It's also very convenient for families with children, as the hotel provides kids' slippers, toothbrushes, baby strollers, and children's meals, and kids under 17 stay free using existing beds. "If you're visiting Yuanyang for the rice terraces and have plenty of time, I highly recommend staying at Azheke Original Homestay, right within the terraces. We were there for two days, and each morning was incredibly foggy. Waking up felt like being in a celestial wonderland amongst the clouds. The food here is also exceptionally delicious 😋 – fresh ingredients, unique cooking, and great value for money. The butler service is excellent too; they contact you a few days beforehand to confirm details. From Duoyishu Aizhepu, you can see the colorful terraces from above. The hotel's panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the lower colorful terraces. Since the hotel is located within an ancient village, there's about a 5-minute walk from the car park to the hotel. We packed our luggage into soft bags beforehand for our two-day stay, and the Hani sisters from the hotel were there to help carry them."

"The interior facilities of the house and the view of the rice terraces were excellent. The only downside was that the village planning was a bit messy, and the neighboring building, still under construction, was very close to the guesthouse, which was a bit disappointing in terms of its unfinished look and design flaws. However, once we entered the room, it was a pleasant surprise! The dining hall also offered an unobstructed view of the canola flowers and rice terraces. The guesthouse owners' son and a few relatives were very quick in helping with luggage. The owners themselves were very friendly. In the evenings, we could even play bridge or poker in the lounge. The two little dogs, Xiaobai and her son, were adorable and playfully mingled with us during breakfast, adding to the fun. The complimentary coffee was delicious. All in all, it's truly remarkable to find such a modern and clean guesthouse in a remote village like Yuanyang County. We hope the young couple running the guesthouse continues to standardize their services, especially regarding the cleanliness and handover procedures at the front desk, and keeps improving."

"We traveled from Puzhehei to Yuanyang. By the time we reached the mountaintop hotel, the fog was getting thicker, so we didn't get to see the full panoramic view of the hotel. There's a gravel path in front of the hotel where you can park. **Service:** The hotel staff proactively helped us with our luggage, and the front desk was very welcoming. After checking in, they even gave us recommendations for visiting the various rice terraces, including the best viewing times and special features. The hotel breakfast was excellent, and they even had seating with terrace views, which was a nice touch. However, dinner was much less impressive; not only was it expensive, but the taste was also just mediocre. **Facilities:** The room was very spacious and high-quality, with complete amenities and good cleanliness. The bed was soft and comfortable. Our room had a balcony, but it didn't have a view. We also received welcome fruit and bedtime milk, which was a thoughtful gesture. **Environment:** The hotel is a moderate distance from the various rice terrace attractions, making it convenient to drive to. The roads can be a bit narrow, and it's easy to get stuck in traffic near the attractions, so be sure to plan your timing carefully. The room price is reasonable, offering good value for money. Environment: The location is exceptional, offering panoramic views of the terraced fields. However, the road leading into the village is quite steep and winding, with sharp turns, so drivers need to be extra careful. Service: Extremely satisfied with the service. The staff members are all very genuine and hospitable, making you feel right at home. The red rice chicken soup rice noodles for breakfast were delicious, and the coffee was also excellent. Don't miss their hot pot tea experience or their restaurant, where the dipping sauce chicken is absolutely scrumptious!😋 Already looking forward to my next visit!"

"The place is very worth visiting. The room is good equipped, everything is like on the photo. The host and stuff is very friendly by helping with luggage but the international tourists should be aware that the communication with host is available only be telephone in Chinese. It is necessary even for check-in and check-out. It can be not so easy. We were expected to get a little bit more information but you can get help only if you approach the host directly. It is easier to arrive because there are a lot of cars on the station in Xinjie, but it is more complicated to get back to the station. But it is possible to catch a car directly on the road for 30-40 yuan pro person. There are only few restaurants in the walking distance. A lot depends on the weather, without good weather the view is sadly very limited. Before arriving is recommended to take a look in the weather forecast!!"

If you are going to Honghe rice terraces, there is only ONE place you should consider staying in. Jacky's Guesthouse. First: location. The hotel is in the Duoyishu village, which will help you see average life of people living in that village. More that that, the guesthouse is right in front of Duoyishu rice terraces, so you can watch the sunrise from your roof. I have watched the sunrise from both my roof and the official viewing spot, and the viewing experience from the roof was so much more comfortable and good, because there are always a lot of people at the viewing spot, but there is only you on the roof. And the view is almost the same. The rice terraces are 5 minutes from the guesthouse, so anyone can go explore them an then come back home. Second: staff and services. The main hall is suuuper beautiful and cozy and you can order there food even quite late. The food was very tasty and not expensive. Jacky is one of the best people you will ever meet. He speaks English very well and he is very warmhearted and chill. He helped me a lot when I was living there and will help you too, so I strongly recommend you choose this guesthouse

