Zhongzhou International Shaolin Grand Hotel nestles at the foot of Songshan Mountain, sandwiched between the Taishi and Shaoshi mountain ranges. Built in accordance with five-diamond hotel standards, it is an upscale comprehensive resort themed on Shaolin Zen culture.
The hotel perfectly blends traditional Chinese aesthetics with Shaolin Zen culture, incorporating diverse cultural elements including Shaolin architecture, martial arts, traditional Chinese medicine, murals and sculptures. Adopting the philosophical wisdom of ancient China, it interprets and creates modern Zen aesthetics for hospitality spaces.
The property boasts extensive supporting facilities: an 860-square-meter multi-function conference hall, an 819-square-meter pillar-free grand banquet hall, 5 conference rooms of varying sizes, 10 upscale private dining rooms, a featured restaurant, a vegetarian restaurant, a Zen meditation hall and a lobby lounge, alongside well-equipped guest rooms. It can accommodate over 1,000 guests for dining and lodging, and host conferences for up to 1,200 participants. It serves as an ideal destination for family getaways, academic seminars, banquets, exhibitions, performances and various brand promotion events.
"The hotel is very close to Shaolin Temple. However, it's split into several buildings, which makes getting around quite inconvenient, especially on a rainy, windy, and cold day when you're lugging luggage and trying to get to building #3 with an umbrella. It's really, really inconvenient. You have to walk to building #1 to get in and out, or stand by the roadside in the cold wind waiting for a car. The hygiene was okay, but the room didn't even have a fridge or a smart toilet, which honestly makes it fall short compared to other hotels."
