Hotels with WiFi in Apia

"I had a pleasant stay at Sheraton Samoa Aggie Grey’s. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout my visit. The breakfast buffet also offered a great variety, making for a lovely start to each day. The only downside was finding several cockroaches in my room, which unfortunately took away from an otherwise enjoyable experience. I hope this is something the hotel addresses, as the service and facilities have the potential to make for an excellent stay."

"It is just about 500 meters from the ACC market and about 900 meters from the main Savalalo market. So, location is good. The setup of the hotel is nice. It has a Ruby's burger shop within the premises, but it was closed on Sunday. Room was neat & clean with aircon and fan. 4 pillows, 2 towels, 2 blankets, 4 coffee shacets (3-in-1 mix), a kettle, and a small fridge, all these add up to great facilities inside the room. The receptionist Oma is a friendly lady and can help you with some information & cab booking requests."

"I arrived at 2am from a late flight and checked in. The room looked relatively clean but there was an ambient smell of sweat/BO. I went to have a shower and at 2:30 discovered that the hot water barely worked. I was there 2 more nights and the hot water worked then, so maybe they switch it off or turn it down late at night but either way it’s something to be aware of. When I went to sleep I discovered that the ambient smell was coming from the pillows. They smelled absolutely disgusting. I had to put a polyester swimming shirt over the one I was using to block the smell out. This meant I could no longer use that shirt because it was soiled. When the housekeeping came to make up my room the next day, they took away the used towels and did not replace them. I was staying in a room meant for 2 people but I was only 1 person so maybe that’s why they felt justified in only giving me half as many towels. I called the front desk to see if I could get more and they seemed really reluctant to give me more. They said we will pass it on to housekeeping who will pass it onto laundry who might be able to give me more towels. When I asked how long that would take they wouldn’t say. They eventually gave me one more floor towel, and no extra bath towels as I had requested. This was disappointing. Lastly, there were a few small flies in the bathroom, and the breakfast was decent but not exceptional. I am not sure what other hotels in Samoa are like, but this one was not very good. I was unaware before arriving how hot and humid it is, and it is unsurprising that previous guests would return to their rooms extremely sweaty after being outside, however more needs to be done to address the effects of this. The pillows and bed linens need to be thrown away and replaced much more frequently. The location is excellent, being close to town, but I would try to go elsewhere next time. I did see lizards and a giant crab around the grounds though which I liked. It does seem that this hotel is really popular with other foreigners such as sports people, flight attendants, and retired couples, so perhaps my experience was an outlier. Yours may be different, but mine was not ideal."

"The owner and staff were amazing and it’s a wonderful simple concept for people who tour around the beautiful island and have a place to rest! The only little concern was the noise from the car wash next door. Overall the owner and staff were welcoming and hospitable!!! Thank you for being a wonderful host, excellent!!!"

"Lava was amazing! From the staff to the quality of the rooms … The location was also a bonus! Would 100000% recommend 🙌🏽"

"The staff was so friendly and humble. Even though there were small concerns, with their polite manner, they immediately fixed them making our stay pleasant and cozy."

"Great amenities, friendly staff, although our stay was short, we had everything we needed and were very accommodating🙏💯 would absolutely recommend👌🏻 thank you Moatoga🙏"

"The hotel is well-located, about a 5-minute drive from the city center. It's a modern hotel, but the soundproofing in the room isn't great."

"The fale has a mosquito net with a few holes, so it's okay, but there are lots of mosquitoes by the pool and in the lobby. Be sure to take precautions against mosquitoes. Dengue fever is prevalent in Samoa, and I contracted it."

"It’s a average place, restaurants was okay, looks like it’s still trying to find its place, except more from this place as its been open for just about 12mouths now, hard to get food apart from the restaurant there, that’s very big but empty 🧐 needs a lot more hospitality experience in staffing, its cheap but can do a lot better"
