The front desk staff of the hotel are very friendly and helpful to recommend como food and restaurants, and also handwritten the bus stops and routes we need to take back and forth.

The hotel is 2 kilometers around the hotel. It belongs to the city center. Every day, you can hear the bells of the central church. The corridor is not very good. The room is small, but all the facilities inside are very new, and there are 2 windows. The windows are particularly interesting. The location of the hotel is OK, very close to Lake Como, right on the commercial street. There are supermarkets, McDonald's restaurants nearby, and the hotel also has its own breakfast. However, the breakfast is a bit worse than other three-stars, but the price includes breakfast and it is very good. The heating in the hotel is not warm, it is recommended to ask the front desk for a quilt if it is cold. If there is no breakfast in the room, don’t spend 10 Euros per person for breakfast in the hotel. It is better to go directly to the nearby McDonald’s or have breakfast at the bar. It’s about 5 Euros for two people. If you drive to the hotel, it is recommended to call in advance and set the location of the hotel. There are not too many cars in the yard at the entrance of the hotel. 15 euros a day for parking

GGuest UserThe studio was located in the old town, 9 mins away by feet from the Saint Mary Assunta Cathedral and 12 mins away by feet from the ferries' piers. Self check in was possible (though I was offline, so opted for standard check in). Great staff. The studio was spacious, clean, with all the amenities I needed. Bed and pillows were very compfy. Wifi was available for free. Self check out was simple.

SStephanieCheck in was easy and seamless. You get your personal code to access the room. I was in an 8-bed mixed dorm. Great vibes all round. Everyone was very friendly. Oh and a complimentary welcome drink too. There's a 24hour supermarket right next door which wsas very handy to have for late arrivals.
Bathroom was clean and easy. plenty of space for storage despite being in a 8-bed room. highly recommended.

GGuest UserThe location was great but it was a strange hotel. We were in room 901 but it was on the ground floor. We opened the door and were hit by a heavy perfume aroma. This never went away even when we opened a window. The fly screen had holes in it. The room was an odd shop with the bathroom door touching the bed. It was difficult to stand at the sink as the toilet was in the way. The bed was lumpy so we didn’t sleep well. However the breakfast was excellent and the lady was welcoming. Disappointed to be honest.

GGuest UserThe perfect balance of price, scenery and service. First of all, the location is very good. If there is no self-driving, it is only a few hundred meters from the nearest terminal and bus station. There is a big supermarket within a few hundred meters, so it is convenient to buy everything. The hotel has a perfect view and is located by the lake. You can enjoy the panoramic view of Lake Como from the hotel lobby and the hotel garden. Most of the rooms should have a very good view. No other plan to enjoy the view in the hotel is very satisfying. The overall facilities of the hotel are also ok, 4 stars are no problem, and the bedding is very comfortable, which is considered an excellent level among 4 stars. The breakfast is rich and delicious, with the scenery of the restaurant, very enjoyable. Finally, the service is good, and the staff are very helpful.

GGuest UserWe lived in Como for a while and walked past this hotel every day. It's literally on the lakefront and as central to the centro storico, the bus station and the train station as it is possible to get. We always thought it would be a nice place to stay. Roll forward and we had reason to visit Como again this week so we booked it. I also booked another room for someone we were planning to meet in Como.
The hotel is one of those elegant old-school hotels you could imagine from reading about the grand old days of ('old' in the sense of traditional, elegant and sophisticated - but not 'old' in a 'tired' way). Imagine the exact opposite of a modern steel & glass skyscraper hotel and this is what you will find here.
Staff were very attentive and friendly (while still being unobtrusive and professional). Food was excellent. Maybe the breakfast was a little but expensive but that's the way it is with hotels - just book it with your reservation and you'll save. Dinner in the restaurant overlooking the fountain (twice) was fantastic. Many of the dishes were not as expensive as local tourist ripoffs elsewhere in the City. The Cotoletta Milanese was as good as I have ever tasted anywhere in northern Italy (imagine a soft, succulent Veal steak covered in breadcrumbs) and big enough to share 1/3 of it and still be full afterwards. The Lunch menu was better and less expensive than places with much less quality on the menu.
Overall, I would happily recommend the Palace Hotel to anyone. Treat yourself and book a room with a Lake View. You won't regret the extra few Euro.

Location- hotel ideal location near to ferry . 10-15 min walk to cable car. From como railway station . Go down the stair from the exit of the station. Follow the pedestrian crossing and go down and walk straight into the town . Easy .
Hotel: super clean . Air con was super good and cold ! I love it . Room wise size is ok. Ruben was helpful and explain to us what to do for our W day stay . Where to take ferry. Where to take cable car . He was nice and smiling .
Food: I did not opt for breakfast as there are many food around . I had twice the gelato for nearby shop. It was good !
Overal. My stay in room 403 was great ! Check in and out was easy .
Please stay here. At night I also went to the square juat below and chill out with food .

Basically, water, tea, coffee, towels and soap are ready, but you have to bring shampoo and other shower supplies!
There is a restaurant under the hostel and very close to the lake!
