"I genuinely highly recommend this hotel! It's super convenient, just a two-minute walk to the right after getting off the boat at Phi Phi Don Pier, so no need for any transfer. The balcony door offers excellent soundproofing, completely blocking out the noise from the boat engines at the pier. It's also very smoker-friendly, as you can smoke on the balcony with the door closed. Downstairs, there are many local guides offering banana boat day trips, and their prices are generally consistent and fair. Plus, there are two 7-Eleven stores just a two-minute walk away, making it easy to grab food, water, or a massage. The experience here is far better than a day trip from Phuket. Phi Phi Island isn't big, so you don't have to worry about transportation no matter where you stay. I brought my own filtered shower head, and after four days, the filter remained white, which is a good sign. The room was clean, and housekeeping was prompt and efficient. On Phi Phi Island, you can't walk three steps without seeing a cat; they're everywhere and aren't afraid of people or aggressive. In the evenings, there's a lady who feeds the cats downstairs. Sitting below the hotel with a bunch of kittens, enjoying the sea breeze and a beer in the evening, was incredibly enjoyable. This is my second time on Phi Phi, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time. I genuinely highly recommend it; it's fantastic!"

Guest UserI really love the vibe of this place; it's very chill and quiet. I'll definitely stay here again next time. There's a swing chair by the entrance, perfect for just lying back and relaxing. So comfortable! The breakfast was simple, just bread with jam and black coffee. I really liked it.

CleopotatoI like the location of this Tan hostel because there’s a massage parlor beside it and beside that parlor is a 7/11. The popular street at Cosi is just across this hostel. The bed was thick and I loved the comforter BUT there are also a lot of things I didn’g like about this hostel.
1. They make you leave your shoes downstairs so you have to walk barefoot to your room and the floor isn’t even clean! It was cement and you can’t really clean it so I don’t understand what they were thinking by making that rule. You walk around even to the shower barefoot which is annoying.
2. They turn off the airconditioning from 11am - 3/4pm. I’d understand if the rooms were almost empty but our room was already full!
3. It was so hard to climb on the top bunk, it felt like it was too high or maybe I’m too short (5’2?).
I’m grateful for the receptionist as I was able to ask for a bottom bunk for my following days.

Slow solo TravelThe price was good, the shower rooms were clean, and the location was excellent, so overall I was satisfied! The only downside was that the air conditioning only ran from 5:00 to 7:00 and was uniformly set to 25 degrees by the owner, which sometimes made it a bit hot. Despite that minor issue, considering the price and location, I was generally happy with my stay!!

Good value, quiet stay with a few downsides
Overall, Alpha Hostel is a good option for the price, especially if you’re looking for a clean and quiet place.
The location is a bit far from the beach (around a 20–25 minute walk), which can feel long in the heat, so I’d recommend renting a scooter to get around more easily.
The hostel itself is clean and well maintained. I really liked the no-shoes policy, and the rooms are cleaned daily. Towels are provided, and my room had a nice mountain view which was a plus.
The common area was actually my favorite part, it’s a great space to relax or get some work done in the morning. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there’s a small coffee counter where you can grab drinks.
One downside is the bunk beds, they feel quite fragile, are difficult to climb, and can be shaky and noisy. Even staying in the lower bunk, it didn’t feel very stable.
Also, food in the hostel isn’t halal, but there are many nearby restaurants that offer halal options, and there’s a mosque within walking distance, which is very convenient.
Overall, a nice budget stay with a great atmosphere, but improvements on the beds would make a big difference.

A beautiful place. We were traveling and decided to stay in Krabi, the Tripa housing was almost free, but here this option and grabbed, nothing special was expected, and the room was very comfortable for a rest. Bedrooms, teapot, refrigerator, clean sauna, excellent shower pressure, hot water without interruptions, and balcony. Down the cafe and evening meals, beauty everywhere, lots of cats and a shower atmosphere. Just in a few meters 7/11 and the street from where to go to the beach Ao Nang on a tuck tuke for 60 baths (near the white temple across the road, there you will see) Thanks for the wonderful days ❤️🙏

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. Breakfast was included and was delicious. They served fruits like pineapple and watermelon, boiled eggs or chicken slices (alternating each day), bread for toast, cornflakes with milk, curd, cookies, jam, butter, coffee, and tea.
There was also a bar for party lovers. Every night, they offered one free shot, and for non-alcoholic options, you could get a shot of orange or pineapple juice instead.
The room was clean. One thing to note is that there can be noise until late at night because of the music from the bar area and the DJ. However, they provide rubber earplugs to reduce the noise. To be honest, I didn’t experience any disturbance at all. Everything was perfect for me. I don’t understand why some people complained about the noise in the reviews when they already knew it was a party hostel — the name itself is Balcony Party Hostel, so some noise is obviously expected.
Anyway, the staff were very friendly. If you ask them about any issue, they will solve it as soon as possible. I definitely recommend this place. Lastly, the surrounding area has plenty of food options, including pure vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and many other cuisines.

A hostel to just sleep in. Don’t expect much social vibes especially since Krabi is mostly couples/ families anyway.
However, the hostel was very clean, the bunk beds were nice enough, and the showers had hot water.
Front desk ladies varied vastly in terms of friendliness, with one of them being absolutely delightful and another one not even giving you a glance when talking to you.
They don’t have free drinking water which I found disappointing, but they give you a towel (no body gel and shampoo either).
Location wise it’s right on the main ***** so very convenient, and great value for money.
If you’re a solo traveler and know what you’re going to be doing in krabi already then I recommend this place. If you want to make friends maybe try somewhere else.

Guest UserI had a great stay at this hostel! I stayed in a 4-bed dorm with other people, but unlike many other hostels, it didn’t feel crowded at all. The room was clean, bright, and very spacious, and it even had a large bathroom which was a huge plus.
The staff are absolutely sweet and incredibly polite. They are awesome at pointing you toward the best parties, but at the same time, the hostel is quiet enough if you just want to get a peaceful night's sleep. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, but the overall experience and fantastic vibe easily made up for it!

JUNTo be honest, it is attracted by the picture. It is really only a transit hotel. Because it is very cheap, it is recommended to live on the beach. There is nothing around here. The hotel is down the alley. There is a small night market in the evening. When you walk to the inside, there is a kind of cooking that is similar to rice. It is delicious, and there is also a fruit juice juice.
