"Fantastic location, with the vibey Venice water town just across the road, the Russian walking street roughly 4 kilometers away, Bangchuidao within 6 kilometers, Xinghai Square and Xinghai Bay Bridge scenic area not far away, and several gourmet options within walking distance. The apartment was clean and spacious, divided into a kitchenette, a bathroom with wet and dry separation, a living area and a bedroom. It came with a standard refrigerator and washing machine, which were super convenient. A microwave would have been helpful. The view from the window was simply gorgeous. Special thanks to Maggie who was proactive and took care of my every little need. And she speaks English. I am definitely staying here the next time I visit Dalian."

"It's been a long time since I stayed in a hotel in this price range that was so good in every aspect! (Late November, 190 RMB per night, for reference only) First, the location is at Minzhu Square. This area is full of local life, with breakfast shops (Dai Baozi), noodle shops, fruit stores, Dalian home-style restaurants (6886), salmon shops (Aushen), chill bars, KTVs, BBQ joints, and convenience stores. About 1 km away, there's a morning market (underneath some residential buildings), which I just happened to pass by – it's worth a stroll! The 201 tram at Minzhu Square is definitely worth a ride! It's only a 3-minute walk from a single intersection. In the evenings, there are many street vendors downstairs; it's lively but not noisy. The hotel offers parking, and lobby check-in is very convenient and visible, with a well-planned layout. The most important thing! The room is excellent! The lighting is very harmonious; turning on the lights won't hurt your eyes. The bedside lamps are replaced with vertical embedded light strips, which are really great and perfect as a nightlight. The bathroom has no excessive decorations; it's clean, tidy, and completely odor-free! Absolutely no smell at all! The projector is very clear, perfectly framed, and offers a great viewing experience. I was just too tired during the day to watch for long, I was so sleepy! 😆 The room also has excellent soundproofing, so even light sleepers can consider it. I'm an average sleeper, and it was very quiet during my stay. Downstairs, there's a laundry room and a gym. For families traveling, baby strollers are available for rent, which is really great! For me, who decided to extend my trip by a couple of days and didn't bring extra clothes, being able to do my laundry every night was a lifesaver. It's a washer-dryer combo, and it's free! On the morning of the third day, staff even had a robot deliver something to my room; the service is truly excellent! Ike & Home Hotel is worth it! Dalian is worth it! This is a genuine review, and I hope everyone visiting Dalian has good weather and a good mood! I'll definitely come back and stay here again!"

"An absolutely perfect stay. The InterContinental Dalian boasts luxurious, elegant, and grand facilities. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and inviting, offering breathtaking views of the East Port shipyard and the ocean. Its prime downtown location provides incredibly convenient access to subway and bus lines, and taxi rides around the city are also very affordable. It's just a short walk to the historic century-old buildings around Zhongshan Square. Check-in was a breeze, and the service was attentive and incredibly warm. A special thank you to DANA at the front desk for her excellent service. I also appreciate the doormen who always helped me with my bags from the taxi. Finally, kudos to the F&B department for the thoughtful gesture of delivering red date and pear soup to my room in the evening, which was a perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. Dalian truly is a fantastic city!"

They can also coordinate rooms according to needs and even provide room upgrades during the off-season. They are particularly considerate of special groups such as the elderly and will thoughtfully prepare earplugs and remind guests to use anti-slip clothing."

