"Stayed at the Atour Hotel Xuchang Angel City two days ago, specifically for Pang Donglai (a department store/supermarket). This hotel has definitely won me over: the room facilities are relatively new and overall excellent. The air conditioning and bathroom are fantastic, the room is simple yet elegant, and the bedding is clean. The front desk and housekeeping staff are all very kind and thoughtful. The elevator goes directly down to B1, providing access to Pang Donglai Supermarket (assuming no crowd control), and you can even take the shopping cart all the way up to your floor, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel lobby is beautiful, grand, and elegant, offering great comfort. When checking out, we even received bottled water for our journey, which was a lovely touch. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻"

"Absolutely thrilled with my stay, five stars for sure! The hotel's location is fantastic; it's right near Pang Dong Lai, which saved a lot of travel time. The service was another huge plus, from the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was warm and attentive. "I came to Xuchang specifically to visit Pang Donglai (a department store), and I was pleasantly surprised to find such a great hotel in a third-tier city. The hotel has a garden-like setting, and every detail is impressive. When checking in, the front desk lets you choose from four room fragrances. The bathrobes were surprisingly good quality, and the toiletries were from Herborist. The family rooms are thoughtfully equipped for families with children, with two large and two small non-slip slippers in the bathroom. They even provide laundry detergent and a foldable drying rack with a dust cover on the balcony. The pool water was clean, and staff were constantly wiping down the changing room benches. Slippers were stored in a sterilizing cabinet, and the showers were spacious, making it easy to bathe children. Both the breakfast and the hotel's Chinese restaurant were excellent. Breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, including many local Henan specialties; the lamb soup was delicious, and the *hulatang* (spicy soup) had a real kick. In the Chinese restaurant's private rooms, the servers even offered auspicious greetings when pouring wine, adding a nice emotional touch to the experience."

The service attitude was excellent. They even gave us two bottles of yogurt upon check-in, and surprisingly, they offer multiple services including free car washing! "This hotel was quite a mixed bag. I booked a business deluxe room, and first off, the hairdryer was one of those old models you rarely see anymore. I actually laughed when I took it out. It didn't have a constant temperature setting, so you had to hold down a button the entire time. For medium-long hair, it took a solid half an hour to barely dry, no exaggeration – I was worried the hairdryer would explode. Secondly, there was no body lotion provided. What's more, the room cleaning was clearly half-hearted; I found hair in the bathtub when I returned the next day, and it was still there. Also, the website stated this room type had a 'park view,' but my window faced directly onto the academic building of a neighboring college, and it was so close you could clearly see what people inside were doing. I'm not sure if the staff intentionally didn't give me a park-view room, or if this room type simply doesn't offer a park view. If that's the case, I recommend removing that descriptive tag from the platform to avoid further misleading guests. Additionally, there are no EV charging stations on-site, so self-driving guests might want to look elsewhere, and parking itself was quite cramped. Overall, aside from the front desk staff being decent, there were no highlights whatsoever; it didn't even meet basic standards. I won't be choosing this place again on my next visit."

I had a very pleasant stay at H Hotel (Xuchang Wuyi Road Pangdonglai Branch) and would gladly choose this hotel again. The location is excellent — right in the city center, close to Pangdonglai, shops, restaurants, and public transportation, yet the area itself is quiet and comfortable for rest. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The front desk staff were polite, professional, and always willing to help. Even with limited English, communication was friendly and effective, which made the stay much easier. The room was clean, spacious, and well-designed with a modern style. The bed was very comfortable, the linens were fresh, and the room was well soundproofed, allowing for a good night’s sleep. Housekeeping did a great job maintaining cleanliness throughout the stay. The bathroom was spotless, with good water pressure and complete amenities. Breakfast exceeded expectations — a good variety of fresh and tasty dishes, suitable for both Chinese and international guests. Wi-Fi was fast and stable, which was important for work and daily use. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money, high service standards, and a comfortable environment. I highly recommend H Hotel (Xuchang Wuyi Road Pangdonglai Branch) for both business and leisure travelers visiting Xuchang.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! I am currently visiting and do not speak a word of Chinese, which can usually make things stressful—but the team here made everything seamless. We had to communicate entirely through a translator app, and the staff couldn't have been more patient or kind. I ran into a bit of a crisis where I needed same-day dry cleaning, and the reception team jumped into action immediately. They handled the situation with such grace and efficiency, ensuring my clothes were ready right when I needed them. Why this hotel stands out: • The Reception Team: All the girls at the front desk are absolute gems. They are professional, lovely, and never made me feel like my language barrier was a burden. • True Hospitality: I felt welcomed from the second I arrived. Even the security guard at the entrance was incredibly friendly and helpful! • Top-Notch Service: They go above and beyond to assist with any request, no matter how complex the ”lost in translation” moment might be. Where to start? What an Exceptional, Centrally Located, Grand Hotel; Location and Staff were superb. A great experience and decision for my needs. I enjoyed my short stay very much! Only wish I had more time to explore more of its amenities; but I will definitely return. The hotel is peaceful with no problem achieving a good night’s rest. In the middle of Tianyue Square; next to Wanda Mall, so at night it is very vibrant, social, and the whole area is illuminated and beautiful. The people of Xuchang are extremely polite and respectful & this extends to the lovely, young and helpful staff. Only slight feedback would be attention to detail when cleaning (but I am a clean freak), changing the TV to English and I struggled with WiFi the entire time. A place of peace and security nonetheless especially during a busy business excursion. Comfort 10/10; Location 10/10; Amenities 8/10; Standard; 9/10. I will improve my Chinese to improve our interpersonal relations. If I could, I would keep this place to myself. See you soon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ your friend 宝贵的

I was expecting for a reception employees to know a little bit of English. When arrived I was surprised that I have to find a way to translate everything to Chinese. Then next day this was corrected, and I found that they put an employee that knows a little bit of English to the reception. Also, for that type and size of hotel, it would be great that they have something for relaxation and training - either gym, or SPA, or pool, etc. Everything else was great and I could see that they were giving their best to make my stay pleasant.

The overall health is OK, the details are not in place, the hardware and glass, as well as the countertops and wall tiles have obvious water stains, when you check in, all the countertops have a little dust, and you wipe it yourself. The newly opened hotel hardware facilities are not bad, there are washing machines and dryers, but the air conditioner has some leaks, and the sanitation in the public areas is not in place. For example, the laundry room is obviously not cleaned. It is recommended that someone clean the public areas and improve the sanitary standards of the rooms and public areas. Then it is recommended to clean the windows regularly. The disposable towel has a good texture, not the kind of inferior quality, but it is recommended to provide clean towels, the texture is better. I must give 5 points of praise, if possible I would give 5+! ! ! The service is attentive and considerate to the point that I feel that Seven Star Hotel may not do better than him. From the welcome at the front desk to the parking lot, everything is in place, very friendly, and the hardware configuration is also very comprehensive. Breakfast was not included when booking, but the front desk took the initiative to give it to me and said that breakfast was 29 yuan per person. I didn't expect much at first, but unexpectedly the breakfast was very rich! I really stayed at a treasure hotel. I couldn’t help but ask the lady at the front desk if the hotel had anything to do with Fat Donglai. Of course I got a negative answer🤣The reason why I asked this was really because of their service It can be called the ”Fat Dong Lai” in the hotel industry, haha.
