This location is heaven on earth. Surrounded by mountains that take on the form of Buddha. You sit right in the palm of a blessed spot. It is family owned and they treat you like family while you are there. By far some of the kindest people you will meet on your trip. Food is fantastic and homemade. There is a rooftop spot you can relax at, have tea, and even enjoy your meal there. The Shaolin temple is just a short walk from the hotel, and the owners will offer to drive you every time. Make sure to stay here if you are in the area. You will not regret it.

Great homestay with friendly and serviceminded hosts The Dengfeng Youlu Homestay was a very nice experience and can be highly recommended. The rooms were very clean and modern. Spacious and with comfortable beds. The bathroom was also modern with nice amenities. The location is a little outside the city, but closer to the main attractions to Mount Song. So easy to reach with taxi. We found the location very good and convenient since we wanted to go to the scenic areas. We had breakfast included and found it very tasty and nice. It was plain and fresh and a nice selection of nutritious food before starting the day. The service was very good. The hosts didn’t speak much English, but we used translator apps so absolutely no problem for foreigners. The Dengfeng Youlu honestly has a nice compound with a Chinese garden. They also have a pool. It looks very comfy and cosy to sit and enjoy the garden, but we were there in beginning January so it was wintertime. The room we got had nice view of the garden and the mountains. We can for sure recommend this homestay and we think the reviews written so fare are very correct.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this homestay in Dengfeng. It was the highlight of our trip to the Shaolin Temple area! The Room: The room was incredibly spacious—way bigger than we expected! And it was very, very clean. Everything from the bedding to the bathroom was spotless and well-maintained. It felt like a home away from home. The Location: Absolutely fabulous. We were close to all the main sights, including the Shaolin Temple and Mount Song. It made getting around so easy, and there were great local restaurants just steps away. The Staff (The REAL Highlight): The staff were super, super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. But one moment truly touched our hearts. We were running late for breakfast and arrived just as they were about to clear everything. Even though there was still plenty of food left, we only ate a little because we felt bad keeping them waiting, and we quickly headed out. Just as we were about to leave, the owner came running after us with two packs of milk in her hands. She said, ”You didn't eat much breakfast, so please take this milk before you go.” It honestly melted our hearts. That small, thoughtful gesture showed just how much she truly cares about her guests. Final Verdict: If you're visiting Dengfeng, do yourself a favor and stay here. Spacious, spotless, perfectly located, and run by the warmest, most generous people. We will definitely be back!

Everything was amazing, the hotel was beautiful with an amazing view of the mountains. The staff was incredibly helpful and made our stay even better, especially Wang Jing who could speak English and helped us with translation. They even let us use the hot springs and pool after our checkout. The restaurant served delicious food at a very comfortable price. I stayed in a Mongolian type room and it was a great experience, very clean and confortable. I will definitely come back!

The room was well-equipped, new, and highly automated. The toiletries, towels, and slippers were all of good quality. The service was meticulous and attentive. It was close to the Leisure District, and the surrounding environment was quiet, comfortable, and just right.

The hotel is priced slightly on the higher side, likely due to its excellent views of the surrounding mountain range. If you're planning to visit the Shaolin Temple, the location is very convenient. Otherwise, it's a bit removed from the city center, and there isn't much within walking distance. One interesting feature is the martial arts school located next to the hotel. It was fascinating to catch glimpses of the students' training sessions, which added to the overall Shaolin experience. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We booked a room with a beautiful mountain view, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. We were able to purchase tickets for the Shaolin Kung Fu show directly through the front desk at the same price as elsewhere, with the added benefit of being able to choose our preferred seats. Overall, a comfortable stay and a good choice for visitors planning to explore the Shaolin Temple area.

The owners are incredibly welcoming and friendly. They do everything possible to make you feel welcome. The room was wonderful and clean. What a lovely place to stay in Dengfeng! I would absolutely stay here again!

This hotel offers excellent value for money. It's clean, well-maintained, and has great facilities. Parking is convenient, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. If you're visiting Mount Song, this is definitely the top choice.

It doesn't seem feasible to reach the hotel by public transport, so having a car is necessary. Accessing the hotel entrance on foot involves climbing a flight of stairs from ground level. Once inside, guests must take the lift to reach the reception on level 6 for check-in. Luggage loading can be managed in carpark B1, and this requires the hotel to open the gate for vehicle access. In terms of service, the hotel staff were attentive and provided good service. They efficiently dried my son's and my sports shoes overnight, saving us from having to travel in wet footwear the next day. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was delivered to our room. We were able to enjoy it on our small balcony, which was a delightful touch. The breakfast was both healthy and delicious.

The room is quite small, but it has all the essential amenities. The only downside is that the projector did not work well for watching movies or other content. - Service: The staff seemed rather indifferent and not particularly welcoming. Since I only stayed for two nights, it did not affect my trip too much. --＞ Overall, considering the price and the fact that this is a fairly large hotel, I expected a higher standard of service from the front desk staff. I hope the hotel will improve this aspect in the future.
