Shantaa Resort, Kohkood

Our stay at this beach resort was absolutely amazing — easily one of the best resort experiences we’ve had in Thailand. The property itself is beautiful, spacious, and incredibly relaxing. The hotel is very large, yet it never feels crowded — you rarely see many people around, which creates that true private resort feeling you’re looking for on a vacation. The layout is also very well designed. There are separate spaces for everything — restaurants, pools, and even two dedicated coffee shops. Everything feels calm, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. What impressed us the most, was the service. From the moment you arrive, the experience is seamless. Staff warmly welcome you at the entrance, help with your luggage, and guide you through check-in while you are seated comfortably with a cold towel and a refreshing drink. Everything feels smooth and well-organized all the way to your room. At the restaurants, every time you arrive, you are greeted warmly, offered cold water, and taken care of attentively while ordering. Breakfast is another highlight — it is very rich and high quality. There is a full menu with a wide variety of options, including Western, Thai, and even some Asian choices, along with pancakes and more. Everything is fresh and well prepared.The coffee at the breakfast also deserves a special mention ,it was honestly some of the best coffee we’ve had in Thailand. Overall, this resort truly delivers a premium and relaxing experience in every detail. Highly recommended !!!

Nice hotel with good garden view but there is not sand beach. There is only rock beach.. The room is too small compared to the price. Good cafe with yummy mango sticky rice. The sea food is great with friendly staff. The food price is reasonable.

We loved this hotel. Beautiful location, great service, staff were very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was outstanding. Would highly recommend!

First stay at Shantaa Resort, Koh Kood, and it was genuinely one of the most peaceful and memorable resort experiences I’ve had in Thailand. The entire property has a calm, thoughtful atmosphere without feeling forced or overly commercialised. What stood out most was the staff and their attention to detail. Everyone was warm, attentive, and quietly efficient in a way that made the stay feel effortless. The food was excellent throughout the trip, easily some of the best resort food I’ve had on an island stay, which is rare because many resorts seem to believe the ocean view is a substitute for seasoning. The rooms, landscaping, and overall environment blend beautifully with the natural surroundings, and the resort manages to feel private and relaxing without sacrificing comfort. A wonderful place to properly slow down for a few days. Would happily return.

We have just spent a wonderful 5 days here and it was a blissfully peaceful and tranquil stay. At first we were a little unsure about how remote and cut off it seemed but within a very short time, we had completely forgotten about the outside world. Shantaa resort had everything you could need for a truly relaxing stay. The villas are super comfortable, spotlessly clean and set in lovely gardens which roll down to the sea. The bathroom is an outdoor room which has its own pretty little tropical garden feature. Everything is tastefully furnished, the beds are very comfortable and everything is kept lovely and clean. The outside terrace has beanbag sofas which are great for lounging on. The pool area is great, nice beds and plenty of towels and bottled water available. The restaurant serves an à la carte breakfast which was really lovely. A lot of thought and effort goes into how the food and drink is made and presented. There is an extensive dinner menu and all the meals we took were of an excellent standard and really very inexpensive. The cafe, which has a lovely setting by the sea, serves lunches and drinks throughout the day and everything we ordered was super fresh and of a very high standard. All in all, a wonderful stay, we felt we had been on a health retreat!
