Mikawa-Anjo houses two Toyoko Inns rigth next to each other. They are not exactly the same, so it is worth differentiating them. This one (the ”No. 2”) is equipped with a self-service (so-called ”express”) check-in facility, which also means the guestrooms have been upgraded to the new-generation Toyoko standard. Mikawa-Anjo might sound like some kind of pointless backwater compared to Nagoya, but it is only a 15-minute shinkansen stop away, the prices of everything are cheaper than they are in the big city, and it generally feels like a breath of fresh air compared to hectic Nagoya. Breakfast can be (was) amazingly spacious and uncrowded if you are used to other Toyoko's. Otherwise, identical to other Toyoko Inns -reliably solid, with unfailingly courteous staff.

I made a reservation with national support. I needed an Internet connection to issue a negative certificate, but I couldn't connect in the lobby and could only display the certificate on the shared computer placed in the lobby.
