"The hotel is beautiful, clean, the location is excellent, and breakfast is good. However, all of this is overshadowed by the subpar service. Check-in was incredibly slow; our room wasn't ready by 3 PM, so we went out. We returned at 9 PM and still had to wait about 40 minutes to check in, which was far from pleasant, especially since we were tired. There were 10 people at the reception desk, milling about, chatting amongst themselves, and pretending to be busy, resulting in a queue for check-in that moved at a snail's pace. Ultimately, they upgraded our room as an apology, but the negative impression lingered. If these issues don't bother you, I still recommend the hotel."

"The staff were kind and helped carry our heavy luggage to our room. There's a rooftop terrace with a view of Tangier, which was a beautiful sight. The location is great, but it's also lively and noisy until late at night, and although the room is clean, it's old, so the humidity doesn't dissipate easily after showering, which was a bit of a drawback. However, it wasn't a major problem."

"The reception staff were truly amazing warm, friendly, and incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. I had quietly asked a room with decoration as we are just gotten married, and she handled it so beautifully. What made it even more special was how she kept it a sweet surprise, letting me know she’d take care of everything without my wife noticing. Such a thoughtful and memorable touch that made our stay even more meaningful."

"The hotel front desk had Chinese-speaking staff who were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and varied, and the breakfast manager always had a smile while assisting guests. The doorman also helped with luggage. As a Chinese guest, my stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend it. I especially recommend booking a sea-view room; waking up to the ocean view every day really boosts your mood. This is definitely Tangier's top-ranked and best hotel. Full marks to the front desk staff who studied in Shanghai and speak Chinese."

"The location of the Ibis hotel was really convenient, and the room was comfortable enough for a few days’ stay. The amenities were quite basic though — just shampoo and a towel — but overall it worked fine for a short trip."

"I've stayed at the Occidental multiple times before and have always been very satisfied. I was so impressed with my previous stays that I recommended the hotel to friends. So, my disappointment this time was even greater. For two people, we received a very small and old room that was not at all comfortable. When we arrived, there were no towels in the room, neither hand towels nor bath towels. We called reception and waited over 30 minutes, but nothing came. Eventually, I had to firmly speak to the cleaning staff in the hallway just to get any towels. The next day, the same thing happened again. There was only one bath towel for two people. We called reception again and asked for another towel, but it was never brought. It's absolutely unacceptable to me that basic things don't work in a hotel and that no solution is provided despite multiple complaints. Additionally, it was barely possible to sleep until late at night due to loud conversations and disturbing noise from the neighboring rooms and the hallway. On our last night, we had to leave for the airport at 1:30 AM. Due to the persistent noise, we practically couldn't sleep at all and started our entire journey completely exhausted. Precisely because I used to value the Occidental so much, this stay particularly disappointed me. The service was at a shockingly low level. My trust has been permanently damaged. Under these circumstances, I can no longer wholeheartedly recommend the hotel."

"Facilities: This hotel offers a small suite with a kitchen, living room, dining area, and bedroom, making it perfect for independent travelers. It's especially great given the poor food hygiene quality in Africa, as you can cook your own meals and avoid a lot of worry. It comes equipped with dishes, cutlery, pots, a fridge, microwave, and kettle. The hotel is quite new and has two TVs, though they aren't smart TVs so you can't cast to them. Disposable toiletries and slippers are not provided, but a large bottle of free water is. Cleanliness: Daily housekeeping is provided, and the hygiene conditions are good. Environment: It's a 2-minute walk to the train station, which is very convenient if you plan to visit other cities. The airport shuttle stop is right outside, and bus stops for routes 14, 2, and i9 are just a 5-minute walk away. There's also a large shopping mall nearby with Burger King, KFC, and a big supermarket, making it very convenient. Overall, this hotel offers good value for money. Many of the guests are fellow countrymen, which provides a sense of security."

"The perfect location in Tangier. The staff will treat you like princes and princesses. Everything was just perfect. The room was spacious. I slept so well during these 3 nights. Loved it. A massive thanks to Othman, the reception Manager and his team. Highly highly recommended"

"Bright, amazing apartments! Gibraltar is within walking distance, and the staff are very polite. The room was clean and had a washing machine, toaster, kettle, and blender. Breakfast was a delicious and varied buffet. You can even watch YouTube on the TV. Highly recommend!"
