"This is one of the best hotels in the area. It's very close to the Grand Music Ceremony, Shaolin Temple, Songshan Scenic Area, and the city center – all just a ten-minute drive away. The room was quiet, and I could see Mount Songshan. The service was also good. I didn't take any hotel photos, so I'll just use three pictures from the Songshan Scenic Area to fill in. A couple of final thoughts: staying here was great, but exploring the area is quite a workout for your legs!"

"This guesthouse is super close to Shaolin Temple, making it very convenient for getting around. The rooms are clean and tidy, and they even provided complimentary snacks and fruit. It's quiet at night, so we had a very comfortable stay. The landlady cooks herself, and her culinary skills are amazing! She even carefully asked about any dietary restrictions, which made me feel so warm inside. "I brought my parents to Dengfeng for a weekend trip to Mount Song, and after comparing several options, we chose Zhongzhou Huading Hotel. As soon as we entered, we were captivated by the hotel's traditional Chinese architectural style. It's a garden-style hotel that combines a restaurant and accommodation. Upon entering the lobby, a concierge immediately helped us with our luggage and directed us to the front desk for check-in. Ms. Jiao Luyu at the front desk assisted us, providing smiling service throughout. She answered all our questions, helped coordinate our rooms, and processed everything quickly and with a very friendly attitude. After dinner at the restaurant, we returned to our room, which offered views of the Songshan mountain range. Enjoying tea on the balcony was incredibly relaxing. "I'm a clean freak, so I stayed at the Hanting Hotel. Haha, Hanting's hygiene is definitely top-notch; it was spotless inside and out. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and in addition to the two bottles of drinking water in the room, they also gave me two complimentary bottles of hot water every day. Very convenient, it's a six-minute walk from the bus station, and taxis to several attractions are quick. Highly recommended! Unfortunately, I was too tired from hiking and forgot to take pictures when I got back. Oh, and the breakfast was very plentiful! Spicy soup, porridge, eggs, milk, cold dishes, hot dishes, fried eggs—lots of choices."

"The location is amazing and up until the last few hours we were very satisfied with our stay. They gave a free upgrade to their newly refurbished 4th floor and that room really was awesome. We were not aware they cooked dinner well so we are out but should have dined at the Homestay. Breakfast was very simple but satisfying. They provide a transfer to Shaolin in a super nice car and plenty of free water to take with you during the day. So far so good. Now perhaps we are lost in translation but we indicated having a ride to our next stop charging between 260 and 380 through the didi app. Waaayyyy to expensive they said and offered to call a cab. The cab however was 445, a much higher rate. All rates included the toll. We asked about the type of car and were shown a luxury car. That car and that price were similar to didi premier so we said okay. Then they said it would take half an hour. We didn’t want that so said we would just go for the didi. They then said the taxi would be there faster. As you may guess; it was not. We ended up waiting well over half an hour and the taxi was a regular taxi. They ride was good, driver friendly etc but we felt a bit off about the way this went down. Again: could be lost in translation here so if you just arrange your own ride you will have an awesome stay with them. Ask for the nice room on floor 4! Picture is the view from our room."

GGuest UserThe hotels and B&Bs are very good, with a variety of breakfasts, two bathrooms, one living room, one bedroom, two projectors, two Xiaodu, and a bathtub and smart toilet, for just over a hundred yuan! I wonder if I'll lose money 😅. I've stayed here many times and I'm very satisfied and a little embarrassed. Last time, my dog broke the art light wire that the store had matched. This time, it almost broke again, leaving a few tooth marks. I'm really sorry. In summary, the store's room number and service are great, thumbs up

GGuest UserAll in all we are quite satisfied with our short stay. We haven't used any of the hotel amenities like swimming pool or restaurant, so it's impossible to comment upon them. However, we'd like to say thank you to the stuff that is available any time. It turned out that one faucet didn't work properly and we only found it out at around 11 p.m. We called service number and the problem was solved within 10 minutes. One more pleasant thing is the pillow menu) The beds are generally very comfortable (unlike in many other Chinese hotels), but you still can choose an orthopedic pillow to your liking. That was very nice! Location is good (around 15 min to the mountain park entrance and to the bus station).
Unfortunately, we are not very happy with the view. (It was a mountain view room). Yes, we saw a pagoda and the mountains, but also the construction site right below our windows. Workes started their day at around 7 a.m., which was clearly heard in our room. In addition, there's some soft music constantly playing in the corridor. Definitely not for those who are sensitive to extra sounds.

JJinyi ZhuI highly recommend this hotel when staying in Wulingyuan. It's very close to the east gate entrance and our room was clean and tidy. There is an option to do laundry at the hotel for free, which is very convenient. In the surrounding area you will find plenty of supermarkets and places to eat as well. The owners are super kind and helpful when it comes to booking tickets for the National park or any other question you might have. They are very knowledgeable about the different attractions and can also offer cheaper tickets if you have not purchased them yet.

Everything in the large room looked very new, are maintained in an excellent condition, the bathroom is huge.
There is a shopping center nearby, with good restaurants and a supermarket inside.
The owner of the homestay is very friendly and helpful, willing to provide information and suggestions on tours and transportations.
Definitely will choose this homestay if I visit the city again.

Uun_guillouVery familial guesthouse as close as it can be from Shaolin Monastery. The owners cook good food and can drive you everywhere for a price. The wife is a guide, so she's very resourceful about what to see and do in the area. The husband's brother is a Shaolin monk so you can speak about kung-fu with him. We had a little misunderstanding at the beginning as I had booked a room with a mountain view and the one prepared had no window to the outside but I was able to change rooms. With their help I was able to hike everywher on the beautiful mountains around as I was less interested in kung-fu than the scenery.

GGuest UserVery friendly and helpful staff. One person spoke some English which made things a little easier for me. It's a quick taxi ride to Songshan. It's not really in a location to walk to places so I think it's best if you have your own car. The taxi driver and 'other' drivers do like to overcharge tourists. Getting off at the bus station and being harassed by drivers was unpleasant and gave Dengfeng a bad feeling. There is no train so unless you have a car, you'll also have this unpleasant experience. Dengfeng is quite nice just the welcome is unfortunate. The hotel staff were wonderful, and the room was spacious. I loved the little table by the window, very pleasant. The restaurant across from the parking lot has tasty food and very reasonable priced.

The Dengfeng Youlu Homestay was a very nice experience and can be highly recommended.
The rooms were very clean and modern. Spacious and with comfortable beds. The bathroom was also modern with nice amenities.
The location is a little outside the city, but closer to the main attractions to Mount Song. So easy to reach with taxi. We found the location very good and convenient since we wanted to go to the scenic areas.
We had breakfast included and found it very tasty and nice. It was plain and fresh and a nice selection of nutritious food before starting the day.
The service was very good. The hosts didn’t speak much English, but we used translator apps so absolutely no problem for foreigners.
The Dengfeng Youlu honestly has a nice compound with a Chinese garden. They also have a pool. It looks very comfy and cosy to sit and enjoy the garden, but we were there in beginning January so it was wintertime. The room we got had nice view of the garden and the mountains.
We can for sure recommend this homestay and we think the reviews written so fare are very correct.
