"Stayed in a room in the main building. The hotel is in a good location, close to South Railway Station and not far from Shaoshan. The hotel facilities are good and the layout is very charming. The waiters were all friendly and the service was attentive. What impressed me most was the enthusiasm and thoughtfulness of Manager Li Xiu.
The food in the restaurant is delicious and the prices are relatively affordable, especially the restaurant on the second floor. The hotel is equipped with a swimming pool, which can satisfy those who like swimming and stay near Shaoshan. There is a gift shop downstairs for convenient shopping.
The disadvantage is that the hotel does not have a washing machine, which is still a traditional hotel practice. There are also no laundry bags for dirty clothes, but rudimentary plastic bags are provided."

"Highly recommended!!! Nestled in a quiet courtyard at the foot of Shaofeng Mountain, the rooms are clean and fresh, and the courtyard has a great atmosphere. In the evening, I enjoyed a drink with friends in the courtyard, enjoying the mountain breeze. Breakfast was delicious, especially the rice noodles. GGuest UserAfter looking at several guesthouses, we chose this one. The owner, Weiwei, and the staff were incredibly thoughtful and attentive, taking great care of the elderly. They helped arrange everything, from travel plans to sightseeing. The elderly had a wonderful time in Shaoshan and were very comfortable and satisfied with their stay. The food was delicious, local farm-style cuisine, and we ate all three meals there.
We'll definitely choose this place again next time we travel to Shaoshan!

What surprised me the most was the high-speed rail station pick-up service! The boss personally went to the high-speed rail pick-up station, chatted with us enthusiastically along the way, and sent us to the high-speed rail station when he came back. The room was clean and tidy, and the details were all attentive. The bedding is soft and comfortable, the windows are large, the ventilation effect is very good, and the sleep is particularly quiet at night. The bathroom also has no smell and the cleaning is very meticulous.

GGuest UserThis is a very typical rural B&B, with a restaurant on the first floor and guest rooms on the second and third floors. The B&B is located in a village at the entrance of the scenic spot. Parking is allowed and pets are allowed. It is about 500 meters away from the former residence of the elders and the Bronze Statue Square. The owner's service is warm and the room is clean. The facilities are simple and outdated. The bathroom did not provide bath towels and there was no shower. The bedding may be too basic and make a twitching sound when you turn over. In Shaoshan in March, the temperature at night was very low, so I needed to turn on the air conditioner, but the sound from the outdoor air conditioner was loud, like a tractor. When I turned off the air conditioner, the same sound came from the outdoor air conditioners in other rooms, and the quilt was a little thin. Great choice for light sleepers. It’s okay to just pass by on a self-driving tour and stay overnight.

GGuest UserThe couple running this renovated traditional home in Mao's home village are very attentive to guests' needs, even on the busiest day of the year, December 26th, Chairman Mao's birthday. My partner was coming down with a cold and got some ginger soup to drink. Additionally, when we screwed up our schedule and almost couldn't make our train out of Shaoshan, with no train available to reschedule, the couple arranged for the husband to drive us to the station for little more than gas money. It's up a slight hill from the other inns and allows one to get a bit of peace and quiet, again, even on the busiest day of the year, when Shaoshan is very worth a visit for anyone interested in Mao Zedong's legacy, given the number of Chinese people who show up to sing, dance, wave various flags and give speeches. Don't make our mistake and schedule the Chairman Mao memorial hall for a full visit instead of rushing though it. The exhibit is full of pictures and dioramas and has English captions for most things.
I also wish we'd had time to explore the pagoda on the hill behind the guesthouse.

GGuest UserThe owners of this place are the nicest people ever! Even though we did not ask, they gave us a ride to and from the train station as well as to Chairman Mao's former residence. The location is great, it would not have been a long walk but the ride made our visit even smoother. The hosts gave us Chairman Mao pins for free and made us delicious breakfast for a really cheap price. They truly are such nice people! They don't speak much English but I'm sure you would manage just fine with a translator app. The room was a great fit for us, two couples travelling together, and it had everything we needed. We only stayed for one night since there is not a whole lot to see in this town but we would have loved to stay for longer just because the hosts were so nice. I would definitely recommend this place! 谢谢你们对我们的悉心照顾!

The front desk service is super efficient, check-in and check-out are very fast, and they also take the initiative to help with luggage. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was moderately hard and soft, and it was particularly comfortable to live in. The location of the hotel is invincible, downstairs is the pedestrian street, a variety of specialty snacks and handicraft shops are dazzling, eating and shopping are solved in one stop!
