"As a local, this was my first time staying at this hotel, and I was truly impressed! It's newly renovated, and the rooms are incredibly clean and tidy. The decor is stylish and sophisticated, easily outshining other hotels in the city. I bought a 38 RMB breakfast deal, and it was fantastic – so many local specialties, and even fresh squeezed juice, which you rarely see. The coffee was absolutely delicious, a real highlight! The service staff were very friendly, and the aunties in the lobby were also very polite. If you're coming to Qionghai and want a great place to stay, don't hesitate – it's really worth it!"

"This new hotel is great! The exterior and lobby have a refreshing light blue, minimalist style. The front desk staff were all very welcoming and check-in was fast. Special shout-out to Ms. Xiao Zhen for her attentive service; she answered all our questions. The room was clean with new facilities, a good wet/dry separated bathroom, and plenty of hot water in the shower. The mattress was comfortable, and there was a large TV on the wall. Breakfast was decent too. I felt it offered good value for money, and the location is only 2km from Qionghai High-Speed Rail Station. I recommend it! A small suggestion: the internet connection could be improved."

"I was here for a business trip. Before checking in, the front desk lady helped us choose a room. We picked Building 1 over Building 3 because the restaurant is in Building 1, which was more convenient, and the view was great! The hotel is also very accessible for getting around. The breakfast had a good variety, and the pho was delicious! All the hotel staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. Lastly, a special thanks to Yingying and Xiao Wang for their prompt replies! They helped us with an early check-in and late check-out. I'll definitely choose Citadines again next time!"

"Facilities: Well-equipped and new. They even use quality branded toiletries, which is a nice touch.
Hygiene: The room was cleaned spotlessly every day, which I really appreciated. Very comfortable stay.
Environment: The location is fantastic, with the beach right outside. I'd recommend getting a sea-view room; the ocean in front of the hotel is stunning on a clear day.

Specifically, the lady at the front desk, Jinqiao, was incredibly attentive. I asked her about the washing machine usage while she was on duty, and knowing I had an early flight the next morning, she proactively helped me dry my clothes and delivered them to my room. The location is great, the service is top-notch, the room is spacious, and the bedding is very comfortable."

"I was in Qionghai on business this time and stumbled upon this newly opened hotel. It's right in the city center, making it convenient to get anywhere. Check-in was super easy; they support digital ID cards, and the front desk lady was quick and efficient, getting me all set up in two or three minutes. She also kindly directed me to the laundry room and water dispenser. The smart room system is fantastic; no need to hunt for switches – I can just call out to turn on the lights or adjust the AC, which is perfect for someone as lazy as me. The Mlily zero-pressure mattress was incredibly comfortable. After a tiring day of accompanying someone, lying on it really helped my whole body relax, and I slept wonderfully. I booked the audio-visual room, and watching movies on the 100-inch screen was amazing. Catching up on shows after a busy evening was such a stress reliever. Plus, they offer complimentary snacks and soft drinks – impeccable attention to detail. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Qionghai!"

Special mention goes to Julia Xu, our concierge, who contacted me days in advance. She was incredibly attentive and thorough in understanding our needs, and her responses were remarkably prompt – it felt like she always had her phone in hand! Polite and patient, she made the first stop of our Hainan trip a delightful experience. It’s a wonderful hotel with wonderful staff; I’ll definitely stay here again on my next visit."

HHeikafei529I'd known about Tanmen's Yusheng (渔生) and Leyu (乐余) guesthouse for several years. Touched by their warmth, my family and I spent the weekend together. As soon as we arrived, the landlady knew we were there; her hospitality was as warm as the land and the sea. The room was very clean. Opening the balcony window, we gazed at the rows of fishing boats in the harbor, waiting to set sail, and our hearts were lifted by the sea. It was only about a fifteen-minute walk from the guesthouse to the beach. The sand was fine, the sea beautiful, and a lighthouse stood guard, waiting for the returning voyages… Everything here was worthwhile.

