Worst still the lift had a cigarette smell and we spotted people smoking in a supposedly 'no smoking' room on the 8th floor! We notified the front desk about the smoking in the room and contrary to their statement on their website of a non smoking policy hotel we were advised that some rooms allowed for smokers albeit being on the same floor as or 'non smoking' room and our understanding of a 'non smoking' floor as well.."

However, I had specifically requested not to have a corner room when booking, and they confirmed it wouldn't be an issue. I went back to the front desk, and they said there were no other rooms available, only that last corner room. I was a bit speechless, especially since I had noted it beforehand. Only downside was the air conditioning was not working, it seems like it was turned off for cleaning for the 7 days of my stay. At 27 degrees C, it was unbearablly hot. When issue was raised to the front desk, they immediately provided a fan for the room. Breakfast was reasonable, buffet was filling, but options somewhat limited. Good tasting."
