Cheap Hotels in Miami Beach

"The hotel is beautiful. We booked a partial sea view room in the main building, which has a maximum floor of 17. We were assigned a room on the 15th floor, and the ocean was visible diagonally in front of the window. The hotel also has an annex building, which appears to be about 10 stories high. When we booked, the Ocean Front room in the annex was the same price as the partial sea view room in the main building and included three breakfasts. After researching and reading reviews saying the main building was recently renovated and newer, we chose the main building room. The hotel entrance is surrounded by palm trees, and the lobby is quite grand. A path leading to the swimming pool from the side entrance has fountains on both sides, which are beautifully lit at night. The swimming pool isn't large, but it's surrounded by rows of beach chairs. Walking across the pool and out of the hotel leads directly to the beach – incredibly convenient! On our first day, we took photos and played in the water on the beach. The hotel provides dedicated lounge chairs and towels. Sun umbrellas cost an extra $30. After playing for a while, we went back to the hotel pool. Lying on a beach chair listening to live music, with staff offering complimentary snacks like frozen mango chunks, strawberry smoothies, and frozen coconut milk—small portions, but incredibly refreshing—were delightful. Free ice water, sunscreen, and towels were also available by the pool. The next day, I got up early to watch the sunrise on the beach. What I loved most was the hotel's buffet breakfast: $46 per person, $22 for children. Our room included two breakfasts; the selection was vast, and everything was delicious. The fruit was huge—blueberries and blackberries were much larger and sweeter than those in the Bay Area. The melons were also very sweet! Excellent value for money! The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Lincoln Street, perfect for a relaxing evening stroll. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Miami!"

"Excellent hostel with a fantastic location, and for minimal money too! The staff are friendly and genuinely always ready to help. The rooms are clean, with daily housekeeping, and the beds and their ladders are sturdy. There's a hot water dispenser near the pool (next to the washing machines)."

"Good breakfast, self-service type, but the hotel suggested tipping the waiter, we gave 2 knives, many foreigners I saw there is no, this looks like random, two big beds, we used one, the hotel location Not bad, just near South Beach. I added more than 43 knives in two days. I read the comments in advance and know that I want to add them. It looks like a city tax. Anyway, I need to count about 800 for a night. It seems that it is not expensive."

"The building is nearly a century old, with huge rooms, the smallest being a suite with a living room and a master bedroom. Its prime location on South Beach makes the price practically charity. There are about ten free parking spaces on the street, and judging from the on-site observation, the turnover is high, so you can wait patiently. The hotel also has some obvious drawbacks: a strong odor, while the bedding was generally clean, other surfaces like countertops were not very clean, the decor is old, some lights didn't work, and the sink in the bathroom of my room was clogged. But overall, it's still acceptable."

"The location is absolutely fantastic! It's not one single building, but rather spread out like a district. If your room isn't facing the street, it's actually completely quiet. You can just step out and find the most charming street-side restaurants. The beach is only a 10-minute walk away, and there are some really great coffee shops nearby (especially the one with avocado toast!). The room was a bit small for a large suitcase, and the water pressure for the shower on the first floor was a bit low. Oh, and there's no heating. Despite these points, I still really liked it. Finally, it's self-check-in, so if you have any issues, make sure to contact them via email right away, because there's genuinely no one on site. It's easy to just stand outside feeling confused, but a quick call will clear things right up."

"We live in Key West and come to Miami every 2-3 months. We have stay at this hotel, the Fontainebleau, or one of the 2 Kimptons for 5 years and always had a great experience at this hotel until this trip. It started at check in The guy at the desk “Carlos” was rude from the beginning. He was a smart aleck about everything. It was my wife’s birthday trip and it was definitely not the way we wanted to start it. Our room was hot and we didn’t have enough towels. We had dinner reservations and were going to see Andrea Bocelli. When we got back the room was still hot but we were exhausted from the day so we went to sleep. At 6:0am it was so hot it woke us up. My wife went to the front desk and a very nice Eloisa was there and helped my wife and they sent someone to look at it after 5 minutes it was working. I asked what was wrong and he said “it had a bubble in it” but acted like he couldn’t speak any more English. The thermostat was on cool and set 60° but the room never got below 74° at 6:00am. When my wife went to ask for a Double Tree Cookie she was told they were no longer a double tree hotel. This is one of the main reasons we stayed there and it has definitely changed. When we got there The Miami Dolphins were playing in Miami and every TV in the awesome bar area was off and I asked “Carlos” if they could turn the game on and was told it was under renovation but there was no sign of construction and if it was it had nothing to do with the tvs in the lobby. The entire vibe here is not what it was the last time we stayed here. This is a great location and one of the only hotels that still has a hot tub “but it only works half of the time”. He was also a **** about the pool towel card policy and said if I didn’t return the nasty reused card I would be charged $25 per card just to get a towel by the pool. If you do decide to stay there and there is a 20 something Spanish guy at the desk come back later for the sake of your peace on vacation."

"Good location. Provides baggage keeping services. Free coffee 8am-12pm. 5-10mins walk distance have CVS, restaurants and coffee shops. 10mins walk distance to the beach side/ Lincoln Rd. The Room condition was old. Room floor was not really clean. My room is double bed room, it’s no table and chair. There is no plug location, so I need to move the bed to find the charging location."

"The location was great. Two blocks to the beach. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served everyday in the Tavern Restaurant. Front desk and staff very accommodating. Pool small but adequate. The rooftop lounge was very quiet. Loved the boutique ambience. Bus and trolley one block away to center of south beach museums and shopping. Will return. Highly recommend it."

"Environment: The hotel is very close to the beach, only 5 minutes away, and it is convenient to shop and eat downstairs. "Very convenient location. It's on the main street and it's very close to the beach. The deco is nice. The room is spacious for two ppl but if for 3 ppl then the space is a bit tight. I think the Queen size bed is a bit smaller than usual . The staff are helpful. I think it worths the money"