GGuest UserThis time I went to Boao and stayed at Dongyu Island Hotel for 2 nights and Yalun for 1 night. Although Dongyu Island was 200 cheaper than Yalun, the experience was very good. On the first day, I added a housekeeper ”Nancy” and consulted her on many things. Secondly, both the doorman and the concierge are very polite and enthusiastic, which is different from the Asia Hotel (which is cold and has a bad attitude). The environment is very quiet and the equipment is new! Strongly recommend

MM12430****The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable bedding and excellent hygiene! No carpets, so no musty smell, which is great for people with allergies. The hotel is right by the sea; its back door opens directly onto the coastal road, next to 'The Story of the Sea' – the most beautiful dining spot by the beach. We heard that even a former UN Secretary-General once dined there. Even at night, young couples were taking wedding photos on the beach. Walking west, you reach the mouth of the Wanquan River. Overall, though it's an older four-star hotel and the exterior looks a bit dated, the air is fresh, and it's very clean. The lobby even offers complimentary tea and bananas, which is a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious. In the evening, we went to the nearby Tanmen Town Fisherman's Wharf and bought live abalone, wild sea shrimp, mouse grouper, and scallops. We brought them back to the hotel, and the restaurant chef helped prepare them for a reasonable fee, which felt much safer than eating seafood at small outside eateries! The restaurant waitstaff, especially the aunties, provided superb service. They even kindly warned us when we ordered too many extra vegetables and soup, fearing we wouldn't finish them. In short, the hotel offers great value for money, and we extended our stay for two more nights! (Attached photos show the seaside scenery from the hotel's back door)

SSarah Welsh1This is a great place to stay, a little hard to find as it’s on such a massive complex. Thankfully a kind person drove me to the correct building. The landlady was great and happy to communicate. The room was very clean and the balcony very good. My only warning is that I closed the balcony door while I was in the balcony smoking and the door would not open to let me back in. There is no handle on the outside of the door and so I was left outside for 15 minutes trying to open it. The landlady said she would send someone up to help but thankfully I managed to open the door finally (great as I had deadlocked the front door). The apartment is lovely as is the landlady.

Stayed on 4th floor, next to laundry room, 1 washing machine, no dryer. Room has usual amenities, 2 single beds, 4 pillows, 6 clothes hangers, long shelf below projection TV. No breakfast. Separate toilet/bath. Bath n face towels, floor towel mat, 2 sets slippers. Besides water, 4 sachets of tea provided, ceramic mugs. Writing space with Chair, shared bedside table. Adequate sockets for charging phones. Balcony with full height sliding glass. Got rain shower. Easy parking, restaurants, supermarkets within 400m radius. Clean and comfortable hotel. Qionghai itself quiet, less attractions and not so vibrant. Public buses need long wait, you probably need to use taxis or Didi.

GGuest UserThe boss is very nice. We stayed for 6 days in total. The sea is right outside the back door. There are barbecues, stalls, fireworks, singing and dancing at night. For seafood, go to Tanmen. There is also the Boao Market. I think it's good. The key is to provide a pot. Although we didn't cook, we brought the children to make noodles for them. If you want to stay for a longer time, you can really choose this place

During my few days in Bo'ao, I became a complete fan of this guesthouse. After the trip, all I could think about was how lucky I was to have made the right choice. I absolutely had to write a rave review and recommend it to everyone!
First, the location—it was practically tailor-made for ocean views! Just a few minutes' walk from my room onto the beach, and in the evening, a stroll with the sea breeze to ”Story of the Sea” is incredibly convenient. The biggest surprise was the room's balcony with its panoramic view. In the morning, you don't have to squeeze onto the beach; you can just grab a coconut juice and watch the sunrise leap from the horizon—the image of light and shadow on the sea is unforgettable! There are several hidden gem restaurants nearby, serving delicious desserts like Qingbuliang and Hainan noodles, each bite a taste of fresh island life.
The accommodation experience far exceeded my expectations. I thought being near the sea would be damp, but the sheets and blankets were dry and soft, and a cleaning lady came every day to clean meticulously—the cleanliness was impeccable! The amenities are incredibly thoughtful, the air conditioning is powerful, and even the smallest details are considered.
Whether you want to relax and enjoy the sea view, explore the countryside, or take a short vacation, this guesthouse is perfect. The price-performance ratio is unbelievably high; for just over 200 yuan, you can get a room with a fantastic view, and the experience far surpasses hotels in the same price range. I've already recommended it to my friends who are going to Hainan, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Bo'ao!

First off, the location is great – very close to the high-speed rail station, less than 2 km away, and basically in the most bustling part of Qionghai. It's super convenient to get anywhere. Within a kilometer of the hotel, you'll find attractions like the Red Detachment of Women statue, Wanquan River Scenic Area, and Xizai Old Street. There's also a snack street nearby, and ordering takeout is easy. I ordered cooling drinks and shaved ice almost every day, as you sweat buckets the moment you step outside in Qionghai! The room was spacious, and the young lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and always happy to help.
