Hotels with WiFi in Pu'er

I stayed for two days. The room was very clean. The bath towels, bathrobes and face towels were all packed in plastic bags, and there were also disposable ones. The running water and drinks in the room were free and replenished the next day. The face tissues were also wet. I liked the robot service the most. In order to let the robot serve more times, I stayed for two days and ordered takeout four times. The experience was super friendly and interesting! Breakfast and lunch are free and self-service, and the taste is also good. When I left, I was given a box of tea as a souvenir. I will choose this place next time I come!

The rooftop garden at Shanhao Garden Hotel in Ning'er is absolutely stunning! The design is breathtaking, the rooms are spacious and airy, and the smart home features enhance the overall experience. Complimentary coffee and tea are available, and you can swim directly in the heated pool. The receptionist is incredibly friendly and helpful, even assisting with your luggage and recommending fun places to visit nearby. She's also very pretty. The location is convenient, making it a must-stay in Ning'er!

The environment was very comfortable and relaxing. Beautiful view whwre you can see some of the sea of clouds. They give you disposable coverings for you to put on top of the fresh pillow bedding and mattress for extra hygiene which is a nice touch I haven't seen before. Bathroom is very clean, though there are only two toilets and two showers and two sinks, so do note that for busy season, but it wasn't an issue at all during my stay. They provided breakfast too, fresh milk the boss heated for me when I got up, and red sugar glutinous rice cakes wrapped in banana leaves (babas), and it was fun to get ready for the day with new friends on the balcony overlooking the village. I think the environment is very good for meeting new friends and other solo travelers- I arrived at the hostel randomly at the same time as three other girls, and we explored Manghong togetjer on the boss's recommendations for itinerary and sightseeing. And the next day the boss dropped us off at a tea roasting experience, and just as we were heading to Nuogan another girl from the hostel finished her tea roasting session, so we all went to Nuogan togetjer to play. The boss even helped load my luggage onto the shuttle bus so that it could pick me up at a sightseeing spot further down the mountain!

I would love to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Old Town of Chama. It may be a little tricky to find at first, but just follow Google Maps and you’ll get there easily. From the main gate of the Old Town, it’s only about a 5-minute walk. The hotel itself is quite new and very clean. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom facilities and appliances are all modern and high-quality. The soundproofing is excellent—although you might hear music and dancing outside, once inside the room it’s perfectly quiet. The location strikes a nice balance: slightly away from the hustle and bustle, yet just a few steps from plenty of food stalls and restaurants. What really makes this place special is the owners. They are a warm, welcoming family with parents, an elder sister, and two younger brothers. They don’t speak English, but communication was never a problem—we used Google Translate to chat over cups of delicious tea. If you need anything, you can always ask them. They are very friendly and genuinely do their best to help. แนะนำเลยค่ะสำหรับใครที่มาเที่ยวเมืองเก่า Chama โรงแรมอาจหายากนิดหน่อย แต่เดินตาม Google Maps มาก็เจอไม่ยาก จากประตูเมืองเก่าเดินเพียง 5 นาทีเท่านั้น ที่พักใหม่มาก สะอาด ห้องกว้าง เตียงนอนสบาย อุปกรณ์ในห้องน้ำและเครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าทันสมัย คุณภาพดี ที่สำคัญเก็บเสียงได้ดีมาก ข้างนอกจะมีเสียงเต้นรำบ้าง แต่พอเข้าห้องแล้วเงียบสงบ เดินออกมาไม่กี่ก้าวก็มีของกินเพียบ สิ่งที่ประทับใจที่สุดคือเจ้าของโรงแรมค่ะ เป็นครอบครัวใหญ่ที่น่ารักและอบอุ่นมาก ถึงจะพูดภาษาอังกฤษไม่ได้ แต่ก็ไม่ใช่ปัญหาเลย ใช้ Google Translate คุยกันสบาย ๆ แถมยังได้ดื่มชาที่อร่อยมากอีกด้วย ถ้ามีปัญหาหรืออยากได้ความช่วยเหลือ พวกเขาพร้อมช่วยเต็มที่จริง ๆ

