"The hotel has a great view, and it was convenient to have so many restaurants nearby that were open even in the evening! It was also a nice bonus that we could use facilities from their sister properties!"

"Stayed at this newly opened hotel. The location on Miyakojima was pretty good. The rooftop infinity pool was amazing! There were shaded areas here and there, which helped with the heat, but it was a bit disappointing that there were no parasols or sunshades over the sofa beds in the paid booths, even if it was for the view. The reason I gave cleanliness 3 stars is because, for some reason, a plastic bag of trash was left in a corner of the closet after cleaning. That was a bit of a letdown. As for the amenities, the shampoo and conditioner were excellent! I really wanted to buy them, and I tried looking online, but the official US website only shipped within the US... such a shame."

"The hotel is very large and spacious! There are supermarkets and shops nearby, within walking distance! It's a convenient location! Check-in is self-service, and there are two sinks so you don't have to fight over them – that's great! You can even cook."

"This newly built hotel is spacious with excellent facilities. It's very close to the airport, and you can easily walk to Don Quijote and MaxValu nearby. The reception offers complimentary use of a coffee machine and various amenities. They really have everything you need, almost to the point where you could arrive empty-handed – it was fantastic! I appreciated having a kitchen for cooking, and there's even a washing machine with a drying function. The sink area is very wide, and the separated bathroom has a bathtub and strong water pressure, which was a big plus. The only minor downside was that some areas weren't thoroughly cleaned, so it would be perfect if that could be improved. If I visit Miyakojima again, I'd definitely want to stay here."

"Great experience in Miyakojima! Location: The hotel is located in the center of the city, which is super convenient as a starting point to anywhere of the island: from here, the taxi to any direction is within 30 minutes at a cost of less than 3,000 yen. There is a FamilyMart across the road and you can get anything needed easily. And there are a lot of good dining places in the neighborhood. I made no reservation to any restaurant but just take a short walk randomly to the nearby restaurant every day and always find delicious food (there is one Japanese-style wagyu BBQ across the street which is super good!). Room: The room is cozy and spacious. You won’t feel it too narrow to open your suitcase as hotels in Japan elsewhere. The bed is comfortable. Facilities: There is a microwave in each floor, which is useful especially you need to leave early in the morning and have no time for breakfast. And there are also washing machines and dryers on the 1st floor, which is a must-have if you have activities in the sea. If there is any improvement I must say, that is the light in the room is too dim and it is not easy to do makeups."

"Facilities: The hotel is beautiful, but the location is a bit out of the way. Getting a taxi is convenient though. The only convenience store is a small one next door at the Canopy hotel. The room is new and the bedding is comfortable. The pool closes a bit early, making evenings a little boring. Breakfast isn't anything special, quite ordinary. The evening buffet also has very limited choices and is just as ordinary."

"The hotel is located very close to Miyako Airport and doesn't have a view of the ocean, but it was an incredible price at 10,000 yen for three people with breakfast included. It felt like a very clean business hotel. It seems to cater to many long-term guests, as we were able to use the laundry room and microwave. The room also provided basic amenities like toothbrushes, body towels, and shampoo, but guests had to bring their own cotton balls and tea from the lobby on the first floor. There was no lotion or other amenities, so guests had to bring their own. There was no view of the ocean from the room, and there were neighboring buildings and plumbing, but it felt more like a single-person studio apartment. The room did have a kettle, mugs, and a refrigerator, but no glasses. Plates were available for rent at the front desk on the first floor. I booked a plan with breakfast included, and the Miyako soba noodles I had for breakfast were not too strong and were very delicious. All the hotel staff were also very kind, and the restaurant staff in particular kept a close eye on keeping the place clean and were very helpful with customer support, making breakfast a pleasant experience. Of course, everything was delicious. You could even see the sunrise from the hotel, which was beautiful. It's close to the airport, so if you arrive in Miyakojima late, this hotel might be a good choice if you're planning to stay overnight first."

"It was my first time staying in a container hotel, but it was comfortable and great. I appreciated getting various snacks with the vouchers provided. It was non-smoking, so there was no cigarette smell. There was also a laundry room and vending machines (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic) on-site, so I could go whenever I needed something. They also provided one bottle of water per day, which was helpful when making instant noodles or other drinks."

"Perhaps because many divers stay here, each floor has a terrace where you can wash and dry your diving suits. Long fins can also be washed and dried here, which is convenient. Each room has a washing machine and refrigerator. The central location makes it convenient for going out for dinner at night."

"Watermark was a perfect location for us on a couple’s getaway. Since we were flying into Shimojishima airport and rented a car, we found it to be a very convenient location—only a six minute drive away. Although we could see the runway in the distance, we hardly noticed the noise of air traffic. On top of that, we enjoyed that it was in a remote area and not in the middle of town (like Miyakojima) or in the midst of a major resort area (like Shigira). We didn’t mind exchanging more driving time for more serenity. I could go on about the location but if you are looking for a quiet place on the water, I highly recommend this hotel! The staff were always polite, which is expected in Japan, but there was also a kind of relaxed warmth that I haven’t always felt from staff in other Japanese hotels. The facilities also struck a perfect balance for us. Not garish, not too plain; just enough island flavor but not too much. I was refreshed every time I walked through the lobby. The breakfast buffet area was clean, fairly well organized and offered a great view of the ocean. We enjoyed our breakfast times daily. We used the laundry facilities and found the machines easy to use—glad to have had this option. We also enjoyed watching the sunset from both our room balcony and the rooftop pool. We loved our room. It was simple but had everything we we wanted, including a balcony. If you’ve ever seen a modern Japanese one room apartment, it feels much the same, without the gas range. It was perfect for our stay."
