The hostess was so kind. We arrived late after work due to heavy traffic, and since the housekeeper had left work early, she came to wait for us. Since there wasn't much to eat nearby that night, she even prepared something for us. It was so touching! The mountain roads are a bit tricky to navigate, but the environment is quiet, making for a good night's sleep. The room is beautiful, and you can watch Netflix on the TV! The breakfast at the B&B is delicious, so I recommend choosing the one that includes breakfast.

This place is a jem! The room we booked is relatively big with a balcony. Room is also very clean but do expect some bugs flying in.There is also a tub light hotspring. We are on the third floor so carrying 2 big luggage up took.some effort. The hosts were very friendly and warm. All ready to recommend places of interests or local must try delights! Breakfast is included and it is sumptuous! Really yummy local vegetables to go with porridge. Toast is also provided with fruits, coffee and tea. The dining and beverage corner is available for use at anytime. Everything is closed by 6pm in Miaoli so be sure to have early dinner or buy some before then. The hotel is also has a small vegetable garden with some rabbits and chicken they keep as pets. They built a boardwalk along the river but it is also easily accessible. Definitely recommend staying here!

Hosts are warm and friendly. Clean and comfortable stay and good amenities in the house. House is beautifully decorated. My room has a Dyson hair dryer and a Dyson purifier. :) Love this!! Located in quite a remote area so getting transport around is a bit difficult. However advance booking with local driver for next day trip is possible and save a lot of trouble. Morning breakfast was a meeting of east and west. Opposite side of the road has eateries e.g. Route 3 and 七里香 Family mart is a short distance away. Convenient to get snacks. Two public hot springs 石汤温泉 and 石风温泉 pretty closeby. A relaxing stay!!

The room is clean, the location is very quiet, the breakfast is delicious, the landlord is very friendly, overall the value of the CP is good, we even let us check in 3 and a half hours early, very satisfied 👍

Beautiful place with nice restaurants, cafes, gardens and DIY activities. We had enjoyable and interesting DIY experience doing the Indigo dyeing. Teacher are very patient. Each cottage is unique and the stay was very comfortable. Restaurants serves delicious vegetarian hot pot. Desserts at the cafe was pretty and yummy.

My family were greeted with warming hospitality during our 3 days stay. Not the best location for accessibility and any shopping for necessities are recommended to purchase before staying in the hotel. Breakfast that were catered is fresh.

This stay was in the Pine View room, located in the newer annex. The facilities were new and clean, and the hot spring water quality was excellent. The overall lighting and environment were good. Unfortunately, the shower head was broken. The double bed was made of two single beds pushed together, and the mattresses felt quite old, with a noticeable bump where they joined but a dip in the middle, which made it hard to sleep comfortably. The breakfast offered a decent variety of Chinese and Western options. The staff were friendly and had a good attitude. I'd suggest they pay more attention to the quality control of the bamboo shoots served with the congee; they had a strong rancid smell, as if they'd been sitting for a long time.

You can soak in the hot spring until you are full. There are many snacks nearby which are very convenient if you are hungry. Even if you want to have a late night snack, the whole family can walk to Erfu in 3-5 minutes. Breakfast is also Chinese and Western, so you can run out of gas. It’s really convenient to have a gas station right in front. However, there was construction during the day and it was a bit noisy. Otherwise, it’s really nice👍It’s worth recommending👍

The owner was very kind and introduced the nearby attractions in detail. We saw the rare see-through of the Bayutan Reservoir. The layout of the room is not bad, especially rare, and the charging seat is also prepared, with wired wireless. The breakfast provided is very rich, self-service, both Chinese and Western. It is a homestay with a high cp value.

Visited in April... The local guesthouse had a very clean and spacious room. The guesthouse entrance was a bit narrow, so drivers need to be very careful with the surrounding traffic. The first room upon entering felt like the reception, so I stopped to inquire. The staff seemed quite relaxed in their work. I had booked the room in advance via an app, specifically choosing this place because it was advertised as pet-friendly. I also called ahead to confirm and made a note in my reservation. However, upon arrival at the front desk, I still had to proactively inform them that I had a pet with me, as they charge a deposit and a pet fee (the deposit is refundable upon check-out). Parking was a free-for-all; cars were parked haphazardly in front of any building where a space was available. It wasn't allocated to your specific room/building. I believe this needs improvement 😮💨. I was staying in one building, but my car ended up parked three or four buildings away, which was really inconvenient for loading and unloading. Then there was breakfast the next day. Online reviews made it sound good, but in reality, it was a tiny space with only a few limited dishes. The coffee and soy milk were incredibly sweet, to the point of being undrinkable. I was very disappointed. What upset me the most was that despite being advertised as a pet-friendly guesthouse, they wouldn't allow my dog into the dining area for breakfast. We were flat-out denied entry. When I tried to discuss it, they claimed it was to avoid disturbing other guests. However, there were only two other guests in the dining room, seated further inside. I suggested we could sit at the table closest to the entrance, in the corner – just a small spot for him to be. But they firmly refused, and I was absolutely furious. If they had informed us of this rule either beforehand or during check-in, I would have understood and we could have taken turns eating breakfast. But we had all come down for breakfast without having eaten yet, and they expected us to just leave our dog outside?! I was utterly enraged. I really hope the guesthouse can clearly state that pets are not allowed in the dining area, or at least specify conditions (e.g., pets must be in a stroller or carrier) for entry. This would help other pet owners avoid such an unpleasant surprise. Ultimately, it was a genuinely clean and spacious accommodation, but the staff's attitude left a very sour taste in my mouth.
