"The hotel is modern and comfortable, and overall it offers good value for money. The breakfast was decent, although tea was not provided by default—I had to ask for it, but it was fine once served. There were some minor difficulties, such as figuring out how to use the clothes dryer in the room. Also, most instructions were in Korean, which made things a bit confusing at times. However, the service was generally good, and despite a few inconveniences, I had a pleasant stay."

"There are many good restaurants around Gwanpyeong-dong and parking is convenient. It feels a little old, but it is clean. There is breakfast (paid) on the first floor, so it was good for hangover relief."

One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet. The selection was impressive, with both Korean and international options, all fresh and beautifully presented. It was the perfect way to start each day. The hotel’s location is another huge plus—quiet enough for restful nights, yet close to notable attractions, the Expo Park, and convenient transportation hubs. Whether for business or leisure, it’s an ideal base in Daejeon. What truly sets Lotte City Hotel Daejeon apart is the service. Every staff member I interacted with was courteous, professional, and eager to help. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was flawless. "The facilities were clean since it was a remodeled old motel, but because the building itself is old, the room was too small overall, and the bathtub in the bathroom was really only suitable for a half-bath. Also, check-in was at 6 PM, so it felt a bit late. The advantages were one free packet of ramen and the hot water being from a hot spring."

"The location is excellent, not far from the subway and airport bus stop, both within a roughly ten-minute walk. The room is very spacious; two 26-inch suitcases can be opened simultaneously with plenty of space left over. Housekeeping replenishes two bottles of mineral water daily. If you don't need cleaning, you can hang the 'Do Not Disturb' sign, and the staff will leave fresh towels and water outside your door for replacement. A special shout-out to the bathroom lighting! It's white light, not overhead, which is fantastic for applying makeup as you can see your true reflection. The hotel includes breakfast, with both Korean and Western options. While the variety isn't huge, the food tastes good, and the menu changes slightly every day. Overall, it's a hotel with great value for money, and I would definitely choose to stay here again."

"requested for quiet room - was put on 2nd floor which is odd since the room is right above the bsck entrance and carparks. Endless beeping sounds, drunks at night. Room was in the corner, which is the probably the quietest on the floor but the level negates it all. Wasnt quiet enough, kept waking up. Room 212 is to be avoided.  Appreciate the cooking equipment, which isnt as grimy and in as poor condition as the usual. Dishwashing liquid and scouring pad provided. Ondol is warm. Too many built in cabinets which goes unused and can smell a little musty.  Stayed 9 days, found a type of insect that resembles a very long ant with a forked behind and multiple sections. Encountered 5 of them in the bathroom, all on different days. I squished them so it isn't the same one.  There's bug spray in the room, Idk if it works on them. Got a picture of the 3rd day wormie for your viewing fun..."

"We enjoyed our weekend trip in Daejeon. The hotel was easy to get to from the train station. Also easy to get to local sites using taxi or metro. You can walk to many restaurants and coffee shops nearby, as well as the public foot bath. There is a CU located on the ground floor. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. We'd happily stay here again."

"Overall a good location. N-map was off in locating exactly to cause confusion for first time travellers. Room is fully equipped as service apartment for longer stay if you can read Korean. Shower without a door or curtain resulted in a big splash, a custom not used to."