The room has a small air conditioner, and there's plenty of hot water. You can also catch beautiful sunsets and sunrises from the rooftop. They also offer traditional Hani ethnic clothing. The clothes feel really high-quality and substantial when you wear them – perfect for amazing photos. 😍😍 What's even better is that their food is truly delicious. My sister is quite a picky eater, but she absolutely loved their dipping sauce chicken! 👊👊 Finally, for watching the sunrise, you should definitely go to their village's viewing platform. It's much better than going to the paid scenic spots or other free, hidden corners. I hired a driver who took me to a free sunrise viewing spot that was quite remote, and the view wasn't great. After watching the sunrise there, we came back to the village. When we passed the viewing platform, I was stunned by the sight! ❗ You absolutely *must* go to the village's free viewing platform (it's incredible value for money).

I would say everything was great except the room. Location -- this is the main reason I choose the place. The rice terrace is in front of your room. Superb. There is rooftop to see sunrise too However, the place is not accessible for car. You need to park your car at car park around 300m from the hotel, call the hotel to pick up your luggage and you walk to the hotel by foot. It's not suitable for people with walking difficulties. Service'-- toiletries are generous. Breakfast is great with various options. Rooms are cleaned daily with new top up of toiletries and slippers. We can do laundry too. Detergent are provided. Why I give amenities 2 stars only? It's because I meed somewhere to give feedback on the room. I stayed for 3 nights at 2nd floor. There are 3 rooms of the same kind. However, my room has weird design. While the other two have perfect squarie room and spacious, our room, at thr most corner is smaller with bad design. There are wall built to cut off a space around 2x3 m. See pictures. It”s hard to put our luggage. There is sofa without tables. I suspect no space to add a table as it will block to walk way, not so confortable.

You can’t get a better view. Of all the terraces, 多依樹 Duoyishu is the best one and all the rooms here have a large window over looking the terraces. There’s also roof top access to a big viewing platform. Breakfast is good and the hotel can serve dinner at a cost, it was reasonable and the fish was delicious!! The beds have warming function and heating unit worked great. Warm milk before bedtime was a great plus. The shower and toilets are in the same space, even though the space is big, I still thought it was a bit awkward, but over all I had a wonderful time! Don’t come with a lot of luggage, there’s a short trail you have to walk, they will carry your luggage for you but better pack light. Will remember always.

Everything was so nice. I really enjoyed my time here! It started perfect with a free room upgrade. Then, it continued to be perfect with lots of cuddles with the dog and cat. I love the location of the guesthouse. It’s in the middle of a Hani village. You can watch the farmers doing their incredible work. You can make nice walks here. And the hosts is really helpful and can give you great advice. I am a country side girl and for me this place was absolutely perfect to calm my soul.

The inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

The hotel is well located if you are coming from Jianshui. It's a 2h30 drive approximately from Jianshui railway station if you take the express highway. From the hotel you can visit Yuanyang terraced fields with a private driver if you can't drive. We had a warm welcome and the staff was really helpful. They gave us advice on things to do, the best way to visit, the time that we needed... The food at the hotel was awesome. We really like to eat spicy food so we were thrilled with every dish they served us. I would definitely recommand this place.

We wanted to come here for the lasts days of our China trip, the view seemed amazing. And it is, but when you buy the guest room with view you don’t know which one you will have, they have put many pictures of different room in the booking section. So we had the one with the view over the sink and from the showers which is amazing (but when arriving I thought the view was from other side too). We arrived and it was foggy for the whole day, fortunately we booked threee night and the next day was sunny ! I didn’t know there is so much fog in this area so think about it. We had only two choice for restaurants because it’s very small (or they didn’t tell us more) and they are really delicious. I tried to have a lot of informations from the host to know what to do and how but it was not clear . I think they could to better to explain guest how to move around and visit. We had to go to the tourist center 20min away and have information. The room is confortable, heating bed and heating in the room (but the heater makes a lot of noises)

What a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea. Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset. There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great. Thanks Lucian! -Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA) PS. I had a wonderful stay. The position of the hotel is great, it's very close to one of the main scenic areas to admire the Yuanyang rice terraces. The position is particularly convenient because it gives the opportunity to reach the viewing point at dawn to see the sunrise (10 minutes walking). In the nearby of the hotel there are some restaurants and also coffee shops. The owner of the hotel is really an amazing host. For only 70 RMB he drove me in other scenic areas both in the morning and in the afternoon and waited for me as long as I needed to (we went to Bada rice terraces, which is famous for the sunset, and he waited for me for more than two hours). He offered me food, tea and helped me to arrange my way back to the bus station in Nansha (南沙). The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and it was possible to warm it using an electric blanket. I highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the Yuanyang rice terraces (which, by the way, are absolutely stunning).