From the moment I arrived, I felt an immediate sense of comfort and peace, as if a gentle warmth permeated my being. A subtle, pleasant fragrance wafted through the air, and the absolute silence felt dream-like. The bed was incredibly soft, like sleeping on a cloud, and the duvet was wonderfully light. The amenities provided were exceptional: fragrant, high-quality soap, incredibly soft towels, and good toothbrushes and bath products that truly lived up to their promise, not just generic items. The room was absolutely spotless, sparkling clean in every corner. Using the facilities felt incredibly refreshing, like washing with pure mountain spring water and rinsing with sweet dew. All the day's dust and fatigue simply melted away, leaving me completely rejuvenated. Outside the window, there was a gentle hum of street life, hinting at a bustling area nearby. Just a few steps downstairs, I found an incredible array of street food stalls. The air was filled with delicious aromas from charcoal grills, and the food was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. From golden fried pancakes resembling sunsets to glistening candied haw, and perfectly grilled squid with a delightful sweet and spicy kick, it was a true culinary treat. Even as night fell, the area remained lively with many people enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. I also loved the convenience of public transportation right on the doorstep, offering easy access to explore widely, whether I wanted to visit distant attractions or simply head to the seaside. This proximity to transport truly made exploring the city effortless. What truly stood out was the exceptional staff, especially the front desk personnel. They were incredibly welcoming and warm, always ready with a gentle smile and a helpful word. My questions were answered quickly and efficiently, and they made me feel so genuinely cared for, as if we were old friends. Their kindness and genuine hospitality truly made this place feel like home. The room was well-equipped with modern amenities. The air conditioning was effective and easy to use, and there were plenty of TV channels to choose from. I appreciated the pleasant wall art and the convenient bedside lamp. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, allowing me to browse the web effortlessly without any lag. But what truly amazed me was the price – this place offers incredible value for money, something truly rare to find in the city. For a similar price, it would be hard to find another place that combines such refinement with peaceful comfort. It’s not flashy, but it’s tastefully done and genuinely peaceful. I honestly wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it myself; a single night here felt like a dream. I had initially planned only a short stay, but by the time I left, I felt a deep reluctance to depart. Even after I was gone, my thoughts kept returning to this wonderful place, and I found myself dreaming of that comfortable bed. If anyone asks me where this hidden gem is, I'd almost be hesitant to share, lest I disturb its serene magic. Suffice it to say, it felt like a bed among the clouds, offering a night that truly transcended the ordinary. The final photos capture Dalian's 'Venice of the East' (Water City), which is just one example of the beautiful scenery in the area. To sum it all up: beautiful surroundings, pleasant weather, delicious and diverse local cuisine with unique flavors, and truly exceptional service. I'd particularly like to commend 'Xiao Wang' for their outstanding attitude and helpfulness. I've written so much because this place truly deserves all the praise. I highly recommend staying here!"

"This hotel is a hidden gem for families with kids, making our stay easy and heartwarming! My biggest concern when traveling with a three or four-year-old is finding suitable accommodation, but this hotel completely put my worries to rest. They thoughtfully provided kids' toothbrushes, slippers, and a small plush toy. The room was spacious, and the bed height was perfect for little ones to get in and out of. The breakfast at the Horizon Club was also excellent. During our stay, the Guest Relations Manager, Lisa, checked in with us daily to see how we were doing, which was a very thoughtful and meticulous touch! This hotel gets full marks and is definitely a top choice for families with kids. We'll definitely stay here again next time!"

