"This was a lovely hotel. The room was spacious to open 2 luggages and was clean. There was a tub in the toilet which was large. The main selling point of this hotel was the amazing breakfast. The buffet spread was abundant and had many options, and the view of the snow out the window as we ate was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. It is also located well near the bus stop that takes you to the main Kanazawa train station."

"This hotel is quite basic, similar to an economy hotel in China. The room isn't very spacious, but the details are well-thought-out, and all necessary amenities are available. The hotel's main advantage is its incredibly convenient location; just step out the door to the left, and you're at Kanazawa train station. The ginkgo trees lining the streets in late autumn offer a charming view, making travel very easy. I noticed many domestic business travelers and older students staying there. The hotel has a public bathhouse accessible with your room card, but we were too exhausted from sightseeing every day to try it. Overall, this hotel isn't for a relaxing 'lie-flat' stay, but for those who frequently visit attractions, its location and value for money make it a pretty good choice."

"This place is just a 5-6 minute walk to Kanazawa jr station and the bus terminal. The location is fantastic. There is all the amenities you need like coin laundry, and ice machine. The staff are wonderful and helped me to correctly fill out the forms to mail a package to my teacher staying in japan. This is my second stay with the hotel franchise in kanazawa- i stayed in their other hotel more in the town centre previously. They both smelled amazing. I don’t know what they use, but they have a specific scent that they make for their hotels. Apparently Kanazawa also has a tradition of incense and so they’ve incorporated a signature scent based on it. I wish I could buy it tbh- so Koko staff- if you see this, please make it an item you sell! The rooms are a good size, for Japan, and the bathtub in the room is MASSIVE. Sadly I dont have photos as I forgot to take them. They have a lovely outdoor on the top floor as well, where you can sip a drink and enjoy the view which i do have photos of."

"This was my first time visiting Kanazawa and staying at this onsen ryokan, and it offered excellent value for money. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with very fresh sashimi, fruits, and milk. The room was comfortable and cozy, and the onsen was fantastic, very relaxing. They even offered complimentary late-night ramen after 9:30 PM, which was also tasty. I would definitely choose to stay at this onsen ryokan again on my next visit to Kanazawa."

"The room was spacious and very comfortable. It's about a 10-minute walk from Kanazawa Station, and there's a bus stop right outside. Omi-cho Market is only a 3-4 minute walk away. The room came equipped with a facial beauty device and even an electric foot massager, which was a nice surprise. What I was most thrilled about was the wardrobe that sterilizes and de-wrinkles clothes – so convenient for travelers! Besides the free coffee and tea in the lobby, they also provided coins daily per person, which could be used at the vending machines for drinks or exchanged for an alcoholic beverage at the lobby's bar area. The service was also very thoughtful. Highly recommended!"

"Great location, this hotel was easily located within walking distance from the major Samurai / Geisha streets. It felt very safe and the bed was extremely comfy. The breakfast selection was simple, but there were plenty of restaurants and conbinis nearby for when you get a bit peckish."

"The hotel is in an excellent location, just a short walk from Omicho Market, Kanazawa Castle, and the garden. The room size and amenities are quite good. The staff were friendly and provided great service; they kindly kept our luggage safe even after we checked out, allowing us to enjoy another half day exploring Kanazawa before leaving this beautiful city."

"The lobby is grand and the rooms are spacious. There are many staff members in the lobby who guide guests to the elevators. They had already prepared three beds, which was a nice touch. The pictures and description showed separate shower and toilet facilities, but the triple room we got didn't have that, which was a bit inconvenient. When I checked in, I asked for a higher floor and was told it would be on the 17th floor, for which I expressed gratitude, but it turned out to be the lowest floor for guest rooms. Breakfast was noisy and chaotic, and the variety was limited. The attention to detail needs improvement; there was dust on the wall hangings."

"This hotel was the best one throughout our trip. Having visited Kanazawa before, I knew all their hotels are basically on the same street, making the location extremely convenient for attractions and well-situated. So, I didn't choose the usual hotel but picked this one which seemed like a good value for money. And the check-in experience was absolutely perfect. It's been a while since I've experienced Japanese-style service, and their service here was quite good. Although it's not a traditional ryokan 'okami' service (where they unpack your bags), all their staff members were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. The hotel is directly opposite Oyama Shrine, and you can walk through to Gyokusen-en Garden. We spent about 20 minutes exploring it in the morning. However, one thing to note is that linen changes and bathroom cleaning are subject to an additional charge. This might be something to consider for longer stays, but since we were only there for two days, it wasn't an issue. We booked a room with some basic kitchen utensils, so we were able to buy ingredients from the supermarket and make sukiyaki, which helped us balance our diet during the trip. The hotel is also very close to Omicho Market, making it convenient to buy fresh seafood and other groceries. For those on a shorter trip, cooking might not be necessary. Also, the hotel is quite new, and the room wasn't small, so it was very comfortable."

"HOTEL MYSTAYS PREMIER Kanazawa – My Absolute Favourite of My 2026 Japan Trip! I stayed at HOTEL MYSTAYS Premier Kanazawa for three nights, and it ended up being my favourite hotel of my entire trip. The room was extremely clean and very spacious — at 32 sqm, it really was much larger than most hotels in Japan for the price paid and was very comfortable for a longer stay. The pricing was also very affordable for the space, quality, and comfort provided, making it excellent value for money. Service from the staff was also excellent — friendly, professional, and always helpful whenever we needed assistance. There is a bathtub provided with bath salts given at the front desk Food: I also tried the Kanazawa Gozen (last pic) recommended by the hotel, and it was fantastic. At 3,500 yen, it was well worth the price and a great way to experience local cuisine without leaving the hotel. Location: 5 mins walk from JR Kanazawa Station exit, pretty straightforward, with an underground walkway, which is noticeable after exiting and turning left. Overall, an outstanding stay and easily my top hotel choice during this trip. I truly hope to return and stay here again in the future."
