"I was lucky to have great weather on the island with bright sunshine, so the photos turned out really beautiful. However, it felt more like a trendy B&B than a hotel. The breakfast was delicious, but dinner was just so-so (there's no 7-Eleven on the island, and it's inconvenient to go out, so if you don't want to eat at the hotel, you might want to bring some instant noodles; there are snacks in the room but they're all quite sweet). I wish the room was a bit bigger, and surprisingly, there were no complimentary toothbrushes. Even though I got a bargain price during the off-season, I'd feel it wasn't worth it if the price were any higher. I'd recommend the Mint Lotus hotel next door instead. 😂😂😂"

"The hotel staff is very friendly and willing to fulfil all the requests. Rooms were very clean and tidy, room service very good. Nice small gym, very nice big outdoor pool, practically on the beach. The only downside we experienced was reconstruction but it was not that bad. And we have just been”lucky” that it was during this period."

"As soon as I entered the door, I was amazed. Although it was far from the pier, I took a long tutu. It felt worth it. The front desk lady was also very good. I always used translation software to tell me what time to eat every day. How to travel. We rented a day of hotel motorcycles for 400 baht. You can compare it. Breakfast is delicious, you can order all kinds of eggs they make fresh, coffee can also be service-conscious, just eat breakfast a little early, otherwise it is easy to have no place. If the room is in the room, I want to say it is not bad because the bugs are really a bit more. I have never used the pool. The ants on the table in the room can't be eaten! "Best beach so far , no pool but understandable that the beach is perfect.  No welcome drink or impression over first time arriving ,not staff itself , I meant the view the office the entrance not attractive at all.  Breakfast was cold but nice Thai style. Many tourists , loads of Mosquitoes  , in my room can fits up to 3 people, funny that I can’t fall asleep because the air con made the weird noise all night until I switch off, I don’t like their hospitality but love the beach."

"The photos of the bungalows and the grounds on Trip.com are misleading. The entire area was overgrown with lots of leaves, and since we were there during the off-season, there was ongoing renovation with a cement mixer coming and going. The noise insulation at night was terrible; besides noisy neighbors, we could hear all sorts of wildlife – frogs, monitor lizards – it felt like they were about to crawl into our room. The room keys were amusing; they gave us an actual padlock with a key. On the plus side, the bay was nice and quiet, the sea was clean and calm, and you could relax not just on the sand but also on a special lounging area, safe from flies. The breakfast was very impressive, with a wide variety of options. The hotel is very popular with Thais, and there were many of them around. It's perfectly fine for a one-night stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer duration. Overall, we were satisfied, thank you."

"Nice location, rooms are nice but the shower curtain was filthy but staff changed it when we requested, WiFi is slow. Staff are friendly, only downside I’d say is the breakfast is below average the coffee is horrible especially for the price one pays for a night, no bacon available for breakfast."

"This is my second time staying at Mira Montra. The bay and the view are magnificent, and the hotel lives up to what you'd expect from a high-end establishment on Koh Mak. However, I'm always surprised by the hotel's rigid management. The first time, I had an incredibly difficult time changing my stay dates, even though war had just broken out with the neighboring country. And this time, I was unable to upgrade my room, even though a Luxury villa was still available. Their reservation service is practically unmanageable. Finally, while the food isn't bad, it doesn't quite match the hotel's standing."

"We stayed from April 11-13, 2069. I want to leave a review for anyone considering staying here, sharing my perspective on our experience in a family villa. What I'd like the hotel to improve… the staff's service. The front desk is the first point of contact for guests. We arrived as the only party, with no other guests. The staff checked us in, explained the information, and escorted us to our room, but they weren't very welcoming. Their tone of voice and demeanor made us feel unwelcome and that they were reluctant to serve. (We tried to tell ourselves it might just be the local custom). In the evening, we chose to eat at the hotel's beachfront restaurant. We ordered four dishes: seafood fried rice (which was good), pizza (decent, but no ketchup was provided – we had to ask for it), clear Tom Yum Goong soup (spicy enough, but the shrimp was tough and not fresh; we had to ask for a gel fuel burner to keep it warm, and there was no communal spoon. The staff stood by the service area, but when we called them, they ignored us, looking away and pretending not to hear, so we had to go and ask ourselves), and deep-fried barramundi with fish sauce (the inside of the fish wasn't cooked through. We asked for it to be re-fried, and it came back hard and burnt in some spots. We didn't complain further because we didn't want to feel worse). During check-out, we returned the key and waited for the staff for a while. They didn't say anything or inform us that they were having housekeeping check the room and would let us know once it was ready. There was no communication. So, we told them we were going to the restaurant and would be back for our ride at this spot. When we returned, our car had arrived, but there was no communication from the staff, and no ”thank you” to the guests. (Perhaps it's because we're Thai and not foreign guests, so we received 3-star hotel service. I'm writing this because I want them to improve for future guests, as I don't think anyone wants to experience what we did. (On the way back, our car stopped to pick up guests from another hotel, and we saw staff standing there, seeing off guests and thanking them… which was completely different from Koh Kood Paradise. We paid 10,000 baht per night, and we understand the price during a festival, but the experience was not impressive at all.)… We plan to visit Koh Kood again, but we definitely won't be staying at Koh Kood Paradise. What we did find impressive here were the rooms and facilities, the private beachfront breakfast, and the beautiful sunset in the evening."
