"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the train station and surrounded by malls. Takashimaya and Aeon's large supermarket are nearby, with department stores on the upper floors of the supermarket. The 6th and 7th floors are full of restaurants, well worth exploring for a meal. The station itself also has a huge food hall, and on the B level, there are several large drugstores, making shopping very convenient. There's also a Lawson convenience store near the hotel, which is super handy. The hotel environment is quite good, generally quiet and tidy. There's even a large public bath on the top floor; after a tiring day of shopping, a soak there can really relieve fatigue, and there are self-service massage chairs next to it. The front desk staff were very friendly, warm, and polite. They even kindly helped us call a taxi to the airport, which we really appreciated. We'd definitely stay here again if we have the chance."

"I've been to Japan over 20 times, and this is my first stay at a Smile series hotel – I'm really impressed! The room was genuinely spacious and comfortable for Japanese standards. "This hotel is genuinely great. There's a dedicated passage directly from the JR station to the hotel, so you don't even need an umbrella if it's raining. Dining is incredibly convenient too; there are all sorts of restaurants in the commercial area right downstairs, from ramen to coffee. Everything is perfect!"

"The location is close to the station and there are shopping centers and marts nearby, so it's good. However, the hotel is old and more dirty than that. It feels like a cheap motel in Korea. The bathroom smells moldy and there are a lot of mold stains on the shower curtain. I understand that the room is small, but the hotel smells as soon as you enter..."

"This was my second time staying at Abest Grande Hotel, and once again, the experience was excellent. The service is extremely good — all staff are very polite, welcoming, and always greet guests with a genuine smile. We were offered a welcome drink upon arrival, which was a very nice touch. The staff were also very helpful in calling a restaurant on our behalf to assist with making a reservation, which we truly appreciated. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a long day. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby transportation, restaurants, and shopping areas, making it a great base for exploring the city. "The hotel's front desk staff had a good service attitude, and it's very close to Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden. However, during my stay, the air conditioning was under maintenance. Every time I manually turned on the heat, it would automatically shut off after about a minute, requiring me to manually restart it again. This led to me waking up cold in the morning. 😢"

"Via Inn Okayama was our 6th hotel on this journey, and its location honestly couldn’t have been better. Being directly connected to Okayama Station made everything very convenient — from getting around to grabbing daily necessities. There were even some supermarkets inside the station, which were super handy. The lobby was on the 5th floor and already set the mood, with an amazing view overlooking the station and the city. Our room was simple and comfortable, featuring a small double bed, a desk by the window, a chair, an air purifier, and a fairly new TV with YouTube and Netflix access — perfect for relaxing after a long day. Space was a little tight when we opened our luggage, but it wasn’t a big issue. Even though the bathroom wasn’t very spacious, it still provided enough room to sit comfortably on the toilet, which we appreciated. The real highlight was the view — an unblocked cityscape right from the room that made both mornings and nights extra special. Convenient, comfortable, and memorable — Via Inn Okayama was a great stay right in the heart of the city."

"Compared to Tokyo accommodations, this hotel with breakfast is truly excellent value for money. It's very close to Okayama Station, and Canal Park is right next to the hotel. We originally planned for two nights but extended our stay by an extra day. The cherry blossoms along the canal were in full bloom, and we took beautiful photos for two days straight. We bought a bus + cruise day pass at Okayama Station to explore Shodoshima Island and take pictures."

Facilities: The room was quite spacious; we could lay down two 30-inch suitcases flat, and there was plenty of room for a 24-inch one on the luggage rack. On our floor, there was a microwave, disposable chopsticks, and an ice machine. The shower had great water pressure, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was fully equipped, and the toiletries were POLA. Hygiene: Overall, it was quite clean, though there was a bit of dust on the windowsill, probably because it was hidden by the table and curtains. Environment: The location is very convenient. There's a Matsumoto Kiyoshi downstairs and a Lawson directly across the street. Kani Doraku is also very close, and it's only a 10-minute walk to the Shinkansen. Service: Excellent. The front desk provided complimentary amenities and consumables.

The location is fantastic! There's a convenience store right in the same building, and a shopping mall is just across the street. A drugstore and Don Quijote are also very close by. They also lend out chargers and other things, but I can't quite remember everything. Given that it's Japan, a small room is to be expected. Still, the staff were friendly, the room was clean, and they gave us a room with a view of Okayama Station, which was nice. There are power outlets by the bed, which is convenient. It was cool that you could precisely adjust the lighting with the remote control. Plus, there's a microwave in the hallway. Overall, it seems like a decent room for a decent price.

Hotels in Japan are expensive on Saturdays, so I was just going to an internet cafe, but then a special sale came up, so I made a same-day reservation and stayed there. It was convenient! It's a 9-minute walk from Okayama Station, and best of all, they give you a warm nikuman (meat bun) in the morning, and you can take as much bread as you want, so I ate a lot and left early in the morning. The ice cream and drinks are free, so it's a great place to save on change while traveling! I'd love to stay here again! The building was a bit old, but it was clean.

The hotel is very close to JR Station, and the room is bigger than a Toyoko Inn, very clean, and the bedding is comfortable. There's an Aeon department store right next door, which makes dining and shopping very convenient. The only downside is that the road signs are unclear, so it's easy to get lost. The hotel also offers free luggage storage.

Excellent! The reception staff were great, very friendly and attentive. Around the check-in date, an email was sent for pre-registration. After completion, a QR code was provided for check-in, which could be scanned at the front desk. Breakfast was served from 6:30-9:30 AM and was delicious with a wide variety of choices. From 6:00-8:00 PM, a free drink per person was available at the restaurant, including lemonade and beer. The first floor has a lounge area, restaurant, vending machines, and massage chairs. The fourth floor has two washing machines (with detergent already added), two dryers, a vending machine for drinks and beer, and a comic book collection. Overall, I was very impressed and the experience was excellent.

The place is an old but well maintained house, the staff is really nice and friendly. This hostel is located in a good centric area, you can rent a bike with them and go to the Okayama Castle and garden, is very convenient.

It is a short distance from the west exit of Okayama Station, but acceptable because the airport buses stop at the west exit and there is no need to get on and off. However, the soundproofing is really average, facing the station, there are freight trains passing through all night, mind you may have to think about another one in the east exit. More concerned is that the air conditioner is noisy, I do not know if there is regular maintenance for repairs, the dust filter is not washed, accumulated dust. Request to change rooms successfully, air conditioning sound problems improved, is the dust screen is the same, forget.

It's very close to the station, Aeon Mall, Don Quijote, and supermarkets. It's an unmanaged hotel, but if you check in online in advance, you only need to scan a QR code at the hotel, which is very convenient. The kitchen in the room is fully equipped; I cooked many meals of instant noodles in the room (and even added a lot of ingredients I bought at the supermarket 😎). Highly recommended!!!

The location is nice. Although, I got a smaller room than I saw in the pictures, I couldn’t stand up straight because the roof was so low. Also, there was a short went to another room and I had to craft a curtain because the light from the other room shined straight on my face and you can’t sleep the other way around because there’s not enough room. Furthermore, even though I left my keys for the cleaners, they just left the clean towels and sheets outside my room and told me to do it and the key was left in my door. But the showers and toilets was nice and you have privacy which is nice.
