"For my 21-day trip to Australia, I stayed in 11 hotels, mainly across Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Here's my ranking of the hotels from best to worst in terms of overall experience, with value for money factored in: 1. Capella Sydney (Lower value for money) 2. Park Hyatt Melbourne (High value for money) 3. InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto (Medium value for money) 4. Crown Towers Melbourne (High value for money) 5. Le Méridien Melbourne (Medium value for money) 6. Hilton Adelaide (Medium value for money) 7. The Langham Melbourne (Lower value for money) 8. Citadines on Bourke Melbourne (Best value for money) 9. Meriton Suites Waterloo, Sydney (High value for money) 10. Best Western Plus Travel Inn Hotel, Melbourne (Lower value for money) 11. The Hotel Windsor, Melbourne (Worst value for money) The Park Hyatt Melbourne stood out as having the best service among all 11 hotels. We arrived around 5:00 PM and were informed our room wasn't quite ready, requiring a 10-15 minute wait. Before I could even react, the front desk staff immediately offered complimentary breakfast for the next day as an apology, along with a voucher for two drinks at the lobby bar while we waited. Of course, we happily accepted! The hotel's location is a little outside the very center, situated behind Parliament House and right next to St. Patrick's Cathedral, which you can see from the rooms. Fitzroy Gardens, home to Cook's Cottage, is also within walking distance and worth a visit. I was very impressed with the hotel's amenities. The room even had a three-prong power outlet, a feature I didn't find in any other hotel. The 'old money' decor gave it a grounded and understated elegance. Breakfast was excellent and very extensive, with freshly made Western pastries that were incredibly delicious. I heard their flat white is even better than those from popular specialty coffee shops. The heated pool was long and narrow, feeling like it was definitely more than 25 meters. There's also a tennis court available for A$50 an hour, though you need to bring your own racket."

"The Ramsgate was under renovation so check in was a bit weird through the ****** area. The room is spacious and all works well. Good size TV. Next to the room was a small but useful kitchen with water, coffee and a microwave...also free ear plugs. There is no parking so it was a daily juggle to move the car within parking limits. The location was exactly what I wanted so it is excellent The shared bathroom is large and clean. . Nice touch to have a daily drink voucher. Quite pricey for a shared bathroom but then Adelaide is expensive."

"Strategically located along the hip and happening Hindley St. Service, near to the free tram lines as well the main road for buses. Serviceand amenities were great. Probably can improve the breakfast selection. Cup provided in the room was dirty."

"We are a family of 5 and we booked 3 rooms for 3 nights. The hotel did not give us rooms on the same floor. They said they had no idea that we were traveling together as I did not tell them we were traveling together. I answered the reservation of the 3 rooms was made under ONE booking, does it tell you we are traveling together or I was just booking the other 2 rooms for strangers .....The receptionist was speechless then, but nothing she could do as the hotel was fully booked she said. We showed up after the check in time of 2pm, but one of the rooms was not cleaned up yet and hence not ready, the other room had AC problem and also not ready. We spent 30 minutes in the reception trying to check in.... The room was noisy, after midnight bid noise came from the main door and toilet area basically every hour, waking us up in the middle of the night a few times. First I thought it was someone banging at the door, or a cleaner cleaning in the lift lobby. I opened the door but found nobody. The noise was consistent for the whole 3 nights. Other than the above, the hotel is well located and the price is reasonable. The staff at the reception are basically nice and helpful."

"We had a wonderful 6Days /nights stay in Pullman. 1. The location is great, within walking distance to Rundle Mall, Botanic Garden and Central Market. Also nearby Pullman, there were good restaurants and cafes. Apart from that, there were also bus stops nearby which can take you around the city and famous attraction like Hahndorf. 2. Wide variety of choices for buffet breakfast. 3. Most of all, the warm and friendly staff truly makes our stay very comfortable and pleasant. And I want to add that there is one exceptional helpful and very proactive staff Karl, who is ever willing to go the extra mile to help us in our room arrangements, city information and whereabouts, bus and cab services and tour information. We are truly thankful and grateful to Karl as with all his help, we can confidently enjoy our travels and stay in Adelaide. Thank you Karl. We hope to visit Adelaide again and looking forward to stay in Pullman and being served by Karl. All the best to Pullman team and Karl especially."

"Great hotel, pool wasn’t that warm when me and my partner stayed so it wasn’t that enjoyable. It was also quite small more of a lap pool than anything. Our fan above the shower was quite dusty they sent someone in the room to clean it when we left and they did. Claimed that the fans are cleaned weekly but I beg to differ. The room was quite small for the price as well our sink had to be closed almost the whole time because it stunk out the room so badly. Didn’t get that well or a view from our room either. Beds are comfy and feel good. Shower was great we didn’t have a bath in our room. Overall I wouldn’t spend that much for that room again cause it wasn’t that worth it"

"The hotel's design is very colorful and youthful, a refreshing change from the usual dull hotel aesthetics. It felt very new and unique. You can request various services and amenities, like different pillows, through the app and they arrive in about 10 minutes, which is quite efficient. We booked a twin room, and both beds were double beds, very comfortable. It's incredibly close to the must-visit Central Market, just across the road, making dining super convenient – no need to even book breakfast at the hotel. The air conditioning was excellent, so the summer heat wasn't an issue at all. Highly recommend!"

"The room was a bit small, but it was clean and hygienic. The front desk staff, breakfast service, and housekeeping staff were all very friendly and helpful, always with a smile. The hotel's location in the city is very convenient, with a bus stop right outside. It's also very close to the busiest pedestrian street, just a 5-minute walk away."

"The biggest drawback is that it is too noisy near the main street. The traffic is so noisy that I can't even get a good night's sleep as I keep listening to the traffic whizzing by outside."
