"Stunning property and location away from the hustle and bustle of Corte. Staff were excellent and always willing to help, booking shuttle tickets to the gorge, picking up and dropping off at the railway station. Breakfast and lunch were exceptional and dinner in the restaurant across the carpark was fun and delicious. Walking distance to the town. Rooms were very quiet given the river roaring past outside, very calming and tranquil decor. Pool was amazing, very comfortable loungers and a view to die for. Definitely the highlight of our trip."

"The hotel is in a beautiful setting in a narrow gorge, with views of steep forested mountains close and far away, complete with a gushing river tumbling over rocks. The room was very large and clean yet basic. No duvet but there were blankets. The ground floor has a bar area where staff will serve drinks or food from a small menu. You can sit outside and listen to the river or sunbath. There’s a warm under cover pool with retractable roof and also a jacuzzi. Parking is limited. You can park down the steep hill but difficult to manoeuvre or on the side of the road. Corte is about a twenty minute walk downhill for more bars and restaurants."

"Great option on the outskirts of town with parking onsite and walkable to the old town. We got a room without balcony or view which was fine as there are stunning views from anywhere in Corte including the hotel terrace and pool. Aircon worked great and the room seemed newly renovated and in good condition. Bathroom had a great rain shower and the room had a safe, fridge and kettle with tea and coffee. It was excellent value at €104 without breakfast."

"We had tried to stay two nights at Hotel du Nord, written up years ago in New York Times Travel, but were able to book only one night there. The morning of check-in, we arrived very early because we had checked out from another establishment in Corte and wanted to hike all day. The staff at Hotel du Nord took our bags and offered a lot of wonderful and detailed advice on where to hike, where to purchase the best provisions and the coldest and cheapest beverages and the most typical restaurants. We also were able to have our laundry done there. The breakfast was excellent and we were able to take away a couple of small sandwiches to bring on the train with us to Ajaccio. Our room was very spacious with a large window overlooking the Main Street of Corte, yet it was very quiet. The hotel is well-located in the charming town of Corte. Many thanks to all of the staff!"