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This hotel is newly renovated. Superbly clean and tidy. Complete amenities from the lobby to the room. Tables to drink tea and relax. Stable WiFi. I traveled from Luang Prabang (Laos) by train (about 5-6hours journey) and I checked in around 8pm and hotel owner (lady) was there, she politely asked if I had eaten when I said haven’t. After check in complete, she took me to a nearby noodle shop by her scooter and even helped me to order. Sat with me until I finish eating and brought me back to hotel, treated me with beer and Pu’er tea at the lobby. Her husband also joined. Very very very helpful and kind couple, also the staffs at the hotel. They even helped me to organize my itinerary for Pu’er. The husband even walked me to the bus stop and waited for me to get on the Nakeli Villlage Tour Bus. I stayed 2 nights, both nights I sat with them where they offered Pu’er tea (high quality ones, not the cheap ones). Offered beer. Both nights we sat for few hours chatting, although there were language barriers, translating app helped both sides. They offered breakfast too. In short, I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. 12-15mins walking distance to the Simao Old Street. DiDi cars available almost all the hours. Bus stations nearby. Very peaceful surrounding. Take time to mingle with the owners and staffs, they’re extremely helpful.

When I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made. The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car. When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff. The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion. This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time! One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay. Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

This is the first time I've ever felt compelled to leave a positive review for a hotel! The accommodation was excellent. They offer complimentary drinks and popsicles on the first floor. I was even upgraded to a better room for free, which I really appreciate. The room was fully equipped with Xiao Du smart controls, making everything super convenient. They also provide free late-night snacks, and the reception staff were incredibly thoughtful. When I asked for one late-night snack, they even offered to let me try a variety of options! The bathroom has a great wet/dry separation design, and in addition to regular towels, they also provide disposable towels. For rooms with bathtubs, they even include bath amenities, which is a nice touch. After checking out, I was able to store my luggage and pick it up later when I returned from my errands.

Extremely satisfied! The place was clean and tidy, and the room was immaculate. The service was exceptional; it's rare to encounter such a wonderful owner who truly anticipates and addresses guests' needs. Absolutely fantastic! It's also quite close to the station, and the owner was very prompt with pick-up and drop-off, couldn't ask for more. Definitely a five-star review, highly recommend staying here. This is my genuine experience and feedback. Wishing the owner a thriving business!

As someone who's stayed in many family-friendly hotels with my kids, I was still truly charmed by the Little Panda Manor. It was the perfect final stop for my daughter's graduation trip and felt incredibly worthwhile. Since my child is older now, we opted for the mountainside villa suite this time. The room was spotless, and every detail was meticulously thought out. Having the room card allowed us free access to the scenic area, and we could call for a car anytime we needed one, which was so convenient. The various animal interactions in the forest park were fantastic, and during the night insect observation, we saw several fascinating stick insects. The hotel's restaurant is definitely worth repeated visits – you can enjoy mountain views and birdwatching, and there's even a little panda freely munching on grass, creating a truly unique and beautiful ambiance! 🥰 It's rare to find a hotel restaurant with such excellent quality control on its dishes. Both the breakfast buffet and the à la carte options for lunch and dinner were delicious. We had several meals there, and aside from the barbecue, none of the other dishes disappointed, which deserves a special shout-out! 👍🏻

All the reviews are true, but it’s not the wooden building that causes it.  Yes, it is very loud and you hear everyone. We’ve stayed in other fully wooden places, it’s worse here. Maybe not the wood but the guests are the problem. Loud Chinese people, walking the stairs with the heaviest pace you can imagine. Maybe help the other guests by hanging some warnings on the stairs: please be mindful for the other guests when walking to your room.  Also loud Chinese tourist on the square below. Not only while eating they scream all over the place, also with the tea ceremony nobody asks them to please stop talking after 23:00/24:00. We were up till 02:00AM because of tea drinking Chinese people at the fire. We stayed in the suite, which is located above the fire pit. Maybe the other rooms are less noisy. At 7AM each morning, somebody ran down the stairs. We think it’s the staff. It wakes you up through your earplugs.  The staff is OK. They are very shy, not rude. They could be more pro active though as we didn’t feel like they wanted to do something.. which is different to rude but also not very friendly.  The other villages around are way bigger and less cozy than Wengji. Also, with this guesthouse being just next to the town, it was perfect to escape the tourists most of the time. We didn’t find other accommodations in Wengji with the same aesthetics as Shishi guesthouse so we can’t recommend other places better than this. Maybe if the guesthouse would invest in trying to keep the noise down under the various guests, with text signs or with clearer house rules (fire pit), the noise problem wouldn’t be as bad.  Maybe if they tried to enthusiast their staff more and keep them from watching Chinese drama shows on their phones all day, they would be a bit more welcoming.  We’ve met a lot of amazing people in Wengji, it’s definitely not the locals that have this behaviour.  Lastly, the suite has a cubicle bathroom in the room, they really don’t clean this well. It smells very bad and just feels dirty all over.  For comfort this place is too expensive, for the location and aesthetics you won’t find better options nearby.
