeatable location, it is clean, has the necessary amenities and the price is good for what you get.. It would be perfect, were it not for.... the VERY LOUD music at night.. it's not just the loud music and the off key singing of the visitors but the intense and repetitive vibrating of the bass on the window, bed and floor at 11 pm when you're trying to sleep. Contrary to another traveller's review, I HAD been warned, both from the review as by the check-in clerk that there would be music, but I didn't expect it to be this bad. I would imagine that a hotel that has taken so much care in its design would at least have taken the precaution of placing triple or quadruple glass for the windows if they're planning to actually continue receiving guests as well as continue playing music this loud. Pity of an otherwise well pretty and comfy room.
Tropical Divers Resort

We found our stay worth every penny and Tropical Inn really contributed to a wonderful week on Bonaire! Beforehand, we booked a few apartments, but after checking them out while we were in Kralendijk, we were so glad we chose this one. So what did we like? + We were picked up for free at the airport. + Tropical Inn is run by an extremely kind and helpful family. They are always there to help out with any issue you might have. + We stayed in an apartment and this was simply great. It was spacious, clean, with a nice, big veranda. The kitchen is inside and this turned out to be very practical, especially since we are traveling with autistic young child. The kitchen is complete as advertised. + Tropical Inn has its own dive center and it’s operated perfectly. We went on a dive with the owner and this was wonderful. Since we have a young child, we cannot dive together anymore. Tropical Inn was great in offering a dive trip that meets our needs. We did the diving in turns, so one of us could always watch our child. Not every dive center is willing to think along this way, so big plus for Tropical Inn! + There is a nice pool at Tropical Inn which our son loved! + The place has a tropical atmosphere, full of plants and trees like coconut/palm trees, tamarine trees etc. They even have aloe vera plants which were ideal to use since we got severely sunburned. Lots of lizards and iguanas as well. We totally loved them! It really had this tropical vibe which you hope to find when you visit an island like Bonaire! + The location is perfect! Just a few minutes away from the airport and on the edge of Kralendijk! It’s peaceful and right across the huge Van der Valk-resort, which can be entered and you can enjoy the beach and facilities from there. Supermarkets are a bit far walking, but when you’re in Bonaire it does not matter where you stay. You still have to walk if you don’t have a car to the supermarket as some of them like Warehouse and Van den Tweel are located in the heart of Kralendijk. + The wifi was ok and the television has Netflix and other Smart TV content - Our stay was too short!