"Unable to secure a twin room at the Four Seasons, and with our elderly family members specifically requiring separate beds, we instead booked Fraser Suites' largest three-bedroom apartment. We were assigned to the 21st floor (out of 25, a minor disappointment as it wasn't one of the top two floors). The apartment featured an L-shaped layout, which felt a bit unusual. The master bedroom had a king bed, while the other two bedrooms had a queen bed and two single beds, respectively. Without floor-to-ceiling windows, the visual impression of space felt a little constricted. The layout of the living and dining areas wasn't ideal and could benefit from an upgrade or rearrangement. The open-plan kitchen was tastefully designed, and both a washing machine and dryer were conveniently located next to the fridge. However, the range hood's ventilation wasn't very effective. The use of Villeroy & Boch and Hansgrohe for bathroom fixtures suggests a relatively high investment in the property's hardware. We had requested mouthwash and a variety of pillows during booking, and thankfully, these requests were eventually met, partly due to the booking platform's coordination. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, offering a perfect balance of softness and support – a truly unexpected highlight. The swimming pool was the most satisfying feature. The water temperature was a bit on the cool side, and while its length was acceptable, it was rather narrow. The depth, ranging from 0.9m to 1.5m, was fine, though I did graze my toe on the pool floor in the shallowest section. The changing rooms were excellent, complete with hot and cold plunge pools and both wet and dry saunas. Plus, they had Dyson hairdryers, which were far superior to the ones in the apartment. **Points for improvement:** 1. The toothpaste provided was Meijianjing, which seemed out of place for a hotel of this caliber. 2. After checking in, we discovered there was only one hairdryer for three bedrooms. Furthermore, it was one of those models that require you to continuously hold down the handle to operate – a type I'd never encountered before. After calling room service, they simply provided another identical, awkward hairdryer. Why not the Dyson ones found in the gym changing rooms? 3. The toilet paper was incredibly thin and rather rough. For a property of this standard, one would expect at least Kleenex-quality tissue. 4. The living room television was too small and had poor picture quality; it definitely needs an upgrade. 5. There weren't enough waste bins, and their placement was inconvenient. 6. Out of the three bathrooms, only the master bathroom featured a non-standalone bathtub, which was awkwardly placed inside the shower cubicle, making it very inconvenient to use. What's more, there was a small, completely empty room right next to it with no facilities at all. 7. The wardrobe hangers were not suitable for delicate clothing, as there were no padded or silk hangers provided. Overall, while it offers excellent value for money, it doesn't quite qualify as a luxury hotel apartment, falling more into the category of an entry-level five-star property like a Shangri-La or Hilton."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right in Xinghai Square. You step out and you're there! It's also super convenient for getting around. Coming to Dalian now is incredibly good value for money, much cheaper than in the summer. It's really a great deal! The location is perfect, the room is clean and tidy, making for a comfortable stay. Basic amenities are all there, and the front desk staff are very polite and send various helpful reminders, which is a thoughtful touch. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance!"

"We chose this hotel for its convenient location near the Shanmu and Zhenghuangqi dining areas. The lobby staff were very friendly; they proactively offered game tokens to our child when they saw him/her lingering near the claw machine, which made our child very happy. However, the cleanliness was truly disappointing. We arrived around 11 AM during peak season. Since our room wouldn't be ready until after 2 PM, we headed out to explore. That night, as I pulled back the duvet, something got on my hand. Upon closer inspection in the bathroom, it turned out to be a false eyelash. Further inspection of the bed revealed more remnants on the duvet cover. I called the front desk to request a duvet change, but was informed that due to full occupancy, they couldn't provide a spare duvet. It was only after I thoroughly explained the situation (pointing out multiple false eyelash remnants, not just one spot) that they agreed to change the duvet cover. The older male staff member who came to replace it was quite clumsy; the duvet cover was dragged on the floor multiple times, making for a rather poor experience. We stayed for two consecutive nights. On the second day, when the cleaning staff came, I noticed the room across the hall had just checked out and observed them emptying the trash bin directly into a large communal bin. Concerned about the hygiene, we subsequently declined daily room cleaning."

"Novotel will be my top choice next time I visit Dalian! Absolutely fantastic! This was the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during my Dalian trip. For the first two days, unfamiliar with the city, I booked a highly-rated hotel online based on its location. To my dismay, it didn't even have blackout curtains, and I was woken up by sunlight shining on my bed past 5 AM. I decisively switched to Novotel, which, coincidentally, is located in the same building. I regret that Novotel wasn't a recommended option when I made my initial booking online. **Location:** Situated in the heart of Zhongshan District, it's near Dalian Times Square (luxury shopping) and very close to Zhongshan Square and the charming Nanshan Street. Its excellent location makes it incredibly convenient to get anywhere. A taxi to Xinghai Square only costs around 10-20 RMB. There are plenty of dining, entertainment, and leisure options in the vicinity. **Ambiance:** The hotel boasts a 'light luxury' design, which feels very comfortable and inviting. It's impeccably clean, fresh, and hygienic, with a complimentary fruit platter provided daily. **Facilities:** The facilities are comprehensive and include everything you'd expect. There's both a laundry room and a well-equipped gym. The on-site restaurant also serves a delicious breakfast! **Service:** The service is exceptionally warm and friendly, truly making you feel at home. The staff are polite and greet you every time they see you. Even the cleaning staff proactively offer a greeting with a smile. The only minor drawback is that it shares elevators with several other hotels, and there's no key card required to access floors directly, which could be a slight security concern."
