Taumeasina Island Resort ★★★★
"We loved staying here, pool, food and location was outstanding, however there was a few things that they could work on. Twin room we stayed in had no room for our suitcases, Toilets behind reception need attention throughout the day. I had to pay my lunch tab 3 times. 1 - shift was ending, 2 - my waiter was finishing his shift and lastly at the end of our lunch. This was annoying I had to use eftpos 3 times for one sitting. Seafood Buffet was very disappointing but Fia Fia buffet great."
The White House Hotel ★★
"The female receptionist on duty was incredibly rude. My flight landed at 1:10 AM, and since there was nowhere to rest at the airport, I had no choice but to take a taxi to this hotel I had booked. My intention was: first, to see if I could pay extra to use an empty room for a few hours of rest before the official check-in time; second, if no room was available, I was willing to rest on the lobby sofa, leave my luggage at the hotel once it was bright, go out for a while, and then return for check-in at the designated time. The outcome was: after I explained my situation, this female staff member very impatiently said there were no empty rooms and that resting on the lobby sofa was absolutely not allowed. She told me I had to leave the lobby immediately, as it was hotel policy, and that I could only rest on the outdoor chairs outside the hotel entrance. No matter how much I pleaded, she refused and forcibly evicted me from the lobby. I was left stranded outside the hotel at 2:30 AM. After a brief walk around when it got light, I returned to the hotel lobby reception at around 12 PM. It was still the same staff member who had handled my previous encounter. She told me that checking in now would incur an additional US$50, because the hotel's official check-in time was between 2 PM and 8 PM. This was clearly an attempt to make things difficult for me, so I firmly refused. Seeing my resolute attitude, and with other guests starting to arrive for check-in, she reluctantly proceeded with my check-in. What I want to say now is: First, I don't know if this receptionist is the owner or an employee, but if she's the owner, she utterly lacks basic empathy, has such a poor character, and provides such terrible service. I question which guest would dare to stay at this hotel. Second, if this receptionist is an employee, it indicates serious problems with this hotel's education, management, and training. For an employee to treat a guest this way proves it's not an isolated incident, and what's even more frightening is that similar incidents could happen again. I ask, who would dare to stay at a hotel like this?!"
Sheraton Samoa Aggie Grey's Hotel & Bungalows ★★★★★
"We recently stayed at this hotel for three nights and, while there were aspects we truly enjoyed, our experience was unfortunately overshadowed by significant issues with the reservation and front desk process. Upon our arrival at 15:30 (check-in time is from 15:00), we were surprised to find that our online reservation couldn’t be found in their system—despite us having proof of the booking. We had to wait in the lobby for nearly an hour while the issue was being resolved. What is shown as available online appears to differ significantly from what is actually available on-site, which created ongoing problems throughout our stay. We had initially booked a room with a swimming pool view and private balcony. However, this room type was not available upon check-in. We were first offered a lower-category room with a mountain view, which we declined as we already paid online for higher-category, and were then moved to a room with a harbour view and private balcony. Although staff assured us that our originally booked room would be available the following day, we remained cautious and asked for confirmation, as we preferred to avoid the hassle of moving again unless necessary. Unfortunately, the following day we were asked to check out at 11:00 am because the room we were in had supposedly been booked by another guest, and we were told that a room matching our original booking (with pool view) was ready for us. However, when we returned the same day at 15:00 for check-in, we were assigned the same room we had vacated earlier—clearly indicating no other room had actually become available. On the third day, we faced a similar confusion with the rooms. Each day involved unnecessary packing and discussions with the front desk, which took up a lot of our time and energy. That said, the hotel does have its strengths. We really appreciated its convenient location, the beautifully designed restaurant interior, and especially the food—breakfast, in particular, was excellent. Overall, while the amenities and dining were enjoyable, the front desk and reservation experience significantly impacted our stay. We hope the hotel takes steps to improve its booking coordination and internal communication, as it has the potential to offer a much better guest experience."
Hotel Laimoa
"The hotel is well-located, about a 5-minute drive from the city center. It's a modern hotel, but the soundproofing in the room isn't great."
Tanoa Tusitala Hotel ★★★★
"The facility was clean and modern, but the shower didn't drain fully leaving a slippery puddle away from the drain hole. Housekeeping wasn't consistent. On separate occasions the mirror was left wet, the bins unemptied, the towel unchanged and the bed not made up properly. The programmable safe didn't open once locked, and the key card had to be reprogrammed to give access to the room. Once, while resting in my room in the early afternoon, someone tried to enter my room but the latch stopped them. I quickly checked outside, thinking it might have been housekeeping, but no one was there except someone - a burly obese island man in singlet, shorts and jandals - walking quickly around the corner. I believe it was another guest who'd somehow gained access to electronic access cards, and who was raiding other guest's rooms. It was after that incident that my key card failed to work, and I had to visit reception to get it reprogrammed. The staff were generally courteous and kind, but really only going through the motions to fulfil their role. No one stood out as loving the work they do. The egg station couldn't make poached egg. That had to come from the kitchen, and they had to boil the water first and it was an inordinately long wait. In a previous visit to Samoa, at a hotel in Savai'i, the egg station had a pan with simmering water for poached eggs, and they delivered poached eggs as quickly as any other style of egg. I visited other hotels for events around Apia on this visit. I'm now open to staying at other hotels after this visit."

Dave Parker Eco Lodge Hotel
"I am here with my family (10) Arrived after an early morning flight. Lolita was extremely welcoming and arranged breakfast for us all then we wrote off the morning with a catchup sleep. The view from the balconies is astounding and the tranquillity and peace is what we needed just after the craziness of packing and leaving home and all its responsibilities. We tripped around the area nearby as my father was from Aleisa. I now understand him and his ways so much better. Dave Parker Eco Lodge isn't fancy, it's had its hey day ... but it is quaint and tidy and for me ... perfectly Samoan! I loved my stay here. The service ... was so accommodating, helpful, kind and respectfully cute! We were cooked for and served by all young men. Very traditional and very lovely experience. Loved the cultural food on the menu!! This place has been great and any first time visitors to Samoa need this plantation feel experience! We are off now to a beachside resort which are common here, but you can't beat being up in the hills! "
Ifiele'Ele Plantation

Samoana Boutique Hotel
"The hotel is in a convenient location. They can help you call a taxi or rent a car. The room is spacious and clean. The service staff is warm and friendly. The only drawback is that the network in Samoa is not good, and the hotel's WIFI has never been connected."

"Elaine, who is the property manager, was very kind and helpful. I was here for six days & nights, and it was the most relaxed, comfortable air-conditioned place.
